Wetherby 5 mins away by car. Excellent shops. Scenery beautiful. Lots of places to visit. Accommodation was delightful. Very much enjoyed our visit. Suzanne and Frank the hosts were friendly, helpful couldn’t have asked for more.

Great Stay in Wetherby Area

Had a great stay in the Fig Tree Barn. Good location for Wetherby and North Yorkshire. Suzanne and Frank were great hosts and very friendly. Five stars!

We had a lovely stay here. The property was clean, comfortable, warm and well equipped. Suzanne gave us a warm welcome and was really helpful. We will definitely stay again!

Great place to recharge batteries

Love this cottage, great centrally located area to experience all aspects Yorkshire has to offer. Quiet, peaceful, great wildlife to watch. Cottage, clean, comfortable, very bright and airy providing everything we required for a perfect stay. We would definitely recommend to others and hope to return soon.

Lovely location!

We really enjoyed our stay! The location was perfect for us as we travelled to the Yorkshire Dales, as well as to York. Suzanne and Frank were very helpful to us as we had a couple minor issues with heat and internet. Really enjoyed the quiet and privacy that this rental provided us!

Fabulous short stay

Staying at Susanne and Franks place was an absolute delight. They were so friendly and welcoming on arrival and the Procesco and flowers were a nice surprise. The barn was a lovely place to stay with every little detail having been thought of. Will definitely return.

Fabulous Accomodation

Fig Tree Barn was a lovely place to stay. It was spotlessly clean, decorated to a high standard with good sized rooms. The views from the lounge were impressive seeing rabbits and a family of deer. The hosts were very welcoming and gave us some useful tips for local places to visit. The location is perfect for York, Harrogate and Knaresborough.

Exactly what we were looking for

We had a great stay at Fig Tree Barn. It was a handy central location to get to all the places we wanted to go: York, Harrogate, Knaresborough & Wetherby. It’s a lovely cosy home from home - very clean and well equipped. The surroundings are lovely and my young children loved the sheep in the neighbouring field. Suzanne and Frank were welcoming, friendly and helpful.

Wonderful property in excellent location

This was our second visit to Fig Tree Barn and it met all our expectations. Suzanne and Frank were extremely welcoming and helpful. It is in a great location for visiting York, Harrogate, Knaresborough and all the surrounding countryside. The property is beautifully fitted out, has a balcony/terrace which catches the summer sun for much of the day. We had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing time and would highly recommend it.

A great place from which to explore God's own country

We had a wonderful time at the Fig Tree Barn. Suzanne and Frank are lovely people who really make you feel welcome. The Fig Tree Barn is an ideal place from which to explore all the beauty Yorkshire has to offer. York, Knaresborough,, the North Yorkshire Moors, the Yorkshire Dales and so much more. We had a great time and we hope to visit again someday. Highly reccomended!

Lovely Barn Conversion

My daughter and i stayed for a week at Fig Tree Barn. It was very clean with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen was well appointed and there was plenty of hot water for showers. The Barn was very well positioned for trips to York, Harrogate and Wetherby. Suzanne was very welcoming and showed us round on arrival. She was on hand if we needed help (which we didn't) but wasn't pushy. We would stay again!

Luxury accomodation in a perfect location.

Chose this property for the proximity to a family wedding, but so glad we did. The accomodation is pure luxury, extremely comfortable, well equipped and with amazing mattresses for a fabulous nights sleep. You are set in the country but with easy access to visit numerous places easily. You can sit and enjoy watching the birds and wildlife. The hosts are very friendly and accomodating and have made a wonderful place to stay. Highly recomend. Thankyou.

A Good Time Had by All

We were 2 couples staying at the property near Wetherby. There was plenty of room for us all, the beds were comfortable with good linen, we were warm, there was plenty of hot water and towels were big and soft. The kitchen was easy to use ,though we didn't use the dish washer. We appreciated the basic supplies, flowers and welcome bottle. As the outdoor space is limited, children could find the property confining. It's easy to watch the local bird life and squirrels from the comfort of the living room. The owners lived on site and were friendly without being intrusive. Because of the cool weather, we didn't use the outdoor seating area. We found the house central for lots of places to visit. We used the 'park and ride' to visit York where we needed at least two visits to see the sights. We also visited Harrogate and some National Trust properties in the wider area. There are a very good supermarkets in Wetherby with on site parking. Be careful in the free town parking as we collected a parking ticket for parking outside a marked space. I found communication with the owner to be easy she responded promptly to my emails. The property is good value and I didn't have to tie up a large amount of money for months with a damage deposit. I was very grateful for that. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend the property for other couples.

Thank you for your kind comments and really pleased that you enjoyed your stay. I would just like to add that we are very happy for children to use the orchard for a play area,to kick a ball around etc.There is also a picnic table for guests usage. Unfortunately the weather had recently been rather wet and we were unable to mow the grass so it was rather long.It is an ideal place in Summer when the grass can be kept shorter.
