Beautiful pool and stunning views

We were a group of 2 young families and had a fantastic stay. The infinity pool is larger than the photos make it look and the countryside views are stunning. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful house, great location

Fantastic house surrounded by beautiful countryside. The pool is amazing and was enjoyed by all. The kids didn’t want to leave it. Having the trampoline and bikes for all ages was an added bonus.

Perfect property location with great views , a/c and pool. 4 good bedrooms with views the 5th which was planned as the kids ‘dormitory’ had no a/c and was in the attic with steep stairs which were not child friendly which was not made clear. The property had not been properly cleaned before we arrived but we did a lot and the concierge helpfully did the rest at no charge. The owners need to upgrade some of the furniture, beds and kitchen were fine but the master had no drawers just a hanging cupboard- the sofa was a disgrace but at least the kids could not wreck it. Overall however we had a really good visit with 7 adults and 5 grandchildren just a shame it was slightly spoilt by the issues mentioned above. Would however recommend for a family holiday especially if the owners resolve the issues mentioned.

We are glad you enjoyed the property, despite a few issues encountered. The dormitory is indeed located in an attic converted into a 34 m² bedroom—visible in the photos—complete with windows. While there is no air conditioning, a large fan is provided, as stated in the listing. Access is via a steep space-saving staircase (also shown in the photo gallery), and the house rules specify that this sleeping area is best suited for children around 10 years old. Regarding cleaning, the house had been thoroughly cleaned, and the management service also performed a pre-arrival clean. However, you did not mention that you "rearranged" a large part of the house to make it your own—moving refrigerators, beds, a floor lamp, the wine cooler, the wardrobe, and so on—which explains why you spent time cleaning! In that regard, it would have been courteous of you to put everything back in its place before leaving. As for the main wardrobe in the bedroom, this is the first time we have received such feedback; we will look into adding an alternative solution. Finally, I am surprised by your comment about the sofa. It is relatively new; the armrests were damaged by tenants two years ago, so we covered the sofa to protect it. If you removed the cover, you would certainly have seen the damaged armrests! Nevertheless, it is perfectly functional. Best regards, Sophie

Wonderful but…

Beautiful house and location and the owners had thought of everything - really well equipped and obviously a much loved home. The concierge also looked after us really well and was amazing. Unfortunately all three of our children developed terrible ear infections from the dirty pool water and so we spent a lot of the holiday in the village doctors surgery.

We regret to learn that your stay was only partially satisfactory. I am sorry for this painful inconvenience which only affected you this summer because no one else, neither before nor since, has complained about the quality of the water. Indeed, there were some green algae which appeared with the extreme heat and which invaded the entire region but the pool specialist has come every week, since the start of the rental, to carry out maintenance and ensure quality water; Perhaps your child is not in the habit of jumping and diving into a swimming pool, which could have caused this serious ear infection problem. We have also left all the necessary equipment, including an advanced robot to be used twice a day in intensive mode, available to perfect the pool... Outstanding, relaxing, rural and very comfortable home.

What a stunning place, beautiful views and wonderful tranquility. Light and spacious with everything to hand that you would need. The pool is magnificent and much larger than you think. All the rooms are marvellous with lovely linen and plenty of towels with the same spectacular views. Plenty of games and equipment to keep both young and old busy, like cycling to the village for the cafe/boulangerie/supermarket. Fast internet. Gorgeous kitchen to make lunches and dinners if you like, and sit outside at the large circular table with tilted parasol. Ideal for one family and invite friends or two families. What a truly memorable relaxing 2 weeks.

Fantastische ervaring

Wij hebben enorm genoten van ons verblijf in dit luxueuze vakantiehuis dat ondanks de luxe binnenin toch de charmes heeft van een oud kasteeltje. Ruime kamers en badkamers, grote living met grote eettafel en gezellige salon. Goed uitgeruste keuken. Veel extra voorzieningen zoals fietsen (met kinderzitjes en helmen), Zwembad speelgoed, pingpong tafel, mogelijkheden om te gaan tennissen in het dorp, ... Het huis, zwembad en tuin waren heel proper. Communicatie met eigenaars super vlot. Nabijheid van supermarkt en bakkerij. Kortom: fantastische ervaring en een absolute aanrader.

Ferien mit Familie und Freunden

Die Lage des Hauses war wunderschön, der Pool mit Ausblick ein Traum. Leider war die Küche nicht gut gereinigt: Im Kühlschrank und den Schränken hatte es angebrauchte Lebensmittel, in den Schubladen Krümel und die Abwaschmaschine wusch sehr schlecht ab (auch nach Vorwaschen der Teller und des Bestecks), im Gefrierfach fanden wir halbe Baguettes. Auch eine Toilette mussten wir vor Gebrauch erst putzen. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können das Haus weiterempfehlen.

Guten Tag, Marianne, Ich freue mich, dass Sie das Haus trotz einiger Unannehmlichkeiten genossen haben: Wir haben tatsächlich den Filter des Geschirrspülers gefunden, der am Tag vor Ihrer Ankunft kaputt war. Wir haben einen neuen bestellt, der aus Deutschland kam und am folgenden Freitag verspätet ankam. Das erklärt die Enttäuschung... Außerdem ist es in französischen Ferienhäusern üblich, dass die Mieter Gewürze und andere Lebensmittel (Baguettes, Essiggurken usw.) zurücklassen, um späteren Gästen zu helfen, ohne alles neu kaufen zu müssen, es war einfach nur eine Hilfe... Was die Reinigung betrifft, so tut es mir aufrichtig leid, wir werden das Reinigungsteam darüber informieren. In jedem Fall danken wir Ihnen für Ihren Besuch und dafür, dass Sie das Haus und die wunderschöne Umgebung unserer schönen Charente genossen haben. Mit freundlichen Grüßen, Sophie

Best Holiday ever!

Beautiful property in peaceful countryside. The pool and views from the house are second to none. We were a large family group ranging from 2 - 72 years and we all had a wonderful relaxing time. Well equipped with two large fridge freezers, comfy beds and plenty of towels; small supermarket and delicious Boulangerie within walking/ cycling distance (& plenty fo bikes provided!) - what more can you want on holiday?! Magnificent air conditioning meant we all slept at night. I would thoroughly recommend.

Coup de cœur

Location coup de cœur à la résa qui a été confirmé à l’arrivée. La maison, la vue, l’emplacement, les équipements, la piscine… tout est organisé pour que chacun passe du bon temps ensemble tout en ayant son indépendance. Bravo et merci, le séjour était largement à la hauteur de nos attentes.

Uitzonderlijk mooie en luxueuze topwoning met prachtig zicht

Zeer mooie woning, zeer mooi uitzicht, vriendelijke eigenares, super comfortabele bedden, luxueuze handdoeken, alles tot in het kleinste detail neigt naar perfectie. Super verblijf!

Très belle propriété

Une magnifique propriété avec un très grand parc, sur un coteau, avec une grande piscine à débordement donnant sur une vue panoramique. La maison est très accueillante avec ses 4 chambres climatisées et une grande pièce à vivre.

Ruhe, Platz und Entspannung!

Wir hatten einen unvergessenen Aufenthalt in diesem wunderschönen Haus, etwas abseits von den Tourismuszentren. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet, das Areal sehr weitläufig, der Pool wurde von uns ausgiebig genutzt. Gefehlt hatte nichts. Etwas französisch sprechen zu können ist hilfreich bei der Übergabe, mit Google Translate aber auch zu meistern. Wir können insbesondere mit Kindern dieses Quartier nur empfehlen!

Family stay in May 2019

The property is beautiful with lovely views. The heated infinity pool was perfect for our family holiday including a ten month old. The village is a walk away and has a Spar and patisserie. We would recommend the property.

magnifique et relaxante propriété

Un vrai moment de détente dans cette magnifique piscine chauffée! Avec une vue incroyable sur des kilomètres de forêts, prairies...On a dû mal à en sortir !! Une grande maison vraiment spacieuse pour y venir entre amis ou en famille. Les chambres sont grandes avec leurs salles de bains chacune et la grande pièce du séjour est vraiment agréable à vivre! Nous avons pris également plaisir à être dans ce grand parc pour profiter du trampoline, faire du badminton jouer aux boules ou aux quilles... La terrasse en bois permet de continuer de profiter de cette sublime vue en déjeunant et dinant sur la grande table ronde. Saint-Séverin est un petit village avec tout ce qu'il faut (boulangerie, petit supermarché...) Les petits villages avoisinants sont également charmants (Aubeterre sur dronne...) et la région est sympathique: vraiment nous avons passé une semaine agréable et ressourçante...Merci
