About this property

This is a villa where everything around you constantly reminds you that you are in the heart of Provence. The view, the smell, the sense..

Villa Vue is an original provincial villa with charm, character, beautiful views and a private pool just 40 min from the famous sandy beaches of the Cote D'Azur. It is totally private and secluded - no other property overlooks the Provence villa, the terrace or the pool. The villa has several lovely sunny and shadow filled terraces and are placed in a large olive grove in several levels. The villa is placed in walking distance from the village - the bakery takes 10 min to reach. The villa has a big living room with couches and dining space and an open kitchen. Everything is traditional provencial style, furniture and kitchenware is excellent quality and good taste.

There is a large airconditioned masterbedroom on the first floor and an open staircase leading up to this bedrrom. Downstairs there are one airconditioned bedroom - with a queen size bed and an extra sofa/bed. There is one large bathroom connected to the masterbedroom and an outdoor bathroom downstairs. When showering you have the whole view of the mountains and the pittoreske village. The villa is non smoking.

The area: The area is popular for rambling with many paths through pine forests and olive groves. Biking is also a big hit - on mountainbike or on racer. France's Grand Canyon, the Gorges de Verdon is 1 h drive. It's nearly half a mile deep and plenty of view points make for a fabulous afternoon out. Lac St Cassien for all watersports is only 25 min drive away. The larger Lac St Croix (also good for watersports) is 45 min away at the mouth of the Gorges de Verdon.

Sandy beaches at Frejus and St Maxime 40 min drive. You can discover and enjoy many pretty medieval perched villages such as Tour Tour and Chateaudouble in the hills nearby.

The idea: We want you to have a wonderful holiday. We provide cotton linen for the beds, cotton towels for all the guests, all necessary kitchen utilities - the basics at least, soap for you and the dishwasher, and the pool is taken care of by our French caretaker - just to mention a few things. We have a wonderful and very helpful french caretaker couple, who meets you when you arrive and hands over the keys etc.

And a quick note; Sorry - but we do not do bargain or negotiate rates; the price is perfect for 2 adults looking for a whole and secluded house but a bit higher for families of 4 or 5. The pool is not large; 3x5 meters - but clear and blue!

Idyllic Hilltop Retreat

Eva’s villa is Claviers was just want we wanted on our summer holiday. We spent ours days enjoying the peace and quiet by the pool and then cooking up Provençal style meals in the super well kitted our kitchen and outside grill. Honestly, such a brilliant place. Thank you Eva!

Beautiful secluded villa in a perfect location

this villa is very private and not overlooked in any way. It is located on the side of a hill overlooking the village of Claviers. The village is just a 5 minute walk away and has some lovely restaurants and a small convenience store. The views are stunning. From the very moment we arrived there we felt at home and were very reluctant to leave.

Lovely house with a beautiful view

We had a very relaxing week at this house. Spent most of the time in the pool/taking in the view on the shaded terrace. The house is tastefully decorated and very well equipped. It’s a 5 min walk to the village which has 2 good restaurants and a nice wine bar. This is a perfect place for a couple.

Vi nød dette hus i fulde drag

Vi holdt en sen sommerferie i Provence og havde fundet huset på nettet. Var meget spændte på om fotos var realistiske.. Det var de. Her er utrolig smukt og huset er perfekt og skønt indrettet. Ligger to min fra byen og med udsigt til kirketårn og bjerge. Store anbefalinger herfra!

Totally peaceful, excellent setting, amazing view!

This was a great holiday to remember! We were travelling with our two daughters (10 & 14) and my mother in-law, and the house was excellent with three bedrooms and plenty of space indoors and on one of the charming terrasses all facing Claviers village. Everything in the house had a personal touch - good quality and we felt very welcome. Hope to get back next year.

Comfortable villa in charming village

Our family of four had a very pleasant stay in Claviers. We found the property as just as described and the photos very accurate. The owner responded to both telephone and email queries and provided useful information. The property was clean and well-maintained and the pool was cleaned every other day during our stay, when the caretakers were available if required. Appliances are very good quality (inc gas BBQ) and the beds very comfortable! Ample resources provided inc toilet rolls, soap, washing powder, dishwasher tabs etc. Best things about the property: the stunning views over Claviers, from the terrace, property windows and pool - lovely to sit on the terrace in the evening and watch the sunset; the pool, which the children made great use of; privacy - the property, gardens and pool are very private; proximity to the village - a short walk (few minutes) to the village. Claviers is a charming, small village with a (helpful) tourism information office, boulangerie (superb croissants), excellent pizzeria (inc takeaway), 2 other restaurants and a general store. Beyond the village, we enjoyed exploring the area including: swimming in Lac de St Cassien from pedalloes with slides; walking in the stunning Gorges du Verdon on the Sentier du Pecheur; a day at the beach (St. Maxime); and le Village des Tortues (tortoise conservation centre). We would recommend this property

Superb holiday in a lovely house

It was like being in one of those French movies taking place in Provence. The house and the terrasses had the most charming view overlooking the small village of Claviers, the garden was filled with olive trees, the house was tastefully decorated and very well kept. And the French couple helped and gave excellent advice. We will be back!

En idyl i den provencalske natur.

Vi har haft en pragtfuld uge i Villa Vue midt i den vidunderlige provencalske natur. Huset er meget veludstyret og i det gode vejr nød vi poolen - når vi ikke var på udflugter til de små byer rundt omkring. Huset kan nok især anbefales til +50.ere og er et ideelt sted at tilbringe en uge sammen med et godt vennepar. At sidde om aftenen på terrassen med et godt glad rosé i hånden og nyde udsigten over Claviers og landskabet, ja det er simpelthen livet. Markedet i Callas om lørdagen kan særligt anbefales og besøg også¨i samme by olivenolieproducenten Moulin de Callas - som sælger meget andet fra Provence end oliven.

Lovely spot! Super villa - quality and charm

This was indeed a lovely vacation. The house is furnished with everything - good quality in kitchenware and lots of silverware etc. The villa itself is spacious, sunny, light, tastfully furnished, clean, comfortable and well kept. In total it feels like a home. The house is located very close to the village - which has a weekly market that travels between the neighbouring villages. Furthermore the house has a great view and lots of privacy. It sits in the middle of an former olive orchard with it's own boulecourt and serveral terrasses. The pool is lovely and completely private.

Dejligt hus - skøn natur!

Tak for en dejlig ferie. Villa Vue passer til sit navn - men en utrolig udsigt fra alle terrasser, poolen og det smukke hus. Vi var 4 personer og der var god plads i den smukke stue, i det store masterbedroom ovenpå og de to gæsteværelser nedenunder. Alt var rent og pænt og med fantastisk gode senge! Og tak til det franske ægtepar som hjalp med alt - fra pool til informationer om området. Vores tip: tag til Sellians og lej rideheste!

Rigtig dejligt hus - fantastisk udsigt og by

Vi boede denne sommer i Claviers med vores 3 børn og havde en dejlig, smuk og hyggelig ferie. Huset er smagfuldt indrettet (ikke så sædvanligt), rent og med dejlige møbler. Noget af bedste var udsigten og stemningen af Provence, at spise hjemme eller på torvet i Claviers og cykle eller gå i bjergene. Mine varmeste anbefalinger!

Very delightful house, beautiful view

We stayed at Villa Vue this june and enjoyed it a lot. Sitting at the terrasse in the evening - enjoying the beautiful view over the small village, sunbathing and using the pool, waking in the nearby monutains and sipping rosé at the small restaurant on the village square. The villa itself is not huge, but very cosy and with an excellent kitchen and a huge master bedroom on the first floor.

Absolute aanrader

Prachtig huis met mooi aangelegde terrassen. Heel ruime woonkamer met complete keuken, alles in Franse stijl. Ongelofelijk uitzicht op het dorp Claviers, waar de Nederlandse film “Zomer in Frankrijk” is opgenomen. Rust, zoals je zelden nog meemaakt. Prima zwembad dat netjes wordt onderhouden. We hebben het fantastisch gehad!

Little bit of Heaven in Claviers

The villa is well located in this beautiful area of Provence. We had a 3 week very peaceful break, the villa is well equipped, clean and comfortable. The caretaker kept the pool sparklingly clean during our stay. The position of the villa commands a wonderful view over the village below but is also not overlooked and very private. A 5 minute walk down a wooded track to the village of Claviers with a small selection of restaurants, a mini supermarket and bar was lovely.

Un petit coin de paradis

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour reposant : la maison est bien située pour visiter la région, et à 5 minutes à pieds du petit village charmant. La piscine très agréable. Une vue magnifique de la terrasse. Simone et sa fille qui nous ont accueillies sont d"une grande gentillesse. Enfin, tout était parfait.

Schönes Haus

Der Blick ins Tal ist unglaublich schön, von der Terrasse, dem Wohnbereich und dem Hauptschlafzimmer. Der Wohnbereich ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, die Küche gut ausgestattet. Über die Bowle Bahn haben wir uns sehr gefreut. Man braucht nur 5 Minuten ins Dorf, da gibt es wunderbare Croissants und Baguettes und ein sehr gutes Restaurant. Ich würde nur mit 2 Kindern hinfahren, da das 2 Schlafzimmer mit Fenster und Glastür an den Wohnraum grenzt. Außerdem steht dem 2 Schlafzimmer nur die Außendusche zur Verfügung und es gibt auch Regentage - das Hauptschlafzimmer kann nur über eine Klappe vom Wohnraum geschlossen werden. Der Pool ist nichts für Schwimmer, die Sport treiben wollen, zu klein und zu wenig tief. Wir hatten Regentage und da kann man nicht Außen sitzen, weil es keine Feste Überdachung gibt, das ist Schade, weil es bleibt ja trotz Regen warm. Es riecht oft nach Kläranlage, aber das wird Eva bestimmt ändern können. Unser Gesamteindruck- wir kommen wieder 👍😊

Maison très agréable et cadre idyllique

Prachtige villa

Excellent séjour

la propriété a une vue exceptionnelle sur le village de Claviers. Elle est très joliment décorée et possède tout le nécessaire pour un excellent séjour. La région est magnifique. Les personnes qui nous ont remis les clés et qui assurent l'entretien de la piscine sont adorables.

Paradise in Provence

This was by far the most beautifully decorated holiday home we've ever rented. It was really a joy to stay there. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped, which my husband loved as he enjoys cooking dinners. We also loved how secluded and quiet the pool was. Overall, a magical stay!
