Chiado 9 is a flat of unique characteristics in the heart of town: a full of light, spacious, simultaneously refines and cosy apartment, completed with a generous size patio and garden - an unusual luxury in the luxurious Chiado quarter!
The layout, the location, detailed décor and the patio and garden put this unit on top of what Lisbon has to offer.

Apartment can accommodate up to 4 adults and one child.
Entrance opens to a hall that leads the way to the first, pleasant size, bedroom, equipped with an extra double bed. Bedroom has open entrance to a very large large closet room equipped with a real single bed, where a child can sleep or that can be used as a sofa.
Second bedroom is same pleasant size and also equipped with an extra double bed and a large wardrobe. To be noted that second bedroom gets naturali light fom the living room only.
Living room is extremely large, full of light with its floor to ceiling windows facing the patio. Leisure area and dinning area are clearly separated.
Kitchen is on the narrow size but very functional and well equipped.
In addition there is a small study/working area, a full bathroom and another half bathroom.
Access to the patio and garden is made from the living room and from the kitchen. This wide exterior area is very sunny and surrounded by high walls and vegetation. Patio and garden can be used to have meals al fresco, socialize, sun bathing or simply reaxing after a hard day visiting town.

Apartment Chiado 9 is suitable for guests aiming to stay with all comfort in the heart of town with the possibility of spending quality time while in the apartment.

Great stay in lisbon

Great location to lots of restaurants and bars but not noisy. Mario met us and showed us round. Added bonus of court yard garden. Would stay here again

Beautiful and centrally located

This sunny apartment has everything you need for a vacation in Lisbon! Right in the heart of the city, it’s walking distance from most of the main attractions, restaurants, and shops. The host is friendly and has great recommendations for things in the area. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean.

It is a great appartment !

A comfortable home in a vibrant sage naighbourhood with a lovely back terrace.

A spacious property well situated in an area convenient to walking and transit. Three sleeping areas, a lovely living/ dining room opening onto a terrace. We were impressed by the property and had an excellent orientation from Mario. A superb spot for a group or family!

Truly the perfect location. You are steps away from some of the most beautiful sites in Lisbon. You get the comfort of a big home with a dedicated outdoor space all while in the middle of the city.

Absolutely great!

Far better than a hotel, this house is pretty big, and easy to live in. Rooms are pretty good size, and there’s a fully functional kitchen we used. The small outdoor area was really nice too, private and quiet. Mario was very helpful ahead of time, and made the check out process simple! Would absolutely stay again next time in Lisboa.

Spacious apartment in a good location

Mario was very helpful and check in was a breeze. The apartment was well located as it was close to some good restaurants (Super Mario, Duque) and walking distance to the shopping district. There is a set of stairs to climb (about 8-10) steps to get to the apartment, but the place was very clean and as described. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Great location, needing some work

Overall this place is stunning and located perfectly. The only issue we had were mildew odors in both bathrooms that they tried to mask with odor eliminators. We were told the place is about to be updated. If they redo the bathrooms it will make the place perfect.

What an amazing property. The pictures are very accurate. We did not expect to have so much space. The bedrooms are large; there is even a separate work space. The backyard is a wonderful surprise. The location is perfect - Chiado is a great neighborhood. No street noise at all. Mario is an excellent host. If this property is available… grab it!!

Fantastic

Exactly what was in VRBO listing. Location was perfect and we got lots of exercise on the hills which is a plus. On top of that Mario stored our bags in office across street. I loved the orange tree and had fresh squeezed in mornings. The door lock is old and a bit finicky so be aware of this.

Fado Flats in Chiado, Lisbon

We stayed two days in Chiado and the experience was great. Mario is great, he waited for us until close to midnight, gave us tips about all the important points of interest in the area, and he is a great communicator (we don't speak Portuguese so his flawless English was a welcomed benefit). He helped us to with the transfer to and from the airport, which I highly recommend if planning to be at that location with heavy or bulky luggage. The place was neat (in June with ripe oranges in the backyard as a bonus), spacious, close to restaurants and locations of touristic interest, well furnished and supplied. We highly recommend it.

Great Home Base for Exploring Lisbon

A very large and comfortable place from which to explore Lisbon. No air conditioning, but opening up windows and using fans will keep you comfortable in Lisbon's climate. Two large bedrooms, with a third attached bedroom. Incredible outdoor space to wind down during the evening or eat a meal under a lime tree. Laundry facilities on site is a huge advantage. The apartment is located on a fairly steep hill, and it's up about 10 very steep stairs. But Mario was more than willing to help us bring in our luggage. And by day two we became used to the hills of Lisbon.

Bug apartment in the perfect location

The apartment is on a fairly quiet street in Chiado area. We loved the location because it was short walks to some main areas with restaurants and shops, along with the Metro and tram 28 line. It is also by a couple points of interest such as the Carmo Convent and the Santa Justa elevator. We were able to walk everywhere. The apartment itself was bright and open and had a lot of space for our boys. We took advantage of the yard and the kids played mini soccer games while we sat under the tree. It's a really nice place to come back to and unwind after the busy days. I highly recommend this apartment for anyone looking to explore Lisbon.

A Gem!

Spacious and clean. The outside space would be a real asset in the summer, although in early March the weather was not good enough for us to use it. We did have the benefit of a plentiful supply of oranges from the tree with freshly squeezed juice every morning. The stairs to the apartment are steep and not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. There is a reassuringly rugged lock on the apartment door.

Quirky, interesting, but challenging for mobility-limited folk

Our group of four had mixed feelings about this property. On the positive side, our host Mario was very accomodating and helpful. Thank you Mario!! The neigbourhood is interesting, it seems safe, and it has lots of restaurants and shops near-by. Oh yes -- and a lot of stairs. The flat is, not surprisingly, old, quirky, and full of character. The floors change level in several places (a tripping/falling hazard for some). The electrical circuits are baffling, with nested light switches. The kitchen is very tight, with very limited counter space. The stairs to get up to the second-floor apartment can be treacherous. One of our party fell badly coming out the front door to the street. If you like to experience living accommodations in older urban neighbourhoods, then this flat is interesting and fun. If anyone in your party is mobility-challenged, then this flat can be a struggle.

Lisbonne, ville très agréable.

Nous avons été très bien reçu par Mario, le propriétaire, qui parle français parfaitement, nous devions avoir l'appartement pour 15h et au final à 12h c'était bon! Celui-ci est bien placé, dans une rue calme où se trouve seulement un très bon restaurant. Il est conforme à la description de l'annonce sans souci! Après de bonnes ballades dans cette belle ville, c'est un endroit fort agréable pour se détendre et se reposer afin de sortir le soir car Lisbonne est tout aussi sympa le jour que la nuit. C'est une ville où l'on se sent paisible avec des gens gentils et où il y a plein de choses à voir et à déguster!!! Bref.....7 jours de pur bonheur!
