The best part about this property is the outside. On a lake. Nice deck, nice side lounge area. Nice firepit. All looking at the lake. House is smaller than in pictures and older than expected but worked fine. Right off a road which I did not know from the listing. Hostes was great. I would recommend this place.

Cozy house to spend day by the lake. It would’ve been better to have more light by the fire pit area. Not easy to launch kayak as loading dock is very small. Driveway is narrow, can fit 2 cars(medium suv) maximum vertically. Poison ivys present in the backyard.

Thank you so much for sharing your feedback! I’m sorry that a few things made your stay less convenient. Regarding parking, while the driveway itself is somewhat narrow and comfortably accommodates about two cars, there is also a parking lot right next to the building with plenty of additional parking available if needed. For the kayak, there are actually two docks. One is quite small, but there is also a longer dock that is much easier for launching kayaks. It’s possible you may not have noticed the second dock, and I’m sorry if we didn’t make its location clear enough. As for the fire pit, there are lights on the deck directly above the fire pit area. I’m sorry if the lighting wasn’t obvious or didn’t provide quite enough illumination for you.

Gisela's home was lovely! The view is unmatched, and for a small home, there's a ton of outdoor seating. My mom and I had a wonderful visit. We took a day trip to Mohonk Mountain house for lunch and day passes, and that was divine too. This is a beautiful area and the house was perfect for us. Thank you!

This cottage was smaller than I envisioned, but incredibly well appointed and efficient. Everything we needed was available, including pasta and sauce for arrival, a jar of the owner's honey, so many tea options, and a starter coffee supply for every method of brewing: Nespresso, Keurig, drip, French press, maybe even pour over... I stopped counting!)The outdoor dining and seating options nearly double the living space, and the views of Sturgeon Pool are extremely pleasant. I took advantage of the provided kayaks and spent several hours watching eagles,* osprey, herons, * cormorants,* turtles and beavers.* From the deck we also saw and heard a wonderful collection of birds.We planned this trip to visit the Hyde Park sites, but also spent a good bit of time in Kingston. We highly recommend Blue Duck Brewing and Ship to Shore.*see photos
