Great place to stay for a mountain family trip. We enjoyed the inside fireplace as well as the fire pit outside. The kitchen is big enough to have multiple people in it at one time - made cooking much more enjoyable!

Perfect spot

This property screams NC mountains- old school cottage feel, Watauga river acces, and close enough to town for all your needs. We hit up Tweetsie railroad, Grandfather Winery, and downtown shopping/eating. You won’t be disappointed- book it!

Cozy cottage as advertised

Cottage was perfect. Only challenge was the bridge to get to the property washed out while we were there, but it was repaired the very next morning. Gould went above and beyond in keeping us informed

Thanksgiving 2024

Authentic cabin in the woods experience. Cozy, comfortable and warm living areas and a fully stocked kitchen with all the essentials and more. We really had a nice time and spent most of it just hanging out cooking, reading, relaxing, playing games, and watching some holiday football games.

Charming cottage

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It’s so historically charming but still very well equipped! My daughter kept saying she felt like Snow White. Gould was a great host and very communicative. The location is great- remote enough to feel like you’re getting away but close enough to all the activities, shopping and restaurants you could want. Would definitely stay there again!

Cute cottage

The property is great. Mainly an old log cabin with additions. Plenty of room and we were able to cook meals in the full kitchen. View of the river and front yard were great. Would like to have known more about the access way to the property.

Wonderful Cottage

We loved staying here!! It is so beautiful, well kept. They really do have a well stocked kitchen and the fireplace was the perfect addition. I believe one of my friends was already looking at availability for Thanksgiving during our stay because she loved it so much!!
