Dollar Point Lakeview is a multi level, classic Tahoe home with filtered views of the lake and mountains! A great home for family and friends! Enjoy beautiful Lake Tahoe while staying in a spacious, well-furnished four bedroom, two-bath home located on a quiet cul-de-sac.

Enter into the well equipped kitchen and dining area of this vintage home with a half staircase leading to the open living room with gas burning fireplace. The living room walks out onto the back deck featuring filtered lake and mountain views. You'll also find a music system and LCD HDTV with DVR and Cable.

The middle level features a queen bedroom, bunk room with a shared hall bathroom while the lower floor has an another queen bedroom, room with two twins and the second bathroom. Perfect for two families with kids or friends looking to vacation in a classic Tahoe cabin!

Located in Dollar Point 2 miles east of Tahoe City.
Summer vacationers can also bike along the bike path into Tahoe City (only 2 miles) and along the Truckee River towards Squaw Valley or down the scenic West Shore.

Parking:
Parking is available for a maximum of 4 vehicles. All cars must park on the driveway. No street parking per county ordinance.
Prepare for mountain or winter weather driving in winter months. This may mean Four wheel drive with snow tires or chains. Check weather or road reports. AWD and 4WD necessary to get up the mountain roads and some driveways in the winter months.

Other things to Note:
* Renters must be 25+
* This is a non-smoking home.
* Pets are not allowed at this home.
* Maximum Occupancy per county ordinance is 10 adults.
* Use of the BBQ is not guaranteed in winter months, due to limited access.
* Use of outdoor furniture is not guranteed in the winter.

The best thing about this property is the big windows and views of the lake. The only issue we had was the thermostat. There are 4 levels and we could not get all levels to a comfortable temperature at the same time. Other than that everything else was fine.

This was a yearly girls trip for 5 in their sixties who all went to high school together.

We loved that there were plenty of bed and bedrooms. We enjoyed morning coffee on the deck and evening sunsets. Everything was provided and we lacked nothing.

Great week of skiing

This was one of the best views I’ve had in a vacation rental. Very close to both Tahoe city and palisades Tahoe ski resort with a great view of the lake from the fireplace. The home was cozy even on the coldest nights. I would recommend having chains or 4 wheel drive during the snowy months.

Nice location / Old used home

Great location, deck not swept and ready for use, furniture is pretty old and used, little to no ventilation or air circulation. 100 degrees inside when 82 outside. Lots of cobwebs, it just felt really run down in regard to the picture in the web. Great location though and offers a great view.

Breathtaking views, functional house

We had trouble opening the lock box. There are actually 2 lockboxes, and it was not specified which lock box to use. The newer lock box didn't look like a lock box, so we were standing for about 10 minutes in the cold trying to figure it out when someone finally did. Instructions for that should definitely be updated & corrected. The rest of the house was completely functional, notwithstanding the "rental" level of furniture & amenities. (Could use more wine glasses!) :-) Beds were comfy. Tip: Keep bedroom & bathroom doors slightly open at night to avoid getting too hot from the thermostat.

Friendsgiving 2016 Success

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our experience with Tahoe Rental Company and the Lakeview Cabin were both great. Shauna made booking the place easy, and answered all my questions. Check-in was simple, and the cabin was right around the corner from the rental office. Inside it's a bit "vintage," but the styling gives it an authentic, cozy, mountain feel. It was big enough to sleep all 10 of us, and we even ate our Friendsgiving dinner together at the giant dining table. It's close to shops and skiing, and there's access to a beautiful beach if you're so inclined. PRO TIP: If you're like us and you enjoy sleeping in, make late check-out arrangements prior to arriving and enjoy the extra time in the morning. All together, I'd definitely book through Tahoe Rental Company again, and we might even have another Friendsgiving at the Lakeview Cabin in 2017.

I’m very very disappointed on the cleaninless of this property. There was spider webs everywhere and when I mean everywhere is everywhere. The outside deck was very uninvited to hang out at , there was dust everywhere seem like they have never washed outside , I had to personally cleaned the barbecue and had to wash the floors outside because they were so dusty . My husband had to go and get the outside furniture because nothing was ready for use , for the amount of money we paid we expected at least the outside furniture to be out . The shower tub was full of spider webs and spiders . I understand the house been very old but I don’t understand not been clean . This is my review for your property

Old Tahoe Charm- Needs updating

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: the property was extremely dark and out dated inside. The living space really needed cobwebs cleaned from fireplace at ceiling and the paneling walls needed a fresh up with brighter color or just white walls would make a huge improvement.The living space needed some updated soft comfortable furnishings,including lamps that can accommodate bulbs higher that an 60 watt bulb.Reading was almost impossible.The bedroom were even darker. No real lighting, one small low watt lamp per bedroom is not acceptable.Beds were extremely hard- also needs better quality bedding.The bathrooms also dark even with a window. the sliding glass showers doors were almost impossible to slide open and close. Again update needed, brighter fresh paint needed better lighting in the bathrooms. In the downstairs bathroom, the shower head was not high enough for any adult! Both shower heads needed replacement.Kitchen, Really, no china that matched? It looked like a flea market. No charm there. Could not find a full set of pots and pans? WAY....WAY too much stuff on tight! and cluttered!The deck ( the reason I selected this rental)looked like it would have been nice to use and see the lake, Unfortunately, with the massive fire, and hazardous air quality we could not go out side. What should have been a week stay turned into a 36 hours stay. We did called the Tahoe rental company several times to check fire status prior to leaving for our stay in lake Tahoe. The staff at the Tahoe Rental company were very helpful and professional.

We did have most of what we needed. The parts of our stay that were challenging were circumstantial to the fact that we stayed during a severe storm. We had to stay another night because we could not get out of the court of the driveway in a two wheel drive with chains. We also worried about how we would eat in the coming days while snowed in, if we lost power since we found out the appliances after check-in were electric. The only slight thing we’d recommend to the owner is that the top rail of one of the bunk beds is missing. We planned on 4 of our kids sleeping in that room but had to pivot a little since it wasn’t safe. Outside of that, the communication was good, they let us know we could extend our stay they text us about the situation surrounding possible outages. We had certain essentials upon arrival. And the view was absolutely unmatched to anything we’ve stayed in before. We would stay here again with a little more planning.

Our discomfort was with the furniture and bedding. I get it that you don't want nice stuff ruined by inconsiderate renters but the furnishings are awful. We found trash and clothing under furniture which lead me to believe the carpet was not vacuumed. We were please with the comfort of the bed and I was glad I had brought my own blanket.

Snowed in at Tahoe

Unfortunately, we were snowed in on Sunday and the electricity went out, which is common during Tahoe storms. Even though the storm was expected, the house had no backup heat source. The fireplace was supposed to have a battery (according to the manual in the kitchen), but the battery was dead, leaving us without heat for the whole day. Of course the stovetop and the oven were also electric. We tried calling the emergency line to get support with the fireplace, we were told that if it doesn’t turn on it’s not working and get extra blankets... Overall, the house was good, but I wish there was better emergency preparedness as our situation was not unique. Simple things like changing the battery in the fireplace, giving us more than 1 snow shovel and extra toilet paper (we got 4 rolls for 10ppl for 3 days) would’ve been great.

Family reunion

Twas indeed a fun and relaxing stay.We were surprised at how efficient the process of booking and how organized is everything from the rental house to checking out! Privacy is outmost important to us and we weren’t disappointed.The house is stocked with every that we needed.Thank you and I will surely recommend this place and will surely use u again for future bnb need!

Beautiful cabin and wonderful location.

Everything was great. Mother Nature had other ideas and snowstorm caused a power outage. Unfortunately, everything is electric including fireplace. Notes said battery back up was available but we were not able to utilize it. Cindy was very helpful!

Wonderful Weekend

While there was no snow during our stay, we found plenty to do in the area. A little shopping, disk golf, hiking and most importantly, plenty of relaxation. The cabin was warm and cozy and offered a beautiful view. Different floor levels allowed some to nap while others could gather. The cabin has old school charm with creaking steps and thin walls. It’s not a 5 star resort but had everything we needed. The price point was fair (although cleaning & fees double the nightly rate). The neighborhood was quiet and the stars were bright! Recommendations: a new teapot or electric kettle, perhaps an updated stove (but we are used to gas so electric was just different…) and lastly new beds.
