Playas del Coco

Great little condo rental not far from amenities like restaurants and grocery stores. Fairly close to beaches and the downtown core. Melina the property manager was top notch. She responded to every text/call very quickly. Was extremely helpful with tour options and last minute rentals. Highly recommend her or any of her properties

Would recommend, but it's not on the beach

Owner is very easy to work with and very quick to respond! Location is minutes walk to the beach but it is not on the beach as one of the pictures makes you think. Close to everything and a very nice pool right out the door to relax in!

Nice place to stay near Coco beach

Unit was comfortable and as advertised. It could benefit from a de clutter and organization in the kitchen cupboards. Outdoor space is lacking with a small pool and that’s about it. We spent our pool time with our friends down the road at the Jade Beach unit.

We really enjoyed staying at Christina's condo. Perfect for our first visit to Costa Rica and great value relative to the other rentals in the area. This condo is really close to the beach and the shops but set back enough to provide great privacy. Great pool to cool of in and and nice little community of residents. Felt very safe.. the condo had every amenity we could hope for. Our sister was with us for the first week and then checked in to Timeshare property using a friends points. this timeshare property rents for $400 a day and she said she much preferred Christina's condo. I think its a great choice for a young family or two couples.

All About the Property Manager

The stay would have been a lot more disappointing without the diligent work of Melina. We had booked a lovely unit for four of us...clean, cute with a lovely-looking pool. We had travelled all day from Nicaragua by local buses and faced a bridge failure and a tropical downpour. We were hot and tired. We got into the Coco Beach area and contacted Melina from a restaurant called Santorini (they let us use their wifi and then served us a most excellent meal). She picked us up well after our check-in time (which I didn't realize was 6:00pm) and brought us to the unit we booked. We were so relieved for the air-conditioning and the thought of having a shower. Once Melina left, we began to unpack, but then discovered there was no water for the toilets or the shower! We were a bit crushed. I texted Melina and told her we could not live without water after the day we had and she came back to get us and put us in another unit. She set up the beds and we made sure there was water. This suite, unfortunately, was not as cute and clean as the one we had originally booked and I would look to VRBO to ensure we are not charged the same rate for this substitute.Melina was very responsive, knowledgeable about the area and keen to ensure a positive experience. We stayed two nights and she drove us to the airport very early to catch our 7:00am flight. So, this stay was really about the property manager and not at all about the accommodation. Thank you, Melina!

Mauvaise information

Lors de la réservation en ligne, les photos et l'emplacement géographique étaient erronés. Sur les sites VRBO et Expédia, les photos démontraient très clairement que la piscine donnait directement sur l'océan. Même que sur EXPÉDIA, la première photo ( image initial) était une photo de la piscine avec un couché du soleil en arrière-plan. De plus sur la Map des deux sites, le lieu était épinglé directement sur le bord de l'eau. En réalité, le condo se situe à plus de 15 minutes de marche de la plage. Les photos étaient de la fausse publicité et imaginé la deception lors de notre arrivé. Pour le reste, tout était parfait ( propreté, équipement, acceuil )

Extended Stay in Paradise

It is the first time my husband and I have done an extended stay during the winter months. We stayed for 8 weeks in Cocco and absolutely loved it. The unit was perfect. The property is well maintained and quiet. The space was great for us and the location is very convenient. We cannot wait to return next winter. Thank you for the great stay!!

Enjoyed our Stay!

We enjoyed our time at this property. We stayed here for four days with our 3 teenage children ages 12, 14, and 16. It felt a little cramped at times with 5 people but we didn’t usually hang out inside too much. When we were at the condo we were usually outside in the common area. Many people winter here so they were the regulars. All were extremy friendly and helpful. the property manager, Krista, was also wonderful and on top of things. The space was well decorated and mostly updated. The kitchen has mostly what you need including an oven, refrigerator and microwave. To sleep 5 there is a cot upstairs or the couch downstairs. It’s a tight squeeze to put the cot in the. bedroom but we did it. My kids loved the pool. I wish the pool area had a little more room for eating or playing cards. there’s a table with 4 chairs and then about 3 other chairs to lay down. I also wish they would have a no smoking rule. We were sitting in the upstairs porch in the evening and people were smoking right below us in the common area so we had to go back inside on a beautiful evening. The place was very clean. Has to give it 4 stars because the back porch area isn’t usable and not quite updated yet. I did appreciate the clothesline to dry swimsuits and towels. Could use some new clothespins though. The location is great. Close to a mini market for food and come delicious restaurants. Theres a cute crepe and waffle place where we had breakfast and we loved the Mexican place by the mini market. Delicious huge burritos. Toucanoos looked great too, but we didn’t eat there. Beach is about a ten minute easy walk, as is the downtown area. Overall, I would recommend this place. We had a great time!

Clean, Safe, Comfortable

My 2 girlfriends and I stayed here for a week and it was wonderful. Krista was very communicative before and during our trip despite being quite ill. We had one little issue with a broken lock and within 24 hours had a locksmith there and had a resolve pretty immediately. The complex is mostly quiet, there is a little sitting area outside the pool that the neighbors utilized most nights and it's right outside the door of the unit so can be a bit noisy but not all that bothersome. The pool is literally outside the door so it was perfect for easy drink refills or AC breaks on pool days. The AC in every room as well as ceiling fans were a blessing. The kitchen was more than adequate with toaster, microwave, fridge, freezer, stove, oven and all the pots and pans and things you need to cook. There is one picture in the listing that shows the sunset at the beach and that threw us off as we thought the complex was nearer to the beach but it is about a 10 minute walk which is well lit in the early mornings/late night. Security is present outside the building all night which was such a nice piece of mind. We loved the little grocery store that is at the entrance of the community, halfway between the condo and the beach. We at ate the pizza place and also the cafe a few times and all were wonderful. The condo definitely exceeded our expectations and without question we would stay again!

AMAZING!!!!!

I had the best stay ever, it far exceeded my expectations!!! Super clean condo, it had everything you could possibly need. Beach towels, lots of linens. The pool is right outside the door and is walking distance to the beach! I felt safe the whole time, I saw security coming around frequently to check on things. The pool area and grounds were clean, there were people constantly tending to it. The property manager Krista was fabulous, she gave me tons of information on where to go and things to see, also had a binder prepared for me filled with infomation. The bed was comfortable, nice sheets!!! The weather was great, the people were amazing and I cannot wait to go back! Thank you!!!

Wonderful two weeks in Coco

On the whole our accommodation was great. It was within walking distance to the beach and town center. We had a welcome basket, coffee, cookies, juice etc plus there was toilet paper in the bathrooms (people from another unit arrived very late and there was nothing) made us appreciate what we had. The furniture in the unit was modern and comfortable. However I would suggest more attention to cleaning - dirt and hair under the couches and beds, the baths and the outdoor areas (back & upper deck) were very dirty and the couches could use a vacuum. The door to the upper deck would not open but one call to Chris brought out help immediately to open it - unfortunately the whole door unit is bent and needs replacing so had to be very careful opening/closing the door or it would fall off track. Unit had a bbq which we used almost every night, but the middle knob was missing so could only use 1/3 of the grill but there were only 2 of us so it worked. The property itself is a little tired. It has a washer/drier which was great, limited pool furniture and some of it was broken and it could use better night security. We had left 2 sets of snorkel gear and a new pair of hikers in the back sink to dry they were stolen during the night. Other than the theft nothing was too bad that it spoiled our trip.

A place in paradise

Beautiful, peaceful and close to everything you need !

This is a beautiful, well maintained property and condo with an amazing and clean pool. Our beds were cozy too which made our stay even better with the feels of home away from home. Loved how close we were to everything we needed. A mini supermarket for food and beverages to take back to the condo, a nice cafe, restaurants, beach and coco beach strip - all within walking distance or a $2.00 cab ride. We absolutely loved our 1 week stay and will be back ! Highly recommend....

Excellent Condo!

This condo is in a lovely neighborhood and has a swimming pool that is rarely in use. The pool is not huge, but we were the only ones in it. The unit has everything you need. Coffee machine, blender, toaster, and grill. We grilled out a couple of times, and it was wonderful. Plenty of plates, cups, utensils, etc. Having two full bathrooms was amazing! Laundry is directly across from the unit and is free to use, which was lovely. There is a darling little plaza in the neighborhood with several boutique restaurants (amazing food), a mini mart, and a liquor store. Two areas for consideration although they did not impact us at all. There are a number of stairs (12-14) that are tile. If you have a little one, you might want a baby gate or you would need to keep a close eye on your little one. Second, we had a car, but if you don't, you will either want to taxi (which is very easy and affordable) as walking on the main road to town is a little sketchy. Again, it was fine for us. We did walk it twice, but you are walking on the road. Lastly, Christine, owner of the condo, is super responsive, and Krista, the manager, is amazing! If you stay here, you will not be disappointed. We loved our stay!!
