This apartment is in an excellent location for exploring Madrid. It was spotlessly clean, and ,although I have never accessed a property using a link on my smart phone it was fine. ( it wouldn't have done for my husband who doesn't have one!). The apartment is in a residential block and the windows open onto the inside of the building so there is little natural light. Personally I found the apartment too warm despite the air con and would have loved to be able to open window to let some air in. I felt it wasn't somewhere to come back to during the day for a rest and we were only there for sleeping and breakfast.

The hosts were extremely welcoming and supportive. They gave us lots of ideas for enjoying our two-week stay to the fullest. Subsequently we had an unbelievable time in Madrid and its environs. This second floor apartment is in a central location with an amazing variety of places to see within walking distance. The Atocha train station is about a ten minute walk and the nearest Metro station is within five minutes. We were delighted with getting to know the neighborhood as well as exploring others places of interest.

Great location for a short stay in Madrid

Close to all of the main attractions in Madrid and to the Metro. Also close to Atocha railway station so good for visits outside of the city too. Property is clean and has all amenities required for a short stay for two people. Hosts communicate well.

We had a great stay at this apartment in Madrid. So close to many attractions and the Atoche Train Station. It was easy to walk around the neighborhood or to grab a subway at the Anton Martin metro station.

Functional Madrid

This vrbo worked well for us. 10 minute walks to Prado as well as Museum Sofia. 25 minute walk to Plaza Mayor. Many bars and restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk, but more of a functional location.

This is a nice apartment on a quiet street in Madrid. Great location, as it is near many sites to visit, as well as close to the train station and subway station. We found a yummy tapas place 2 minutes from our door, and had breakfast at a cute restaurant at the end of our block. We did not cook at the apartment, so I cannot comment on that; only had coffee. Initial access requires your cell phone; mine got lost en route to the apartment, so I did not have that ability to unlock the door that way. We called the host number (I did have a print-out of the location/contact) and they were very helpful in getting us in (remotely!), and once in, had a key to use for our stay. My only complaint of this apartment is that there is very little, negligible, natural light. There are 2 small windows in the bedroom but they are near the ceiling and have blinds covering them (not reachable). There is adequate lighting in the apt but I could not just look out to see if the sun was out or not or if it was raining. Not a big deal, as we did not spend all that much time in the apartment during the day.

Never again! Worst experience ever BEWARE! This is a third party host which means the communication will be poor should you have an emergency. Three days before my arrival i was informed i would need data on my phone to check in as they send a link. I informed the host the data on my phone was slow and sometimes didn't work. I was 2.5 weeks into my trip and this was only a problem in a similar situation when I needed to review the check-in process online. They were very agreeable and the night before agreed to meet me at the apartment and physically hand me the keys. I arrived at the train station and was concerned because the address i had a screen shot of was 2.5 hours away. It was an hour before our agreed upon meet up time and I began to panic being a single female traveling alone. I reached out to them via whatsapp and VRBO and asked for confirmation of the address...no response. So I bought several train tickets and was about to get on a train when I decided to not go anywhere before hearing from them. 1.5 hours and 30 min after our agreed upon meet up time they responded asking where I was. I was told they would not wait any longer and were leaving the keys in a lockbox in the city. I told them i had a 50 lb suitcase and 15 lb tote bag and would cancel payment on my cc if they did not get me the keys. At this point they became argumentative and stopped answering me.

Property had great location but is really suitable for younger people ,not seniors. Unit was tiny; internet pictures do not accurately depict size. Unit lacked dryer for washing clothes. Second floor description really involves 4 flights of stairs.

L'hébergement est très agréable, très propre avec le nécessaire pour y vivre. Un point très fort est son emplacement qui permet de visiter la plupart des principaux sites de Madrid à pieds.

Great location with small trade offs

Great location near markets, shops and restaurants. Place has a lot of character and management are very responsive to inquiries. Overall a very nice place. We did have quite loud neighbors most evenings late into the night. The wifi and air conditioning are pretty poor.

Madrid Trip

Great property if you want a centralized location on a quiet street. It is not located in a touristy area, but close proximity. We walked everywhere from here. Close to real local cuisine, which is so much better than the tourist areas. We went during an extra warm days so the apartments heats up a bit as the AC cools to 25C, but it was not unreasonable. All needed amenities were accessible and usable. It had what we needed as a home base to see Madrid.

Great location

A very comfortable apartment in a great part of Madrid. 5 minutes walk to two different metro lines makes getting around Madrid very easy. Lots of interesting food choices close by.
