Fantastic cottage fir our two families

Great service arranging our holiday and a few queries from Gail The accommodation was ideal with two bedroom on each floor , both en suite Located in the centre of the village but off the main thoroughfare suites us ideally Looking forward to returning in the Autumn

all excellent; only issue is that the doors did bang very loudly and bedroom a little cool

As above. The accommodation was excellent. The only three minor issues were: 1) key box could be better labelled; 2) the doors did bang despite our attempts - not good for those downstairs (!); and 3) the bedrooms were a little cold at night.

Thank you for a lovely review of your stay at Bakers Rest. The doors are all fire doors and have a closing mechanism on them to ensure guests safety, they can be a little noisy especially if everything else is quiet. We will get someone out to look at the radiators as the rooms should be toasty warm.

Stunning location, clean, comfortable beds, perfect for big groups

Well equipped, spacious and clean. Nice towels and good water pressure. Good directions/instructions and car parking permit is useful. A few small niggles, only one key provided and one door that slammed occasionally.

I'm sorry to hear there was only 1 key, there should have been another in the cottage for you, I trust you made use of the key box when your plans differed. We will get the door checked out, they are all self closing fire doors, it sounds like one is pulling closed quicker than needed. We hope to welcome you back again in the future.

First of all the property should be properly advertised as it was not mentioned on the first impression that these are two apartments first floor and second floor. Second floor door was so small only a child can go through it secondly in the second bedroom the extractor fan in the ensuite was not working. All the door hinges were coming off all the door handles loses and could come out. The other thing is 10 o’clock in the morning check out is it steep. It should be at least 11 o’clock overall the property was clean and tidy.

Thanks for your review and we are disappointed in your star grade. As you are aware you wrongly booked the accommodation thinking it was all ground floor. It was only when you checked with us 2 days before arrival you realised you had booked an unsuitable property for your needs, but it was too late for us to find you an alternative cottage in the height of the school holidays. We have had no other complaints from guests regarding the cottage and had you brought any of these to our attention whilst there we could have attended to rectify them.
