Renovated suite in Fernwood House. You will love this large main floor studio with its nine-foot ceilings, original moldings, built-in cabinetry and large bright windows with blackout curtains. There is a large kitchen with all appliances including dishwasher and a dining table for four. The bathroom boasts a new tub/shower, vanity and toilet. There is a cozy bed-side fireplace with an electric insert and a grand bay window that faces the tree-lined street. Curl up and read a book, watch the Smart TV or sit at the desk and work. At night enjoy the new Sealy Posturepedic king size bed. Note new carpeting in September 2022.

Great place to stay in a friendly neighbourhood. Close to parks, cafes and not too far from downtown. Very clean. Home bodies note that it is on a main road so there's a little traffic noise. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my stay in this cosy little studio

Victoria winter stay

We enjoyed our stay in the historic Fernwood district. Loys of great, interesting neighborhood walks. We could walk to the shopping mall and grocery stores. Bus service was also nearby. The studio apartment was was well equipped. The very comfortable bed was particularly appreciated. I would recommend this place to anyone needing a getaway to a lovely city in a safe, quiet neighborhood.

Great accommodations

Neil and Heidi's Studio rental was a pleasure to occupy. A well equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare meals. The king sized bed was very comfortable. An electric fireplace was a bonus. The location is idyllic. A quiet neighbourhood but close to a major bus route. Within walking distance of grocery stores, the Hillside mall, cafés and pub, etc. Neil and Heidi are great hosts. Would definitely stay here again.

stayed here for 1 month. overall great place to stay. place has everything you would need for a short term stay. very comfortable bed and great shower. This is a single unit on the main floor of a house so can be a little loud at times - just footsteps and people talking in the hallways and doors closing which may be bothersome if you like to sleep in and are a light sleeper. also there's loud music from the streets on weekend evenings but it doesn't go on too late. overall, would stay here again.

The place was very well equipped, bright warm and cheery. Only cautions are stairs if limited ability and not enough electrical outlets. We needed to borrow an extension for a cpap machine.

I came for medical reasons. Excellent place, close to medical facilities. Neighbourhood lovely for walking, dining, cafe's, markets. Place was clean, bright, nicely furnished, VERY comfortable. Very quiet from others in suites/road traffic. Situated in an area quick to downtown Victoria, beach walks, exploring various neighbourhoods./activities. Kitchen, linen closest, closets were well equipped for a long stay. Neil or Heidi were very quick to respond to any concerns or questions. Highly recommended!!!

Great location

This comfortable, clean , bright apartment is perfect for walking around the area to see the blooms. Mostly it is flat, unless you want to walk to the Fernwood Square or the Hillside mall. And those are not long walks. You can easily go downtown if you chose. The apartment is clean and has everything you might need, modern appliances in the kitchen. The only unusual aspect is entering through the bed room. Laundry is a separate area but easily accessible. Other tenants friendly , i could easily have stayed there much longer, so comfortable. The owners are not on site but easily contacted and very good to deal with.

I stayed here for a period of 6 weeks. It is a very well thought out apartment, everything you could need is already waiting for you inside. Along 2 major bus lines, so I never had an issue travelling around. Also within walking distance to many amenities. I would definitely stay again! The house was very clean and check in/out was easy. I had no issues with laundry or noise from neighbours.

Great place to stay in Victoria!

I had the opportunity to stay here for 10 weeks and was very impressed and comfortable for the duration of the stay. Very clean, Comfortable king size bed, clean kitchen with all the needed utensils, appliances and dish ware. Great location with parking on the property. More than 1 unit on the same property but I didn’t hear a sound the duration of my stay. Can’t say enough good things about my stay!

Fine little place in a real neighbourhood

After 4 months in Unit 4, we were sorry to leave. The flat - located in Fernwood, an eclectic and lively neighbourhood - is cosy, well-accessorised, and it satisfied all our urban needs. It is within walking distance from downtown Victoria and close to the Galloping Goose (for cyclists and walkers). Our only recommendation is that the laundry room undergo a facelift. We highly recommend this property.

We love spending time outdoors and travelling. Our main base is in Vancouver but we also spend time with our family in Victoria and at our home on Mayne Island. Most of our rental properties are long term but we are pleased to offer two furnished units for shorter term rentals. We are members in good standing with Landlord BC and enjoy taking good care of our tenants and our rental properties.

Why they chose this property

In 2016 we purchased the six-unit Fernwood House in Victoria so we would have a place to stay when we are on Vancouver Island. The Ferwood area has a great vibe and we love walking up to the Koffi Cafe for a coffee or to the Fernwood Inn for dinner. We renovated and furnished this unit for rentals of 3-12 months.
