This property is located in beautiful Sunset Bay community. This home features lake views from both balconies. 3 bedrooms, 3 full baths, granite countertops throughout. Double car garage. Covered boat slip included with rental. TV streaming in living room and master. Tennis Court located on the property along with secure boat storage provided by Sunset Bay Homeowners. Complete with Wifi for your streaming needs as well as a community pavilion for grilling and eating your favorite meals. Grilling Supplies not provided.

Make sure you check out the fairgrounds for their event calendar. Concerts, wine tasting festival, car shows, rodeo and much more!

Your booking includes 2 paddle boards, a 3 person canoe and 2 kayaks stored in the garage for your enjoyment and pleasure at no additional charge.
Adventures are waiting for your family in this well provisioned property.

The use of the paddle boards, canoe and kayaks are enjoyed at your own risk and a waiver must be completed before they can be used.

Swim off the end of the dock while supper is cooking or head down to Towns County Beach just 1.8 miles away. Georgia Mountain Fair Grounds is less than 2 miles from the house.

This area is known for its pristine views from hiking and biking trails along with beautiful waterfalls and foliage. Lots of mountain antique outlets for shopping and bargain hunting all over the area.

30 minutes from Alpine Helen Resort located in the Chattahoochee National Forest. Known for its picturesque scenery this resort offers shopping, tubing, miniature golf, go carts, zip lining and lots of other activities.

Great Memorial Day Weekend

This was our 3rd time staying in Sunset Bay condos and each time has been perfect. Everything we needed and then some. The (grown) kids used the paddle board and kayak and it was super convenient when we rented a pontoon from the ridges. Decor was nice and beds were comfy

Great stay in Hiawassee

The townhome is very well maintained with plenty of room and well stocked. The garage is deep enough to park 2 cars and the covered dock makes it very convenient to leave your boat on the water during your stay. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for everything.

Perfect location in Hiawassee

This place was perfect for our stay. We were in town for a wedding and this was central to most activities and even ended up being in the same complex as the other guests. Great location, easy walk down to the water, Great water toys provided. Beautifully decorated, and all amenities provided. Cyndi was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. Definitely hope to return to visit with our friends in the future!

Nice VRBO. Very comfortable and clean. Each bedroom has a bathroom! Lots of steps up to main floor and another set to bedrooms on 3rd floor. Lake view from master. It was great to have a covered boat slip. Thanks for the memorable trip!

5 Star Trip! Nice clean townhouse with dock access made our trip the best! No complaints other than our crew found out we are bit out of shape. A little bit of a hike from the dock and then the stairs but worth the climb for a awsome lake vacation!

Wonderful White Christmas

A beautiful little spot in Hiawassee! Perfectly located for convenience to Brasstown Bald Mtn, Georgia Mtn Fair Grounds, Young Harris, you name it! Grocery store is easy to get to and what a lovely spot right on Lake Chatuge. Very comfortable for a family or couples. All amenities provided and nice personal touches all throughout the home. Thank you for providing a wonderful place to stay while visiting family during the holidays!

Great location

This was our second time staying at this property. The owner responds to communication in a timely manner. This condo is in a great location in Hiawassee. The beds are comfortable. The kayaks, paddleboards and canoe are a definite plus for this rental. The deposit took three weeks to be returned.

We checked in and the unit that had not been cleaned. The cleaning lady got there at about 5:00 (check in was at 4:00) Once she came she did a good job but it started our trip off bad. The cleaning lady left at 8:00. The owner refunded me (mailed a check) for one nights stay due to the unit not being cleaned!! Per the instructions for check out we stripped the beds and put all linens from 4 beds in the laundry room along with the used towels and wash clothes. She now wants to charge me an “extra cleaning fee” for excessive laundry. How is it excessive when it’s from her beds? Do not rent from her! I’ve stayed at many places and have NEVER had this problem. The issue is that she refunded us one night due to the unit not being clean upon check in but now wants to charge us the same amount for excessive laundry. She’s just trying to recoup that first night. We even reused our towels. Stay away from here! Very unethical!

It was unfortunate the cleaning lady missed cleaning the unit on her schedule. Never missed before. When this problem was brought to my attention it was dealt with immediately and I did refund one night stay for the inconvenience. However, when this guest departed my unit it was left with 11 loads of laundry. Every towel, sheets, blankets and bed spreads were used. The kitchen took a lot to clean as there was spillage in the refrigerator that all shelves and glass had to be removed to be cleaned. This unit could not be turned around in 4 hours cleaning time to rent to my next guest. My unit allows for 6 people and this guest brought 7 into the unit. She did alert me there would be a 7th person and assured me the 7th person would not be an issue. Plain and simple the uhit was left in such a state I could not turn my unit around. It is stated in the rental agreement that if the unit is left where it can not be tuned with 4 hours of cleaning time she would be charged. 11 loads of laundry is very excessive not to mention the refrigerator and trash was left in the house as well. I was immediate with accommodating her with the unit not cleaned when she arrived. I was in no way trying to recoup my cost, which I was still in the hole by $30.00 with this rental after reimbursement of one night stay and her extra clean fee.

First, knowing that there were 17 steps to walk up before you entered the condo would have been nice to know. This made it difficult for my older mom to go in and out. Second, the view from the living room was non existent. Not as listed. Third, listing stated there were TVs in EVERY room on 2 different places on the listing. That was untrue. Only in living room and master bedroom. Not good for my older mom who watches TV constantly and couldn't. Fourth, The refrigerator made an awful noise all weekend. Messaged the owner and she called right back. Texted her the fridge label so she could research how to get it to stop and never heard back from her. Fifth, The fridge was also dirty and had old crumbs in it. Was not cleaned as it should've been. Sixth, one of the bathrooms was not cleaned. It had hair all over the shower wall and was totally disgusting. We did have a good time spending time together but the condo didn't live up to our expectations we had from the listing. I would not stay here again.

The view is exactly what is pictured from the living room windows and first floor balcony. The pictures does show the stairs in the unit and there is a description on the listing explaining stairs from garage level to main level. If you would have contacted me and asked me questions about the stairs and you alerted me you were bringing your elderly parent I would have advised my unit was not suited for elderly people with difficulty using stairs. The Refrigerator noise has been looked into by a repairman and the reason for the on and off again groan noise is a mystery to a couple different repairmen. It is in good working order. The TV providers in Hiawassee has been an ongoing forever changing environment. There is only one provider now that streams, cable is no longer available. With this it has become cost prohibited to have TV in every room. There is streaming in the living room and master bedroom. Other 2 bedrooms are available for renters to bring their own streaming stick for viewing. I have had the same exceptional cleaner for the past 8 years. I demand a very clean unit and that is the way its been for 8 years. We take every precaution and use excellent cleaning measures after every check out. I have never had any issues with my unit being cleaned to perfection. Some checkouts have been very challenging the past couple years and we have worked very hard to keep my unit up to my high standards. If there was a problem in a bathroom I should have been notified about that right away.

Owner Abuses Security Deposit

Nice location, but unpleasant, awful and nasty experience with the owner. The owner abuses the security deposit. Extremely complex checkout procedure: forgetting to dispose of anything will result in charging the deposit. I followed the checkout instructions precisely. I did two hours of cleaning before I left the property, proud. Yet, the owner sent me an insulting ugly message : "Trash and liquor bottles left inside the house. Kitchen left in a greasy nasty mess. Cleaning staff charged extra to clean the mess up left behind." I have my own rental property elsewhere and never treat my guests like this - its sad. The apartment was very poorly stocked and they were stingy with cleaning supplies. There are no sponges to wash the dishes. For a 5 night stay, they left two dishwashing detergent tablets. I had to wash the dishes by hand without sponges using small pieces of clothing. Despite this inconvenience, I did my best to clean everything. One of the guests may have left a bottle of whiskey. The owner seems to want to use that to suggest that there was a lot of drinking going on - which there was not. If the owner doesn't want any alcohol on their premises, they have the option to make that a rule, but this would result in fewer renters. During our stay, the owner took 3 days to respond to a question I asked about the safety waiver, wasting our time. See previous negative reviews which confirm the deposit abuse, a very loud refrigerator, TVs not working, etc. Stay away!

Unfortunately the check out procedures were not followed. Starting a load of laundry and starting the dishwasher and stripping beds and taking all trash to the dumpster that is located on the property are normal procedures anywhere I have rented through the years. The washer was overloaded with bedspreads and quit running. Making a mess of water. The state the kitchen and the rest of the rooms and floors were left resulted in Extra charges to me from cleaning staff. Water damage on living room ceiling from upstairs bath. The cleaning staff I have makes sure the unit is cleaned and disinfected to the highest of quality before renters arrive. The unit is more than adequately supplied with all soaps and dish cloths, paper towels, toilet paper, linens, coffee pods and etc. for a 3 day weekend. Anything beyond that the renter is responsible for. The TV’s are on streaming. I was not aware they were not working. Great lengths are always made to make sure renters enjoy their stay and enjoy the amenities that are provided for renters inside the house and the many water vessels provided in the garage to enjoy at no extra charge.
