"Casa Virgilio in Monti" in Rome is located on the ground floor of a building of the '700 in the Monti district, one of the most characteristic of the capital between the Fori Imperiali, the Colosseum (8' walk) and Santa Maria Maggiore (4 ' on foot).
Very well served by public transport: underground station (line B, Cavour stop), near the Termini station and then the arrival of the Leonardo Express train to / from Fiumicino Airport, and buses to Ciampino Airport. In the area, at a distance of 5 minutes walk, there are 4 supermarkets, restaurants, taverns, pizzerias, bars, wine bars, clubs, pastry shops.
"Casa Virgilio in Monti" is composed of two double suites (you can also book separately). They have an independent and intercommunicating access through an internal door. The price is for the whole apartment that can comfortably accommodate 4 people, wanting a fifth on the sofa of one of the suites. It is also suitable for 2 adults and 2 boys / children turning one of the 2 double beds into 2 single beds.
The first suite, "I fiori", is composed of a bedroom (double bed or two singles), private bathroom, living / veranda with kitchenette (fridge, induction plates, oven, dishwasher), real internal garden overlooking a very quiet private flowery courtyard. The second one, "Il Gallo Rosso", consists of an alcove with a French double bed, a living room, a private bathroom and a kitchenette (induction plates, microwave oven, fridge, washing machine).
The price is for the entire structure. For the rental of a single suite, we refer you to the Casa Virgilio1 apartment in Monti and Casa Virgilio2 apartment in Monti.
The two suites have air conditioning, heating, TV, WiFi internet, minibar, coffee machine, kettle for hot water, all to ensure a truly relaxing and peaceful stay. A welcome drink will be offered to you on your arrival.

The apartment was amazing! Well located to all the sites in the center of Rome. Jean-Louis was the perfect host, checking to make sure we had everything we needed. From the welcome basket and breakfast goodies, to so many little details Jean-Louis thought of everything. I hope to return some day to stay again.

Beautiful, spacious, clean apartment in a great location. Easy access to Metro and major attractions. Kitchen stocked with coffee, water, snacks etc. Layout is great for families or couples with two separate bedrooms and bathrooms. Beds are comfortable and apartment is nicely furnished with sofa, dining table, luggage stands and REAL art! Host was attentive and welcoming. One of the best apartments we have ever rented.

Apartment Virgilio in Monti is a true oasis of tranquility in the center of Rome. The location couldn’t be better — tucked away on a quiet street yet just steps from all the vibrant history, cafes, and sights the city has to offer.Our host, Jean-Louis, was absolutely amazing. He warmly welcomed us after an overnight flight and had thoughtful breakfast treats and fresh coffee waiting, which was such a kind and appreciated touch.The apartment itself is spotless, comfortable, and very quiet — a rare find in such a central location. It truly felt like a peaceful retreat to return to after exploring the city.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Rome.

Nice stay in Rome

Overall, this was a very nice stay. Jean-Louis was very communicative in the stay and the check-in process was easy, meeting a friend of Jean-Louis who let us in and showed us the apartment. They had left a bottle of wine with some snacks at check-in, which was very thoughtful. The apartment had air conditioning, which was welcome with the heat in Rome in August. The location was great with a short walk (10 minutes) to the Coliseum and close access to the Metro. Overall, a very nice stay.

Great location in Rome

Wonderful stay in Monti neighbourhood. The house was clean and spacious. Some snacks and a bottle of wine was left for us - a perfect experience. Close to the Metro, so easy access to all of Rome. Highly recommend.

We had a very nice stay. The location is perfect for seeing all of Rome. 12 minute walk to the Termini train station and a 7 minute walk to the metro blue line. Jean Louis was very helpful with anything we needed and was a fantastic host. The apartment had very comfortable beds and all the amenities we needed. The food, coffee, and drink selection available when we arrived was very much appreciated. The AC worked very well in every room but even without it the apartment stayed quite cool. Would definitely stay again.

Great location and Great Hosts.

Had a really good stay here. This is an excellent location within walking distance to all the main attractions. Only had to use taxis a couple times and down loaded the app FREENOW. Would definitely recommend this property and if back in Rome stay here again.

Great location!

We were greeted with plenty of breakfast food, coffee, and numerous things in the fridge! That was very much appreciated. Plenty of space and beds were comfortable. The host was very accommodating by letting us check in early and setting up a taxi to the airport.

Great Location!

Great Location that allowed us to walk to multiple historical sites and the train station. Jean-Louis was very accommodating and allowed us early access to leave our luggage. He left some breakfast items and snacks for us. He lives at the property so expect a friendly hello if you cross paths. House set up is unique but as a family we didn’t have a problem with it (you walk through each bedroom to leave the flat or get to the bigger kitchen). I do recommend this place.

Great Place in Rome

We spent 4 nights and could not have been happier with the accommodations. The host was helpful, even getting up on our last day to see us off. The apartment was comfortable and the host included snacks, wine and coffee. It made the stay that much easier as we did not need to shop immediately. They had a nice list of places to eat near by which was helpful. I would highly recomend!
