About this property
Architect designed Eco House in small village on the Wye Valley Walk.
This has to be a perfectly located house – and very beautiful as well. In a quiet village enclave, close to a shop, and a short walk to local pub, Y Golau is also within a short drive to Hay on Wye the famous book town also the Brecon Beacons and The Black Mountains. The River Wye goes through the village, with the Wye Valley Walk following its course – a bonus for dog-owners, but lovely for all. With its expanse of westward-facing glazed frontage, the house has been designed to enjoy the best of the sunshine, when available, but is bright and light even when the sun doesn’t appear.
Detached 3 bedrooms, 2 doubles and a twin. Doubles en-suite. Open plan downstairs with log burner. House owned by art dealers so loads of art on display and to purchase if you wish. Lots of sofas to curl up on in the winter months after a day walking in the hills. Perfect for family get togethers, walkers, dog owners and anyone who just wants to take a cool break from the rat race.
The house is also about 300 yards from The Rectory Fishery. Day permits for Salmon, Trout and Coarse Fishing available via The Wye And Usk Foundation Web Site

We live in the village an online art gallery, selling art all round the world. Love walking in the hills with our Springer Spaniels. Perfect!
Why they chose this property
We lived here for 15 years and have just built ourselves a new house just up the road in the same village. Lovely place to live wouldn't be anywhere else, so pretty all year round and everyone so friendly.
