Tastefully and stylishly furnished, this rural barn is an ideal retreat for enjoying this delightful area. As its name suggests, Swallows’ Nest is home to a family of swallows and guests can wake up to their delightful birdsong and playful interaction. Outside there are two patio areas with garden furniture, one at the front and one at the rear of the property, to take advantage of the morning sunrise or evening sun. A short drive takes you to Lulworth Cove with its pebble beach and perhaps take a walk up and over the hill to famous Durdle Door. The whole of this area has lovely scenery and coastal walks. There are numerous attractions, ranging from the Bovington Tank Museum, Monkey World, Weymouth Sea Life Park and Butterfly Farm and Abbotsbury Swannery and Subtropical Gardens. The seaside town of Swanage with its golden sandy beach and Durlston Country Park and Steam Railway are well worth a visit. The historic market towns of Dorchester and Wareham are nearby, as well as the pretty National Trust’s Corfe Castle, Blue Pool, Brownsea Island and Arne RSPB Nature Reserve. Beach 5 miles. Shop ¾ mile, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
