I actually stayed in Butternut Cottage as the owner of both called to say that Butternut would be better in the winter as it had better heating. In light of this and the fact that the cottages were very close, I was happy to change. Butternut turned out to be very nice with excellent heating and a very welcome bath after a long day walking. The bed was comfy as was the rest of the house and I had an enjoyable stay.
