Lucca is a town of Ligurian -Etruscan origins, enclosed by a circle by 16 th century walls, with its palaces, many churches ( S.Martin Chathedral, San Michele, San Frediano etc..) the Amphitheatre square, medioeval towers such as 'Guinigi Tower' and 'The clock Tower' and gardens, makes up a small enchanted world. From the tree topped 'Tower of Palazzo Guinigi ' you can enjoy a splendid view of the town, with its red rooftops, its campaniles and the surrounding countryside which extends out into the distance to catch a view of the majestic profile of the Apuan Alps.
