We had a wonderful holiday staying in this really lovely gite. Very rural and quiet location, but close enough to great places to visit by car like Chartres and Orlèans. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming on arrival, but also gave us complete privacy during our stay. The gite itself ,while being completely authentic with wooden beams and creaky floorboards, also had great amenities like 2 bathrooms, and very good broadband/Wi-Fi. I would definitely recommend this gite to anyone considering booking, and we hope to be lucky enough to return ourselves one day. Colin.

A taste of rural France

This was our first family trip to France and it did not disappoint. Nathalie and Eric were great hosts, very welcoming and there when we needed them. Accommodation: this exceeded our expectations from the photos online. Everything we needed, but if being super picky a full length mirror in one of the bedrooms would be useful. The outside space was amazing with use of bikes included (Eric kindly raising the handlebars within an hour of us asking - nothing too much trouble :-) We loved having table tennis in one the outbuildings and family match ups were a daily occurrence. Area: a rural setting which is what were after. Peaceful and quiet. Nearest supermarket (Le,Clerc) approx 11km (Angerville) where you can get everything you’ll need. This booking gave us a lovely insight into rural French life.

Week-end farniente, dépaysant et reposant dans un cadre verdoyant

Magnifique lieu où nous avons passé un week-end farniente en famille très agréable. Nous avons été accueilli très chaleureusement malgré les gestes barrières en vigueur ! Le jardin est splendide et c’était un ravissement de constater l’avancée du printemps sur les différentes espèces d’arbres présentes (cerisier, noisetier, noyer, prunier...) Beaucoup de jolies découvertes à faire rien que dans cet espace (sphinx colibri, nids d’hirondelles, chèvrefeuille odorant...) Les enfants ont beaucoup profité du portique, les plus grands aimeront la table de tennis de table, les chaises longues. L’étagère de jeux destinée aux enfants et aux informations diverses à été aussi appréciée. La maison est bien agréable et confortable pour un séjour plus long. Nous ne cherchions pas particulièrement à faire de sorties (période de déconfinement peu propice aux nombreuses sorties) mais la visite du moulin de Ouarville à beaucoup plu à tous. Nous envisageons d’y retourner l’an prochain pour une visite peut-être de Chartres ou pour profiter des parcours proposés par les propriétaires ! Dépaysant donc malgré la proximité de notre domicile !

Propriété de charme

Wow, a beautiful rural cottage!

We have just returned from a holiday here and it was an absolutely beautiful property! Loads of space for he children to play, big comfortable rooms, a gorgeous garden with a table tennis table and a swing/seesaw! We loved it here, great for cycling locally as it is pretty flat ;-) Paris is an hours drive away and places like Chartres and Orléans are also close enough for a day trip! We also took the bikes to a forested area about 40 minutes away and could clef the woods and had a picnic! The host was wonderful, we arrived to a chocolate brownie and strawberries, and she was so very helpful and easy to contact if needed! WiFi available here too! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to others! Great price, great property! Thank you so much!

Stijlvol huisje met een prachtige tuin

We werden ontvangen met een zelfgemaakte chocoladecake, dus de start was al goed! Het huis was schoon, gezellig en voorzien van alle gemakken. We hadden mooi weer en we konden dus lekker genieten van de tuin en de spellen die er waren: tafeltennistafel, Mölkky, badmintonrackets ed. Als we al een minpuntje moeten bedenken is dat de waterdruk in de badkamers en de wisselende temperatuur van het water. We hebben met 6 volwassenen een heerlijke week gehad en komen graag nog een keer terug!

Gite très attachant. On s'y sent vite chez soi. Excellent accueil des propriétaires sympathiques et discrets.Toute génération peut trouver son compte dans le gite. Le jardin clos de murs inspire à la quiétude ou au repos après des parties endiablées de ping pong. Petite oasis de quiétude au milieu de l'immensité des plaines céréalières. Idéalement situé pour voir ou revoir Paris, Chartres, les premiers chateaux de la loire ou des curiosités méconnues plus proches.

Schönes Haus und sehr nette Vermieter / Belle maison et propriétaires très sympathiques

Très belle ferme rénovée avec beaucoup d'amour avec un très grand jardin. Il y a beaucoup d'espace autour de la maison, et des grands arbres anciens fournissent de l'ombre lorsque le soleil brûle. L'ameublement et l'équipement sont complets, même les jeux pour enfants et une table de ping-pong dans le jardin ne manquent pas. La maison est bien entretenue et propre. Cependant, il est situé dans un endroit très calme, une voiture est nécessaire. Paris est à environ 1h30 en voiture et RER, Chartres est à environ 45 minutes. Pour les familles, il y a de nombreuses activités comme des lacs, le canoë-kayak, l'accrobranche ou une piste de luge à une distance d'environ 1 heure en voiture. Les propriétaires sont très gentils et prennent soin de leurs hôtes. Nous avons été accueillis avec de la crème glacée maison et de la confiture. Pendant le séjour, il y a eu un contact régulier et agréable, nous n'avons pas seulement reçu des conseils pour les excursions..... Pourtant, nos propriétaires n'ont jamais été insistants. La transaction commerciale s'est déroulée sans problème, au départ, nous avons reçu le dépôt en espèces immédiatement après une courte inspection. Nous vous recommandons vivement cet hébergement! ****** Sehr schönes, liebevoll renoviertes Bauernhaus mit einem sehr großen Garten. Man hat viel Platz um das Haus, und große, alte Bäume spenden Schatten, wenn die Sonne brennt. Einrichtung und Ausstattung sind vollständig, selbst Spiele für Kinder und eine Tischtennisplatte im Garten fehlen nicht. Das Haus ist gepflegt und sauber. Es liegt jedoch in einer sehr ruhigen Gegend, ein Auto ist notwendig. Nach Paris sind es etwa 1,5 Stunden mit Auto und RER, Chartres ist ca. 45 Minuten entfernt. Für Familien gibt es zahlreiche Aktivitäten wie Badeseen, Kanufahren, Kletterwald oder (Sommer-)Rodelbahn in einer Entfernung von ca. 1 Stunde Autofahrt. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und kümmern sich um ihre Gäste. Wir wurden mit selbst gemachten Erdbeereis und Marmelade empfangen. Während des Aufenthaltes ergab sich ein netter regelmäßiger Kontakt, wir erhielten nicht nur Ausflugstipps... Trotzdem waren unsere Vermieter nie aufdringlich. Die geschäftliche Abwicklung war absolut problemlos, bei der Abreise erhielten wir nach einem kurzen Kontrollgang die Kaution sofort in bar ausbezahlt. Wir können diese Unterkunft sehr empfehlen!

Très agréable séjour en famille

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour en famille avec nos trois enfants (4 à 8 ans). L'endroit est bien calme (trop isolé diront certains), le jardin est grand et les jeux (table de ping-pong, quilles, boules de pétanque, ballon, balançoire) permettent aux enfants de s'amuser en toute sécurité. Le gîte est spacieux et bien décoré. Seul le matériel de cuisine est un peu limité, mais là n'est pas l'essentiel. Les propriétaires/voisins sont très gentils et avaient préparé un petit cadeau de bienvenue. Nous recommandons cette location pour une famille avec enfants désireuse de visiter une très belle région (beaucoup de magnifiques châteaux) située non loin de Paris (nous avons pris le train, environ 50 minutes depuis Angerville), de Versailles, de Chartre et Orléans avec leurs cathédrales, et à environ une heure en voiture des premiers châteaux de la Loire.

Everything one might want from a rural Loire Valley stay.

Quiet. Pretty. Rustic, yet well appointed. Lovely hosts. We were welcomed with cake and fresh garden picked strawberries. Close to Chartres and Etampes. Just what we needed.

Wonderful stay in Ardelu

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the gite in Ardelu. Thank you for your hospitality. It house was very well equipped, it was clean and it was a nicely decorated. We appreciated the welcome plate with homemade muffins and jams. Everything was excellent and we enjoyed our stay very much.

QUEL GITE MERVEILLEUX

Les propriétaires font tout pour nous être agréable, ils sont vraiment aux petits soins avec leurs clients. Le gite par lui - même et d'une propreté irréprochable et très bien entretenu. Que dire de plus n'ayez aucune hésitation venez venez vous en serez enchantée. Nous ça fait déjà la sixième fois que nous venons, et nous avons déjà bloqué une semaine pour 2018. Martine et Jacques

Maison impeccable - Très bonnes vacances

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au Gîte de la Tuilerie. Accueil très agréable (gâteau et confiture à l'arrivée avec de nombreuses indications sur les lieux à visiter dans les villes alentours). Les enfants ont particulièrement apprécié le terrain et la balançoire. Je recommande pour passer quelques jours en famille au calme !
