Fantastic holiday

We had a fantastic holiday in Banzao, Corales. One of the best holidays we have had as a family . We were so happy in Francisco’s fantastic house. The house really fit our needs, and the added bonus of the pool and beautiful trees made it even better. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I hope we will be back!

Amazing property and fantastic area

We had a fantastic stay. The house was so well equipped, with everything you could need. The kids loved the pool and playing table tennis. The property was a short walk to Praia das Maçãs beach (about 30 minutes with small children) with a great beach and lots of places to eat. Would highly recommend this property, not only a grwat property in a beautiful area but host, Fransico, responding in timely way to any queries. Thank you for a fantastic stay.

Lovely area but the house is tired

A group of 10, x2 families stayed with children from 7-12. The property is a good size and set in a very peaceful woodland area. Unfortunately the building is very tired and could benefit from some updating. The biggest issue for all adults (from 36 years - 73 years of age), was the uncomfortableness of the beds. We dreaded going to bed and would have to take a paracetamol to help us sleep, they really need replacing! The drains are also quite smelly but that is likely for more properties near Sintra. The host communicated really well and the location is ideal next to the mountains and 10 minutes to beaches so it was a shame the comfort of the house let’s this property down.The pool was also dirty for the first few days as it had not been cleaned and the filter was broken. As it was old, the children did not want to play in it so that wasn’t worth booking for.

Enjoyable but a disappointing start

We enjoyed the property with the large pool and garden. The house is rather dated but was pleasant and the kitchen well equipped. The reason for the low ratings is that on arrival we found the house to be very damp smelling. The kitchen equipment all needed cleaning as did the garden furniture. The bbq was filthy as was the pool. We had no arrival instructions. Francisco was helpful but very slow in responding. It would have helped enormously to have written instructions not having to endlessly ask questions. The house felt like we were the first people of the season arriving although it was August. Once the pool was cleaned and we had cleaned all the crockery, cutlery and garden furniture we began to enjoy our holiday. A few things to note. The second bunk ladder is broken and we found this outside, the towels definitely need replacing. No swimming towels were provided but we found these in various cupboards. Please don’t get me wrong. We had a good holiday but were very frustrated with simple things that could have been improved.

Lovely week in a beautiful area!

We recently spent a week here (2 families of 4 with children aged 10-13) & had a lovely time overall.The house is in a stunning location, is clean & well equipped, close to the village & amenities. Pine trees provide shade & the pool & table tennis were very well used.A few things to note: we received no check in info & wrongly assumed we would be met at 4pm; this was not the case & we were not able to easily contact Francisco. He called us back at 6:08pm to tell know where the keys were.He apologised as he mistakenly thought he had told us (our mistake in not checking but equally someone should be able to take a call when new guests check in).An important point to note is that the property is not wheelchair accessible as stated. One of our family members is disabled & whilst not a wheelchair user, a walk-in shower is preferred. The walk in shower door in this house is incredibly difficult to open even for someone with no disability. The door gets stuck on the floor and can only open around 30-40cm at a push. The bidet would also obstruct getting a wheelchair in.There are also steps down into the living area.The pool is big & clean but the floor is damaged in places with sharp edges.It would be helpful to have an info file saying when to expect the pool cleaner & which light switches operate which lights - it was a puzzle! The bunkbed room needs new linen & pillows.On our last day the cleaners arrived at 9:45am despite checkout being 11am. But we did have a really great week!

Très belle villa et piscine au milieu des arbres

Très belle villa au calme dans un environnement très arboré, à 5mn en voiture des 1eres plages et supermarché à proximité Arrivée simplifiée par une grande réactivité de Francisco le propriétaire.La maison est très bien équipée en vaisselle en tout genre, il manque juste quelques verres à vin et mugs qui ont certainement été cassés au fil des locations. La literie est confortable, la maison est très spacieuse, nous étions 10, il y a 3 salles de bain et toilettes. La wifi n’est pas de très bonne qualité du fait de la situation géographique certainement, au milieu des arbres. La piscine est immense, le liner mériterait d’être changé. Il y a de nombreux transat Je recommande cette location sans hésitation, le site est magnifique.

Tolles Großes Haus im Pinienwald

Wir waren vier Wochen zu zwölft (Alter: 7 bis 70 Jahre) in dem tollen Haus von Francisco. Die Lage ist ganz fantastisch mitten in einem Pinienwald. Es duftet herrlich. Der Pool ist riesig – wir hatten alle viel Spaß damit. Zum nächsten Strand kann man auch laufen, circa 30 Minuten. In der Umgebung gibt es viel zu unternehmen… Und es gibt ohne Ende tolle Strände zu erkunden. Ein Surfer Paradies. Es wird garantiert nicht langweilig. Wir hatten zweimal kleinere Probleme mit dem Haus – die Kommunikation mit Francisco war super schnell und gut und die Probleme wurden sofort behoben. Dankeschön für den tollen Aufenthalt!

Uma estadia espetacular desde o início ao fim.

Agréable maison au charme rustique

Nous avons passé un bon séjour. La maison est confortable et vraiment vaste. Les équipements ménagers sont un peu vetustes mais en état de marche. La piscine est vaste et située dans un grand jardin. Beaucoup de beaux villages à visiter dans les alentours et des plages de surf. Il y a semble t il un micro climat dans cette très jolie région. Les températures sont de 4/5 degrés inférieures à celles de Lisbonne ce qui peut parfois être un atout... À noter qu il faut quand même 45 min en voiture pour rejoindre le centre de Lisbonne

Było super choć pogoda nie specjalnie rozpieszczała, fajne miejsce wypadowe na wycieczki i na okoliczne plaże, a przy tym spokój i cudowny zapach roślinności. Sprzęty trochę zużyte można by pomyśleć o wymianie . ale ogólnie ok.

Hallo Wir waren für 14 Tage dort und hatten eine gute Zeit. Das Haus entspricht der Beschreibung. Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Kanne der Kaffeemaschine war leicht undicht, konnte aber benutzt werden. Einmal pro Woche kommt jemand den Pool kontrollieren und reinigen. Bettwäsche und Handtücher wurden ebenfalls nach einer Woche getauscht. Betten sind sehr hart. Zum Strand läuft man ca 20-25 Minuten. Zum Supermarkt Atlantico ebenfalls. Ist gut ausgestattet inclusive Metzger. Der Imbiss nebenan an ist sehr empfehlenswert. Essen kann man auch mitnehmen. Möchte man andere Strände besuchen ist ein Auto von Vorteil. Wir haben meist ein Taxi gerufen. War nicht immer ganz einfach je nach Auslastung des Taxi Unternehmens. Sind aber immer weg gekommen. Sintra und Lissabon geht sehr gut mit Bus und Bahn. Später haben wir einen privaten Tourguide gebucht. Empfehle Hugo Martins. Er Hat einen Minivan für 8-9 Personen. Sehr ehrlich, zuverlässig und hat Spaß an seinem Job. Telefon +351 918688213. Unser Vermieter war auch stets hilfsbereit.

Beautiful house in a quite forest

This is a large, spacious house well suited for a family or for a group of friends. A really private and quiet place.The interior is lovely and the kitchen is equipped for cooking for many persons. The garden is huge, there is a lovely pool we used every day. Our teenagers played football and there is a table for ping-pong, which was in almost continual use. The gorgeous beach Praia da Maca is only a 15 min walk away, and there is a supermarked in Colares, a 3 minute drive with the car. I absolutely recommend to bring a car! There endless possibilties for excursions nearby, here are some of the things we did: sightseeing at the castles of Sintra, rock climbing in Sintra, swimming and eating out in Cascais, visiting Lisbon Zoo and the aquarium, shopping at Colombo shopping center, excursion to Cabo da Roca and Praia da Ursa, walking on the beaches and cliffs nearby. The beaches in this area are spectacular! Mr. Uva, the proprietor, is very friendly and helpful and always answers the phone or messages immediately. I can really recommend vacation in those beautiful surroundings!

Nice and spacious house in the woods of the Sintra-Colares National Parc...

Good house for a two weeks vacation with a bigger family. Room for 6 adults and 4 kids. Several castles, restaurants, palaces and beautiful beaches within driving distance (10 - 20 min.) Ocean a bit chilly, but close to lisbon (40 min.). Car or scooter needed. Kitchen and electronical devices could be renewed in the time to come. 4 baths with solid quality. Easy and supportive communication with the landlord. "Gerne wieder einmal!"

FANTASTICA CASA PARA EL RELAX

Estuvimos en la casa la última semana de agosto. Dos parejas con 5 jóvenes, 9 personas en total. La casa es muy cómoda. Diseñada para disfrutar con muchos detalles. Muy agradable la zona de desayuno orientada para recibir los primeros rayos de sol. La piscina estupenda. Una medida perfecta para nadar y disfrutar. La mesa redonda permite unas charlas estupendas en las cenas. La casa estaba muy limpia y se encuentra en un terreno con un pinar increible. Únicamente se escucha cantar a los pájaros. Muy conveniente para pasar el rato la mesa de ping pong y la cama elástica. Para desplazarse a la playa más cercana, aunque se puede ir andando, es conveniente el coche. Para todo lo demás el coche es absolutamente necesario. También obligatorio un buen GPS para ubicarla. El propietario muy amable y siempre ha respondido inmediatamente a las cuestiones que le hemos planteado. Si deseas una casa para conocer la zona, plena de relax y comodidad, esta es la que estás buscando.

Férias em Família muito agradáveis

Passámos uma ótima semana em família nesta casa, juntando filhos e netos. Grande espaço exterior cuidado com bom relvado, piscina limpa, apoiado por boas cadeiras que permitiam desfrutar com tranquilidade o sol e toda a natureza envolvente. O jardim tem ainda uma zona de alpendre com uma mesa de ping-pong equipada que permitiu realizar vários campeonatos familiares da modalidade. Foi também muito apreciada a cama elástica. A casa é espaçosa, equipada com o essencial, muito embora para a sua plena ocupação necessite de uma cozinha melhor apetrechada e de alguma renovação de equipamento e de sofá da sala. O nível de limpeza poderá ser melhorado. Simpatia e boa relação com o proprietário.

Maison très agréable

La maison est agréable, très propre et très bien équipée (cependant certains éléments électroménagers sont un peu vieux, mais fonctionnent correctement). En revanche, le tout petit barbecue va bientôt rendre l'âme, il faudrait le remplacer par un plus grand car il est trop petit pour la capacité de la maison. Elle dispose de lieux de vie très spacieux, c'est idéal si vous venez à 2 familles. Le canapé et les tapis sont cependant élimés. La literie est impeccable, les lits bien douillets. Il y a 5 vraies chambres : En rez de chaussée : 2 chambres avec un lit double chacune, 1 chambre avec 2 lits superposés (soit 4 couchages) et un lit bébé en très bon état. A l'étage, 1 chambre avec 2 lits simples et 1 chambres avec 2 lits simples pouvant être collés et 1 lit pour très jeune bébé (les rebords sont trop bas si bébé sait s'asseoir). Un jardinier et un piscinier viennent une fois par semaine. Une femme de ménage vient changer les draps et les serviettes de bain le vendredi si vous restez plusieurs semaines. La piscine est très grande, mais elle n'est ni chauffée, ni couverte par une bâche pour la nuit, du coup l'eau reste relativement froide. Le lieu est magnifique, la maison est située au cœur d'un beau jardin et d'une immense pinède. Les échanges avec le propriétaire sont très agréables. Il est à disposition pour toutes nos questions. Colares est située sur la pointe la plus occidentale du Portugal, très ventée, et il fait froid dehors le soir (la maison reste très agréable).
