Mountainside homes is a small, family-owned business offering two luxury vacation homes in beautiful steamboat springs. By owning the properties we manage and by keeping our business small, we are able to maintain the homes in first-class condition and give you the attention and service you deserve. The accommodations are both elegant and spacious. When joined by the connecting door on the middle floor the homes give you over 7000 square fee of space and can easily sleep 26 people in 8 bedrooms, plus 2 dens and 2 lofts. Or if your group is smaller each 3500 square-foot residence sleeps 8-13 comfortably. We feature two decors: american lifestyles in the couloir home and lodge style in the chaparral home. Enjoy breathtaking views from the decks or hot tub, providing a memorable backdrop to your ski or summer vacation.

All four bedrooms are sizeable and have their own bath, providing plenty of space for comfort and privacy. Make yourself at home next to a cozy fire in the great room - the perfect setting for relaxing or entertaining. The kitchens are luxurious and fully equipped.

Whether you're planning a ski vacation business retreat or annual family reunion, these spacious homes will ensure that everyone in your group enjoys the time together.

Perfect for Family

This property was everything we needed and more. Our family of 22 loved that we could all be together in one house with beds for every person. Mark, the owner, was so helpful and accommodating. We hope to stay again in the future!

Group ski trip

Had a group of 24 stay here for a week in March for a ski trip. Everything was just as advertised. We were thrilled with the short walk to the slopes where you can ski down a couple hundred yards to the lift. Hot tubs were cleaned promptly by the staff when they got dirty. Kitchens were stocked with plenty of utensils. Everything was clean and organized. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. Would recommend this place to anyone!

Terrific reunion site

Superbly equipped kitchens, immaculate bathrooms, roomy bedrooms, stunning views! What’s not to like? Hike up the mountain, minutes from downtown. Plenty of common space. We were 19 people for five nights, and we enjoyed every minute.

Family Ski Trip. 4 families with 9 kids ages 9-18. Lots of space for everyone to spread out. Owner was easy to communicate with and helpful. Would recommend.

Truly the best

I kind of don't want to review this house because I want to keep it all for myself! It is thE BEST. Huge, comfortable, full of anything and everything you could possibly need for a mountain getaway, and perfectly located near the ski hill. The owner and manager are amazing. We couldn't have asked for anything more from our trip and felt very lucky to stay in such a special place.

Huge house in a fantastic location - a wonderful ski getaway

We rented both sides of this house, for a total of 8 bedrooms. The 2 houses were seamlessly connected in the middle floor, and we loved having so much space (2 living rooms, 2 kitchens, 2 hot tubs) for our large group. In addition to the 8 bedrooms advertised, each side of the house has an additional sitting room with a trundle bed, and a loft above the kitchen was a great place to use for an office. There was a ton of room for everyone, and the house was beautifully decorated. The kitchens were well-equipped with everything we needed (spices, utensils, pots/pans, tupperware, tin foil, etc). It was a short walk down the hill to the slopes, and you access the slope right at the first "stop" on the Christie chair lift, so you can take a very quick easy green run to get to the base village (where you have access to the Steamboat Gondola, Wild Blue Gondola, and Christie's chair lift). Walking home after a day of skiing with ski boots was a bit tough for the young kids as it is uphill, but its such a short walk. Its easy for adults, and our children aged 6- 10 were all able to do the walk with minimal complaints. Finally, the house manager was super responsive and accommodating. We had a wonderful stay here, and would absolutely stay here again without hesitation.

Amazing week with family!

We just got back from a fantastic trip to Steamboat where we stayed at this extremely accommodating property. Situated on the mountain, we were walking distance to trails perfect for hiking, trail running, or mountain biking. The house also has huge windows with beautiful views of the valley. Our kids loved watching the hot air balloon every morning, and also saw a mama bear and her cub out early in the morning one day. There was plenty of space for 5 families across the 2 residences with 2 hot tubs and a door that connected both sides on the middle floor. The one thing that was a bit of a set back for some people on the trip is that the house gets quite warm and takes a while to cool down at night. There is one air conditioner on the main floor of each side, which was great for hanging out during the day, but there was a lot of talk of lost sleep due to warm bedrooms at night. That being said we were there when it was 90+ during the day in June, so the fans (many supplied) and open windows at night did not cut it. Overall though we would definitely return!

Our family of 21 had plenty of room using both sides of this rental. We were pleased to find the kitchen well-stocked, and paper towels, tp, laundry soap and dishwasher tabs there ready for use. We were close to stores and activities in the area. Mark, Jessica, and Edward were responsive to our needs. We enjoyed our stay!

Great family site in Steamboat Springs

Wonderful place for a family reunion. Host has thought of everything! We rented both sides of this very large duplex. A door connects both sides so we freely moved from one side to the other. Close to downtown, the slopes, the river, great hikes. We had 6 couples and 5 children. Everyone had their own space. We had our best family reunion ever!

Impressive property in a superb location

This is an amazing property. Our party included 18 family members from infants to adults. The property is spacious and very well maintained. It is located in a prime location with outstanding views. Our hosts were helpful, friendly and professional.

Great Week with Family

The property was amazing. The kitchens were fully equipped with everything that you needed to cook and to make cocktails or just have a glass of wine. The rooms were spacious (plenty of bathrooms) and the views were unbelievable! Our entire family loved the homes and location. The owner called to make sure we had everything that we needed. Would stay again if we come back to Steamboat Springs.

Great Stay

More than enough room for 13 of us. Every couple had private bedroom and bathroom with extras to spare. Easy couple minute walk to the slopes. Jessica and the other folks taking care of the place were around several times to clean up, fix the fireplace, etc. Would come back 100%
