Our stay was great from start to finish. The listing was clean and cozy, the host was attentive and kind. Waking up to the ocean view each day made the trip even more special.
The scenery was absolutely beautiful, my husband I liked that is was quiet. The cell service wasn’t greatest at the location and internet was choppy but with the few and perfect space for just us two it made for an amazing place to stay.
Peaceful setting. Unit smaller and older than expected. Linens and kitchen amenities of good quality. Very well supplied with paper towels, Kleenex, toiletries. Host open to being contacted and lives close by.
Cozy, comfortable spot with a beautiful view. Dont expect to have access to the water from the home. You’ll have to drive to a beach. But driving to different beaches is most of the fun! The two beds are nice, but the pullout bed is rock hard, I slept on the couch instead. So, I’d say it sleeps 5. Overall, a nice quiet place!
Paul was on top of communication and we were surprised by how much better the views are in person! It was just my wife and I staying in the 2 bedroom unit. We think it would be a nice setup for a family with kids, but kind of odd for two couples. We moved from this VRBO to another midway through the trip and are very sad we left. Our next VRBO was middling compared to this even though the reviews were so good and its on the beach. This place is a steal if you're visiting St Thomas!
This rental offered great, private views. Very quiet location off the beaten path. Was perfect for two couples to stay in. The host was easy to communicate with and very helpful with questions I had. My only complaint is it can be hard to find. We lost GPS and cell service close to the rental which made it very hard to find. Make sure to have the directions listed by the host saved before traveling to the rental. It is hard to turn around in the are close to the house because of the steep driveways surrounding the rental. Easy check out process.
The place was amazing! Paul and his family were gracious and welcoming hosts.
This property was wonderful. The unit was spacious and well stocked with linens, towels, and kitchen amenities. Views from the unit's private, massive porch were breath-taking. It's central location made getting to beaches, restaurants, and shopping around the island a breeze. Paul and his wife responded quickly to all of our questions regarding recommendations. There was snorkeling gear, small beach chairs, and coolers for us to use while on the island. We opted out of staying right on the beach and are so happy we did! The place was so quiet. No loud, rowdy neighbors. I could not have asked for a more perfect place! We are already planning our next trip to Villa De La Vista!

Thanks for the kind words Jenny. Hope to see you and your crew again soon.
This property is great. The view is breathtaking and it is. The property is private and safe. The owner Paul is very helpful, and prompt to return calls or emails, but other than that, leaves you be. The property was a little bit hard to find, but again, Paul being the helpful fellow he is, came to meet us on the main road to guide us in. This property has everything we needed, however the split in one of the bedrooms / living room I didn't blow very cold air. Might be a problem if staying during summer months. Other than that, no complaints.

Emmy,
Thank you for the kind words and feedback.
Hope to see you guys again this summer - we plan to upgrade the cooling in the combined living room/bedroom before summer. On average, it gets about 5 degrees F warmer in the summer, the trade winds slow by about 5 miles per hour and shift from coming out of the north-east to coming from the south-east. Not like the seasonal extremes in latitudes further from the equator, but definitely warmer.
best,
paul

Liked: Check-in, communication
Disliked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
The view is what you pay for. This is not at all a 2 bedroom , its 1 bedroom with a queen bed then a living area with a bed and pull out sofa. Tiles are broken everywhere, tiles on stairs to washer are not atached and could be dangerous. Dead bugs througout. Kitchen has stovetop and microwave but no oven.
The pictures just don’t do this place justice. If you have a large group, get this house. It was absolutely perfect. The owner was very friendly as well and helped us out. Thank you for such an amazing experience.
Great views with private deck. Hosts were very helpful with arrangements. Great location, but difficult to find at first-follow host instructions for location. Recommend having your own car. Would stay again!
Wonderful view, especially loved the balcony with breath taking views of the ocean. Very secluded but also not too far from restaurants and beaches. It was nice having beach chairs, cooler, full kitchen. Only things we didn’t like: bed pillows were flat as pancakes (we actually went to the store and bought new pillows for us to use during the stay) and on the day we checked out we found a huge (live) cockroach in the kitchen. Other than that, apartment seemed clean so maybe it was a rare occurrence. The owner was very good with communicating and check in/check out was a breeze.
The views from the deck on St. Thomas’ east coast were impressive. Words cannot do it justice. In view were numerous British Virgins Islands, St. John, and other various USVIs. The surroundings were peaceful with lots of interesting lush tropical vegetation. Good proximity to the two best beaches, in our opinion, Magen’s Bay and Coki Bay, and nightlife of Red Hook.
The two beds were very comfortable. The residence was clean, orderly, and of adequate size for a family/group of four. We made good use of the kitchen range, refrigerator, and outside propane grill. The accommodations in general were good and if we were out of a supply the owners, Paul and Tatiana, were responsive.
It was a good value and we recommend staying there.
Definitely recommend renting a higher ground clearance SUV-type car.
This 2-bedroom was the perfect spot for us and our 2 sons (16 & 21). We loved the patio overlooking the sea. Sparkling wine was waiting in the refrigerator when we arrived. There were plenty of linens and towels provided. And it’s nice that coolers, beach chairs and a grill are there for your use. The location is the perfect jumping off point for a day trip to St. John. It’s also close to Red Hook and several amazing snorkeling spots. We slept well in the cool, dark bedroom in the center of the unit. Much more for your money than a comparably priced hotel room.
There is taxi service available, but we rented a car and we're glad we did. It offered more convenience to come and go as we wanted.
Would definitely recommend!
Thoroughly enjoyed our 5 days at this location, Villa de La Vista, on the east side of the island. Accommodations were wonderful and the owners are very pleasant. Private getaway with spectacular vista, especially the sunrises. Great place to just "chill and replenish the spirit." Ideal for adults. Location is not far from anything...Magen's Beach, Red Hook ferry, Charlotte Amalie, Root 42 Bar & Grill, Old Stone Farmhouse, Udder Delight, etc. Heck, it is an island so you are not far from anything but you do need a vehicle. I have been to USVI many times and much prefer Villa de La Vista over the hotels. Will most likely stay at this location again and again!
The views were absolutely incredible. I could not wait to wake up each day and have breakfast on the private patio. My kids and a husband and I all needed to do zoom calls while we were there, and the Internet was great. Paul and his family were so welcoming, accommodating and wonderful. I would definitely go back.
We were lucky that our taxi even dropped us off to the location of East Tabor. The owner said he was shocked the taxi made it that far. The area is very secluded and away from everything!!Did I say everything? I mean everything! Not ideal when you spend money to go to St Thomas. Very remote and out of the way. Far from dining , despite the owner putting online there was some type of beach access , there was not. Spent a lot of money on travel to and fro from the beach. One of the rooms was not only musty but also mouldy.

I would encourage all to read the advertisement. We make no claim of beach access by land. Kayak only.. We are centrally located on a relatively small island that can be driven end to end in any direction in about half an hour....so nowhere on island is far away from anything else. This guest is unhappy because they broke a mirror and were charged for it. Sour grapes.
Great Hosts and beautiful views but I have to rate 4 stars
Paul and Tetyana are great hosts and very very friendly kind people. For the price me and my boyfriend paid to stay for a week you CANNOT get better anywhere else. This property is located in the very back of a gated community. You are very secluded and do have lots of privacy. You are also far from town but still a short drive away at the same time which is great for security and safety purposes. The reason I have to give 4 stars is because the description says you get access to a private beach but you simply do not have access to this beach anymore. Although THIS IS NOT PAULS FAULT! This beach is a 2 minute walk down a few driveways. You literally can see it at a distance from Paul's driveway. BUT someone had recently bought the property that is surrounding this beach. This property owner put a gate around their house. (So now technically you have to walk thru someone's property to get to this beach) This private/seculuded beach is a "public beach". But walking into and through someone's backyard/property is illegal and considered trespassing. The owners of this house asked Paul to please stop bringing his guests there. So now there is no longer access to this beach. Although I do understand this is not Paul's fault at all. I think he should take this part out of the villas description because now this is false advertising and that is not right to do. I was truly looking forward to using this beach. I didnt know this beach was no longer available until we got to the house and I asked Paul about it. This made me very disappointed and it did bum me out for a few minutes. Yes there are plenty of other gorgeous and quiet beaches to occupy in saint thomas and the surrounding Islands but again we were advertised something and I was looking forward to it. My boyfriend works over 75 hours a week so I was excited to get some nice alone "close to home" beach time in and let him catch up on some sleep in the house lol me and my boyfriend even contemplated on going to the neighbors house and telling them we will pay them to let us walk thru their house to get to the beach lol but we never wound up doing that we just enjoyed all the island has to offer. We wound up enjoying our time and stay on the island but me getting upset and disappointed definitely could have been avoided. Also not everyone is as understanding as us. I do also believe the door and sink handles could have been sanitized a bit better but overall the villa was beautiful and deff worth it

Amanda,
Thank you for the review and kind words.
We're glad you enjoyed your visit.
It appears that we lost a star due to two things:
1) You could not walk to Sunsi beach.
2) You found the door knob and sink handles could have used better cleaning.
I'm writing in defense of our lost star. lol.
1) Our VRBO add does not claim you can walk down to Sunsi beach.
Here is a cut & paste. It has not changed for years:
"...
Sunsi Beach is in sight of our villa.
It is not currently accessible by land.
It is accessible only by water.
..."
As you mention, and as I said on your arrival, there has been intermittent access allowed to the beach by land, but
a new owner has fenced off the path and put up no trespassing signs.
I suspect you may have read other reviews about access to the beach by kayak and
reached the conclusion that access was allowed by land?
Regardless, we did not 'false advertise'.
2) As you may recall, you arrived early, prior to 4pm checkin, and dropped off your luggage.
Cleaning was still in process. While you were waiting for access, I offered to show you and your significant other,
the path down to the cliff by the Atlantic. When we returned up the hill from the cliff, cleaning was still in process.
My cleaning lady (wife) left the unit so that you folks had some privacy to use the facilities, which had already been cleaned,
only sweeping and mopping was left. You made no mention of a problem with the door knobs and/or sink handles at that time.
thanks & best,
paul
We came to St Thomas for my boyfriend's 30th birthday and it was absolutely stunning! We loved waking up every morning to the view of the Atlantic and the local wildlife would even come greet us! Paul made it an unforgettable trip by even providing us a cooler for our beach days and chairs so we could relax in paradise. I cannot give a higher review (but wish I could!)
