Wonderful place! This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed at this property and once again had a fantastic family vacation. They are thoughtful hosts in leaving plenty of spices in the cupboards, condiments for use in the fridge and an overall well stocked kitchen. Everything in the home was fresh and clean. Couldn’t ask for a more perfect beach - quiet and walkable. The host was very responsive as well. Great experience!

This house was great for our family of 6 (ages 2-7)! The house was well stocked - including items others mentioned were scarce (toilet paper, paper towels, wash clothes). So I had extras, but could've saved the room on packing. Same with sand toys/beach needs. They were plentiful! We had the kids pack a few items as I wasn't sure and didn't want them fighting, but that was unnecessary! The steps for the beach were SO close to the house it was awesome for nightly sunsets. Although, too steep for my moms preference so she walked to the next set on our beach day (less than 5 mins) and theyre not as intimidating. Will definitely consider this house and any on this street in the future! What a great community!

Great place! Wonderful base to explore Pentwater, Silver Lake, and Mears. Had everything you need for a fun family vacation. Beach was wonderful and woods near by were great for a rainy hike. Recommend The Brown Bear for a fun night out. Pentwater Pizza for some great carryout pizza.

Perfect stay

We were so impressed with the house and location near the beach. We enjoyed using the kitchen for our meals and ate both inside and out. The walk to the beach was short and we loved our stay! We hope to return😊

The cottage has a great location, about 1/10 of a mile from the beach. Communication with the hosts was quick and easy. The cottage is very nice with no bugs or noticeable odors. There is a balcony on the back of the property which could have used a little more cleaning, but the inside of the property was very clean.

Awesome Getaway!

This place was everything the listing said and more. So close to Lake Michigan and tucked into a quiet neighborhood. The house was clean and it was one of the most well stocked kitchens we have stayed in. We are definitely saving this for future visits.

A family get away!

I looked up places on line last winter, when we all were experiencing those winter/Covid blues! This looked like a very inviting place to stay. A get away by Lake Michigan, is always a winner!

What a vacation!

Really fantastic family vacation! This property was more than we expected! We had some rain during our stay, but the house was very comfortable with plenty of games and movies to occupy us. But mostly the weather was wonderful and we enjoyed lots of beach time and big waves, then enjoyed bonfires and star gazing at night. We are a cooking family and the kitchen was also well stocked which was appreciated. We hope to return some day soon!

Bucket List Bungalow

It was on my bucket list to have all of my kids/family to go on vacation together. We had a wonderful time at the house, on the beach and enjoyed several activities in the close proximity. The cottage had plenty of room for 6 adults, 2 kids (ages 3 & 5) plus a little more room if you didn't want to sleep in the bedroom. We didn't realize there wasn't air conditioning until a few days before we arrived, but the weather was perfect. Extras we enjoyed, outside grill, fire pit, beach toys/umbrellas, and laundry equipment. Thank you for a great stay!

Wonderful place!

We spent our family vacation here, and it was wonderful. The house has everything you need - both space and amenity wise. It was clean, welcoming and spacious. The porches are great - especially if you get to relax on them during a rain shower. There Re lots of books and games to keep you busy on those days as well. Our kids loved visiting the sand dunes and lighthouse nearby. And I was a fan of Pentwater and Ludington. But the highlight of our trip was the beautiful beach. My mind will keep the memories made there for a long time. The kids counted the steps eveytime we went up and down, There are somewhere between 80 - 83 steps, per our 6 and 3 year old.

Great Getaway

Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful house. We loved every minute! It truly had everything we needed and more! Our family loved everything…the fire pit, the deck outside to eat dinners and play games, the porches, the large kitchen table… we never felt like we were on top of each other. Lots of spots to play games as a family. But our favorite part was the location….that picturesque private beach! It definitely was the cherry on top! Thank you again for allowing us to stay. We will cherish the memories for years to come! And we look forward to returning again!

Lovely spacious cottage by Lake Michigan

We had a wonderful time at this beach cottage. It was very spacious with lots of outdoor seating and covered balconies. I especially liked the second floor screened in balcony where you could see the trees and feel the breeze. Everything was clean and comfortable. We loved how close it was to Lake Michigan. Tip for future guests: the closest community access stairs are quite steep but there a newly built staircase at the end of the road, just a short walk. There is no A/C but with fans and windows it was fine. Another tip: bring extra toilet paper, paper towels and face cloths, as there were not enough for 6 of us. The campfire was great and we even saw two deer during one evening campfire.

Sensational!

What a wonderful week we had! Our hosts were so accommodating and were quick to respond to anything we needed. We were so impressed by the amount of space we had. Lots of comfortable space inside and outside. The rooms are light and airy. The kitchen had everything we needed and the laundry room was an added bonus. Upstairs the beds are comfy with ceiling fans in each bedroom, plus an extra fan in each closet if you wanted a little more airflow. We had perfect weather with warm days and cool nights. We spent a lot of time on the front porch/deck and enjoyed a fire every night. We did bring our own firewood so that we didn’t need to replace any that was there. Be sure to check out the beach on Lake Michigan. The stairs down to the beach may be a bit too much for older folks, but if you can manage, you won’t be disappointed! The view is spectacular and although the water was a bit cold, it was totally worth it! The property’s location is just a short drive to Silver Lake. We had a blast on the Mac Wood’s Dune Ride and can’t wait to do it again! We also enjoyed beach time at the Silver Lake State Park with a magnificent view of the dunes and the water was warmer because the lake is only 16-18 feet deep at it’s deepest. We enjoyed the “best ever wings” at the Chicken Shack in Silver Lake. If you want to enjoy a delicious dinner al fresco, Gull Landing in Pentwater is just a short drive away. The outdoor dining is wonderful! Be sure to check out Hansen’s Market in Mears too.

Great location, the beach was wonderful. We were not happy with how clean the house was. The kitchen floor was not very clean. Overall the house could have been cleaner. The house says 8 guests can stay, but they only had 3 washcloths. Check in and check out were great.
