Our home is located in Gold Canyon, Arizona about 25 minutes east of Tempe. It's located at the base of the Superstition Mountains. The house backs up to a wash and the Superstition Golf and Country Club. There are 4 total golf courses in the general area. Tons of hiking trails throughout the neighborhood including the famous hieroglyphics trail that takes you up the mountain where you'll watch the perfect sunset. The community pool and hot tub area is 10 houses down and a quick and easy walk. There is a bbq area at the pool as well and it's a great place to hang out. Or sit on the backyard and look at the mountains with no neighbors behind the house giving great views of the mountain. The house has 3 full bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. There is also a loft area with a desk that is used for an office area. Downstairs, there is a den that we have turned into a yoga / workout room.

The kitchen includes stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops and is fully equipped with everything you will need to prepare delicious meals.

The house is fully connected with wireless internet and a phone which includes free long distance calling anywhere in North America. There is also two flat screen TV's.

This house is a great spot for other day trips to other destinations such as Las Vegas, Sedona, The Grand Canyon or Mexico.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. When we are on vacation we like to feel at home and this did not disappoint.Adam and Mandy truly went above and beyond to make sure our stay was exceptional. The home was spotless, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully prepared for us. One of our favorite touches was the AeroGarden with fresh herbs growing for us to use in our cooking — such a unique and welcoming detail that made the experience feel personal and special.The setting is breathtaking. The views of the Superstition Mountains are spectacular, especially at sunset — absolutely unforgettable. We loved sitting outside listening to the wildlife and soaking in the peaceful desert surroundings. It was the perfect balance of quiet relaxation and natural beauty. The grill was very nice and the outdoor furniture beautiful and comfortable. There is a huge TV outside that we didn’t use because we prefer the scenery. Adam and Mandy are genuinely kind and trustworthy people who clearly care about their guests. Even the neighbors were incredibly welcoming — one of the neighbors next door thoughtfully put together a whole list of things to do in the area for us. That sense of community made our stay even more meaningful.If you’re looking for a place that feels like home, with incredible views and hosts who truly care, this is it. We would stay here again without hesitation.

Great location and views of Superstition Mountains, community pool and hot tub were excellent, lots of hiking trails in the community and nearby. Close to Hwy 60 but not too close. Bashes groceries close by. Outdoor seating, grill and fire pit nice. Some furniture is beyond useful life and should be replaced.

Great Location/Property

Very nice property. Spacious. Felt right at home. Beds were comfortable. Adam was great to work with. Nice neighborhood. Only thing that surprised us compared to other VRBO's we've stayed at was there was no hand soap/shampoo/toilet paper, etc. Which wasn't a big deal. We just purchased some at the local supermarket for the kitchen and each bathroom. I probably missed it in the original listing. Other than that little wrinkle, it was a fantastic stay! Will be going there again without a doubt. Highly recommend.

Felt like home

We stayed in this perfect 3BR 3BA VRBO over Christmas holidays while visiting Phoenix-area family from overseas. We could not have been more thrilled with our choice! In fact after our 10-day stay at this property we rented an RV...and we found ourselves commenting over and over at how we wished we had just stayed here the whole time and made day trips or single-night trips out of this Gold Canyon house. With our two kids, this 3BR home fit us perfectly. The home is comfortably appointed with everything we needed to relax and feel at home. In fact one evening we hosted a family dinner for 18 people--with the seemingly endless bar and ample dining area, we easily fit everyone. One of the key features we sought and enjoyed about this home is the location--we were looking for something with privacy and an outdoorsy feel. From this house you can walk right out to trails to enjoy the Superstition Mountains--we saw deer, javalina, coyote, desert cottontail, Gambel's quail, cardinals, turtle doves, and more--amazing! Even with the outdoorsiness we were seeking, this home is so conveniently located - a walk to the grocery store, local eateries, or a short (and gorgeous) drive to all the services and conveniences of Mesa and Apache Junction, AZ. The landlord was so friendly, and has a wonderful and responsive property manager who handled everything for us prior to arrival, and also when we extended our stay an extra day. The home is perfectly kept and really, you just walk in and get right to the feeling of "living." With all the desert fun we were having, I must have done two loads of laundry a day, all easily handled by the washer and dryer. Absolutely everything we needed was all there. If you haven't tried VRBO, you should! VRBO is a million times better than a hotel room!

Fantastic Getaway

Great location. Easy to find and access house. Adam was easy to communicate with and responsive. House was comfortable and roomy. The view of The Superstitions from the backyard lived up to the hype. We stayed here for four months, from November 2018 to March 2019 and even that wasn’t long enough to enjoy all of the amenities this beautiful home and amazing area has to offer. The house has everything needed to feel right at home and the location is perfect to watch the Superstitions as the back drop to the wildlife in the wash that it backs onto. The quiet community has nice trails to walk on, a pool and hot tub just down the street and a shopping centre only a short walk or drive away. We hiked, golfed, shopped and just relaxed in the yard watching that view, oh, that view! Adam was attentive, accommodating and a pleasure to interact with and made us feel welcomed as friends, not just guests. Believe it, all of the reviews are accurate and there’s not enough good to say about this home away from home. We are missing it already!

The owner, Adam, and property manager, Sherry, were very helpful in getting this property booked, ready, clean, comfortable, and available if any questions or concerns! The location was perfect for my son's rehearsal dinner at the GC golf resort and wedding at the Windmill Winery in Florence. Also, perfect for access to hiking in GC, Lost Dutchman, and Silly Mountain! The community pool was a short walk away, too! I highly recommend this property! Thank you, Adam and Sherry!!

Relax with outstanding views of the Superstition Mountain and local wildlife

My wife and I stayed at Adams home for the month of March 2017. We had just retired and were looking for a quiet place to relax. We couldn't have been more pleased with the accommodations and the location of this house. When relaxing on the patio you get the feeling that you are alone with nature, yet you are only steps from all modern services and only minutes from malls , shopping and golf. We saw many different types of birds and animals each day, both in and outside the yard. The house is clean and well kept, and totally suited our needs. The owner was responsive before, during and after our stay. Above all, the views of the Superstition Mountain were outstanding. As the sun sets, you are treated to a different array of colors every five minutes. Truly beautiful and unique to this location. We would certainly stay here again, and hope to have that opportunity in the future. Kevin and Karen

The wild life around this house was amazing

Can can take numerous trails throughout this housing development with outstanding views of mountains. We walked to the grocery store almost everyday and enjoyed the outstanding view from the house of Superstition Mountains. House was bigger than we needed but was comfortable. We also enjoyed the heated community pool and hot tub.

Amazing mountain views from the backyard

Not many houses have a mountain facing view and a view with no houses backing up to the property. There is a wash in the backyard so you have true nature right out your door. The house has everything you need and is 10 houses down from community area that has beautiful pool, hot tub and cooking area. Will be back for sure.

Beautiful Home in Gold Canyon with Stunning View of the Superstition Mtns

My co-workers and I stayed in this house for ~6 weeks while working out of Superior, Arizona. The home is well located with easy access off of US Highway 60. The grocery store and places to eat are conveniently located within 1 mile of the house. The fully furnished house had absolutely everything we needed and was a refreshing change of pace from the places we generally stay. The home was clean and well maintained, and the owner and the property manager were accessible and helpful when we had questions. I would certainly recommend this rental to anyone who is planning to work or play in/around Gold Canyon. This will definitely be the first place I look when I need to stay in the Superior/Gold Canyon area in the future.

Our family got this house in 2001. The love for being in nature, the bright night skies were you can see all the stars, the amazing hiking, biking and outdoor activities just sucked us in. And Sedona is only a 2 hour drive.

Why they chose this property

Best part of this property is the backyard has no neighbors. There is a large wash that runs through and you'll see coyotes and all kinds of wildlife running and flying through it. And just above it is the view of Superstition Mountain. Not many homes have a backyard view of the mountain and no houses in the way to obstruct the view.
