Fantastic vacation home - fully furnished kitchen and bedrooms. Lovely lake house property with functional kayaks and great swimming. Visitors can benefit from bringing water shoes. House was great to work with and very accommodating!

Little slice of heaven! Tons of space for our family of 5. Amazing screened in porch, fire pit and private water access. Loon watching in the morning was a nice added touch we hadn't planned on but looked forward to each morning on the private rock edge of the property. The boys loved the 5 acres of trails across the street. The place still looks brand new inside. Anita was awesome. We would highly recommend.

Beautiful property, peaceful location, and an excellent host. The lake views were stunning, the house was immaculate, and every detail was thoughtfully handled. We especially loved the spacious screened-in porch and convenient location to accommodate our fishing and hiking goals. We’d book again without hesitation.

A lovely house in an idyllic setting. The house was clean, had everything we needed, and was less than an hour from Acadia NP. Hosts were nearby and helpful. We took the kayaks out to see the eagles' nest on the island in the middle of the lake.

Our stay was for a 3-generation family trip. The best way to convey the whole family's experience is that they told me I had to book us all a week for next year before we left! The listing description is perfectly accurate, and the listing pictures are great, but none of that truly does justice to the home or the property. You have to go there and experience it yourself to really appreciate how wonderful it all is. The giant inflatable party island and the unicorn were not included in the listing (we brought with us), but their use is highly recommended.:)

If you are in search of peace and tranquility, this is the place to be. Not only is the property beautiful, with all needed amenities, but Anita and Pat are wonderful hosts. Both are above reproach when it comes to hospitality and responsiveness. Once you are done kayaking the beautiful bolder-laden shores of Hopkins Pond (along with visiting the eagle's nest across the pond) take time to enjoy the local area. Ellsworth is a great little town, and you are a little over an hour's drive from Hopkins Pond to Schoodic Point on the coast of Maine.Overall, a wonderful experience and yes - I'd return to this property without hesitation.

Gorgeous Maine... on Golden pond

Anita and Pat are incredible hosts, the home is perfect and the location pristine. If you need to recharge your batteries and connect with nature it's the perfect place... lots of options and bug enough to have the whole family stay

We stayed late August. The property was very nice. It was more spacious than the pictures portrayed. We had 8 adults stay and we never felt crowded. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook full meals daily. It was located a reasonable distance from so many places of interest. The lake was very peaceful and quiet except for the Loons. It did have a few kayaks. My only suggestion would be to have a few more boats maybe a canoe or small row boat for fishing. But we were able to make do. They have a small outfitter near by that will rent smaller water craft drop off and pick up for a reasonable price. It was a great week. I’m sure we were just lucky but there were no mosquitoes are biting flies.

This beautiful home and setting exceeded all of our family’s expectations which is never easy. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The location provided all sorts of activities close by as well as a quiet, beautiful lake to enjoy. We hope to return.

Beautiful getaway

Granite cove is a peaceful waterfront property. The house is new and very clean. Our children enjoyed kayaking, swimming (even in October we had some warm days) and nearby hikes.

Great stay in beautiful location!

We had a great time at Granite Cove! Kayaking, fishing, and swimming in the pond were enjoyed by all as well as relaxing on the screen porch! Bar Harbor and Acadia are about an hour drive, but well worth it! Our multi-generation family vacation was fully accommodated at this location! Anita was easily accessible and a wonderful host! This is a prime vacation spot for a peaceful getaway!

This beautiful property was wonderful for a week with family! Perfect Maine Getaway

We loved our stay at the lake! The house was wonderful and had everything we needed to make our stay terrific. The location was great. We wanted a location where we could make short day trips to see the sights around Bangor and Acadia NP, while still enjoying days where we could just hang out at the lake. The property was beautiful with all the wildflowers in bloom. It was a perfect vacation spot for our family. We will definitely try to stay again if we make it back out that way in the future.

Fantastic, peaceful location and the owners living next door was an added bonus! They were very helpful. The layout was good with a bedroom for each adult couple and the bunk room by two of the bedrooms. The screened in porch was awesome! Highly recommend

Perfect Maine lake house for family vacation

This was one of the best rental properties we've ever stayed at. Home is fairly new. It's bright, clean, comfortable and in a beautiful, lakefront setting. The hosts put a lot of thought into the design and provided amenities such as firewood for the outdoor fire pit. We swam and kayaked in the crystal clear lake. If you're looking for a peaceful, relaxing vacation in nature, this is the place for you.

Home way from home.

An oasis from the hustle of life. The house was amazing, and beautiful. Very spacious to allow everyone to have their own space. It was a little to cold for the adults swim and kayak, but we enjoyed watching the kiddos in the pond. Would definitely recommend.
