Condo was nice and roomy! Not many places close to eat so we ended up doing a food lion trip but the kitchen was well equipped for home cooked meals. Kids loved the pool and hot tub and wildcat lake which was nearby and great for fishing and grilling out with the family!

The condo itself is wonderful. We loved the layout and flow and the couches were comfy for movie nights after a day of skiing. The only complaint I have is the parking situation. There are only four spots available for dropping off luggage and check in so we sat for close to an hour waiting. It’s so high that parking and bringing your own luggage up isn’t an option when it’s snowing and you have young children. It’s also difficult to unload into the shuttle.

not very good
Ran out of toilet paper and none was available until later that day. Window had no screen and owner said there are no bugs here. Left window open and moths came in. Heat was brutal and we knew there was no air conditioning but with broken fan and inability to keep window open, it was very uncomfortable. Frying pan was so warped we had trouble fixing eggs for breakfast. Refrigerator froze everything so we turned the control to warmer setting and eggs still froze overnight.
On a good note, plenty of towels available. View from balcony was exceptional. Pool and hot tub were nice. If weather had been cooler, we wouldn't have been as unhappy.

Hi Cathy, we want all of our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we're sorry that you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- We were happy to drop off more toilet paper for you within 30 minutes of your reaching out.
- We let you know that we've typically not had issues with being bit by bugs in this area and apologize for any miscommunication regarding the window. We've since added screens put in each bedroom.
- We were unaware that the fan was broken or the issues with the frying pan, both have since been replaced.
- We've never had issues with the refrigerator but set it to a warmer temperature to prevent this from recurring.
We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.
The water in the back of the toilet runs constantly. In the main bedroom. We did see a roach im just hoping none went home in our bags. The worst part is the set up of the condo. I’m not sure why a fireplace would be set there right as you turn the corner. We bumped the edge with our toe a few and it’s a very poor design. But looking at pictures from other condos there they all share that same terrible design with a fireplace right in the middle of the floor. I didn’t read the listing very well as you have to park down the hill and get a shuttle to the top unless you are a resident there. Then you can park in the lot. So when we leave and come back you have to let the guard know you need a shuttle to the top. Unless you are in primo condition there is no way you can walk to the top.
It did have great views but they were sand blasting the side of the building and it was blowing around.
And evolve that manages it. You will have to strip your beds, empty all your trash, place all your dishes in the dishwasher and start it and be sure to put your towels in the floor prior to leaving. Not sure why you pay a cleaning fee if you have to clean up everything before you leave. I don’t have a problem with placing my dishes in a dishwasher or towels in the floor. But not sure why I’m emptying trash cans and stripping beds when I have to pay a cleaning fee

Thank you for writing such an insightful review. I had no idea that the toilet was running, so I had a new tank built shortly after seeing what you wrote. Thanks for that.
As for the design, I think it's more of a preference. I love having the fireplace in the living room, especially while I'm relaxing after a day of skiing or after a trip to the pool. I do plan on making some significant updates in the coming years, but until then, the layout will be that of the traditional setup.
The parking is subject to capacity. I, as an owner, even have to park at the lower lots and use the shuttle from time to time. The shuttle has always been utilized whenever parking is needed for the lower levels and is usually very quick to get me to my vehicle.
As for the sandblasting goes, I'm sorry for that. I know it was a bit much to take during your stay, however, the updates are much needed to preserve the building. Next, they'll be resurfacing the entire structure.
Relating to the list of things I ask guests to do on the day of checkout, I've only tried to ask for things that will help keep things running smoothly. The dishes being placed in the dishwasher and taking the trash to the chute are specifically requested in order to prevent bugs from finding their way to my place. Stripping the beds helps my housekeeping team quickly gather the linens and towels to get them washed and prepped for the next guests. These items help tremendously when we have back-to-back reservations (when a guest checks out and then another guest checks in on the same day).

Convenient with great views
Overall we love staying at condos here. This one was cozy. We got a great view of grandfather mountain and enjoyed being able to use the pool.
The beds were a little firm for us adults, and we’re average to below average weight. There is memory foam over the mattress, but it wasn’t enough for us, especially in the bunk room.
A few more updates and added utensils and kitchen tools would go a long way as well as more thorough cleaning. We had to sweep the floors before we got settled in. I’m sure it was an oversight.
We loved this condo! The master bed was so comfortable and everything you could think of was provided. The building is going through renovations and there were men working outside on the balcony and on scaffolding. Didn’t allow us to use the balcony or have much privacy, but that wasn’t the owners’ fault. The building manager said it is a long-term renovation on the building so you may want to check if they are finished if that would bother you. The condo itself was fabulous! Thanks for a great weekend!
The unit is large and was clean. The balcony views are amazing. Bed was comfy. The kids loved the pool. Shuttle drivers were very personable and nice. No complaints.
It was my partners and I first trip to the mountains for his birthday, unfortunately last minute because of some construction work balcony wasn’t allowed to be used but Brandon was very attentive and willing to work with whatever we felt most comfortable doing and wanted to make sure our stay would still be good with some great resources and recommendations. Our stay was very pleasant and the views were amazing i thank Brandon so much! We are definitely looking into coming back to this exact location. Thank you so much again Brandon it was beautiful!
The view was spectacular. The kitchen was fully stocked.
Wash cloths, blankets, and comforter in the master bedroom were dirty. Wash cloths had brown stains and hair on them. There was food (grapes) on the floor in the living room (we did not have any grapes). Furniture in the living room had an odor. We checked out a day early because of the issues. It just felt uncomfortable. Staff at the retreat were rude and unfriendly as well.
