Peaceful, cozy, and perfectly located by the river. The indoor fireplace and outdoor firepit made it extra special, and the tons of toys were a huge hit with the grandkids. We loved every minute!
Great long, weekend. Perfect company as well as the property. Exactly what we were looking for. Bucolic setting, ample amenities and far away from the hustle. Time away to reflect with great friends. Thank you.
This cabin is so peaceful. The fire pit is next to a stream. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. The property manager was excellent and super helpful. Thank you for a great stay.
We were very much impressed and pleased with both the cabin & property location. Super easy for check-in. Especially enjoyed the large firepit down by the river. Beautiful and relaxing. Will certainly consider coming back. Thanks for a great weekend!
This place is very special. Very relaxing with beautiful views, hiking trails and calming river. Even a very friendly neighbor (black bear surprised us one early morning) the cabin was very kid friendly with tons of toys and books. Communication was quick and easy. No issues! Thank you for a great family trip.

Fantastic Getaway
This cabin is perfect. The property is gorgeous and the house has everything you need. It's a perfect balance of being a true cabin with some modern amenities. The place was spotless and there were fresh towels neatly available on each bed. The host was responsive with every inquiry and allowed me to communicate via text which was very helpful for me. We enjoyed ourselves so much, we plan to go back in the future.

Amazing riverside cabin
We loved the property!! It was even better than we expected it to be! The home was beautiful, s’more fixings were provided as were some coffee pods. Thanks!! The beds were absolutely wonderful. The surrounding property was amazing- wished we could have spent more time using it, but we were in the area for a weekend wedding and so were busy with activities. If we’re ever in this area, we would definitely use this property again!

Riversong Luxe Cabin w/ Fire Pit on North River
Great stay at Riversong for two nights while in town for a wedding. Cabin provided all the necessities and although there where only two of us 7- 10 would have been comfortable. this place would be fantastic for a family reunion or getaway for a large group of friends. Additional bonus of this property is the access to the north river and the ice mountain trail system. Had a great Saturday morning hike to Raven Rock that provides great views of the area. We enjoyed the privacy of the gated community and the direct connection to nature.
The home was absolutely gorgeous! The surrounding area and property was nothing short of spectacular. We stayed there with 4 of our adult children for a wedding weekend in Capon Bridge. The house far exceeded our expectations. The surrounding property was amazing, too. Fire pit, woods, horseshoes, porch, river- all was beautiful!! The only negative was that we had so many fun wedding activities to attend, we didn't get to spend as much time at the cabin as we would have liked! I would definitely recommend this property if you are looking for a get-a-way in the area. Simply beautiful!!

Riversong Made My Heart Sing!
This cabin lies within a high-end gated community with large, wooded lots right along the riverfront and was the perfect family retreat from this pandemic! The scenery was gorgeous - there are a couple of picturesque suspension footbridges to climb, and we did the hike up Ice Mountain to Raven Rocks, which offered breathtaking views. There is a little convenience store/gas station right outside the front gate for all your immediate needs. The property itself, with the beautifully furnished cabin, firepit, grill, and river complete with skipping stones was all our family could ask for - thank you!
Very simple to book this property, the directions for the check in and check out process were clearly email to us. The property manager was easy to reach to answer questions before our trip, so we did not overpack! We loved staying here and look forward to going back again!

Just what we needed
What a perfect cabin—on every level. The cabin’s aesthetics are as rustic (timber walls, giant stone fireplace) as they are utilitarian (USB chargers everywhere, mini-splits in each room). Yet what I appreciated most: the landscaping. The forest floor surrounding the cabin has been cleared of bramble and shrub, leaving a clean, folk-tale view beneath the tree canopy. That view includes an aquamarine river, and behind that a steep, stone cliff. I could spend weeks here just staring—at the birds, the trees, the beautiful river.
My friends and I absolutely loved Riversong! The cabin was exactly as described and seen in the pictures! It was a wonderful location next to the river, and surprisingly bug-free as compared to other cabins I’ve stayed at near rivers. Highly recommend hiking Ice Mountain if you visit also! 10/10 stay overall, and I certainly would book again in the future!
The property was everything it said it was and more. The hosts thought of everything. Very clean. Well equipped with all you needed. Beautifully decorated and felt like home while also feeling like a vacation getaway. Property beautiful with the river, fire pit area, and grounds to explore. We hiked to the ice caves near by, floated down the river, sat by the fire and made the s'mores the hosts provided, and had just a wonderful time. A little paradise by the river. Thanks for sharing your home with us. I would recommend to others.
Beautiful experience with our children and their family .Grandchildren had a great time swimming in the river, hiking up to ice mountain, making s’mores in the fire pit. Overall all of us had a wonderful time . Would highly recommend the place to friends and family.
Beautiful cabin. Beautiful winding River. Wildlife all over. Great farm market nearby. Nice campfire area overlooking the river! Amazing nature conservancy area adjacent and accessible.
We were looking for a quiet, but beautiful cabin near a river and this was truly the best location. In a private Ice mountain community, this cabin, Riversong, met all our needs and more. It was a perfect location that wasn't too far from major cities or towns but just quiet enough to enjoy being out in nature.
The homeowner provided alot of items including a lovely gift of the ingredients to make S'mores. We enjoyed hiking up Ice Mountain (which was quite the adventure!) And enjoyed fishing, campfires and the fireplace inside.
We explored the town of Winchester, went to the Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad and went to Harper's Ferry. All within a short drive from the cabin.
If we came back to West Virginia I wouldn't hesitate to stay here and will recommend it to others.
Thanks for the beautiful cabin!
And we had one small issue with the heat but it could have been us but the owner Charlie was prompt on sending someone out to take of it. And he was the one that initiated it all. I guess technology can alert to those types of things!
I can not say enough good things about Riversong. The quiet neighborhood, babbling river and inside comfort level were just what we needed for a peaceful long weekend trip. The hosts provided many things I never would have thought of needing, but were wonderful (the charging stations on every nightstand! so cool). The kitchen is stocked extremely well. There are extra blankets and pillows for everyone. We had a great time exploring the outdoors: the property itself, the swinging bridge down the road and the Ice Mountain/Raven Rocks trail. We also enjoyed a quick trip to Capon Bridge for lunch (The River House) and some groceries (Farmer's Daughter Market).

Get away from it all
Riversong is a terrific place to get away from it all--quiet, secluded, and beautiful, set among tall trees on a shallow river bend. We hardly heard another human or vehicle the entire time. While there are some sights to see and activites nearby, including Ice Mountain and Raven Rocks, you can also spend days at the house, watching for birds or river life. The kids had a great time floating on the deeper part of the river and fishing, playing horseshoes, and building fires for s'mores. The house is well laid out and comfortable and the kitchen has everything necessary for making meals at home. Would definitely like to return!

Wilderness cabin
The cabin is located in a beautiful , serene setting by a lovely river. The surrounding acreage is mature with little undergrowth and is a wonderful space for children to play. We very much enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere.
This is a modest and basic cabin, definitely not luxury category. It is in need of deep cleaning : inside walls and baseboards need vacuuming and cabin exterior needs power washing for dirt and cobwebs. Front steps need repair and The outdoor grill was filthy. We killed many spiders in kitchen and bath rooms as well as large black ants.
The living room has two new comfortable couches. The bed mattresses are very firm and would benefit from thicker foam or mattress pads. Bedroom and bath curtains were inadequate for privacy and sunlight. Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking meals. But we had to buy dish liquid, dishwasher detergent and toilet paper for our 5 night stay. We were grateful that the cabin had a good washer / dryer.
Communication prior to entry was timely and informative.
Riversong Luxury Cabin is aptly named. Our family enjoyed a wonderful weekend relaxing in a rustic but luxurious setting amid the calm and quiet of a wooded 12 acres perched above a flowing river. The cabin was well-appointed with comfortable furniture, luxurious bedding and towels, and thoughtful touches and amenities. The welcome gift of supplies for making s’mores was a great surprise as were the lawn games, books, puzzles and more! We played in the river, enjoyed cooking over the fire, and hiked the property, giving our family the time and space to reconnect and commune in the peace and quiet of nature. We all found our happy place this weekend and plan to return in the future!
