The Village at Bear Trap Dunes is an amenity filled resort community boasting serene open spaces, 27 holes of championship golf and is convenient to shopping, restaurants, and entertainment! This beautiful and spacious vacation villa with private back yard features 3 bedrooms plus 2.5 baths has a casual elegance throughout that includes central air conditioning, full kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer, 3 TVs, WiFi, Sun Room and deck. Bear Trap Dunes offers amazing amenities such as indoor pool, two outdoor pools, kiddie pools, fitness center, tennis courts, multi-sport court, playgrounds, a clubhouse with restaurant and a convenient in-season beach shuttle service. Convenient location is just three miles to Bethany Beach, so you are only a short ride away from sinking your toes in the sand! If using the amenities (optional) guest must pay weekly community recreation fee of $65.00 per person ages 4 and up using the Bear Trap app. Dog Friendly (No Cats!) Less than 30lbs with $200 per fee. Mini Weeks Available all season!

This HOA is No Joke

My husband, two daughters and I rented this home to take my aging mother in law on a brief beach vacation. The property was clean and the management company communicated clearly and in a timely manner. There were not issues with the property itself. However, on the first day of our stay, the next door neighbor paved out front, waiting for me to park my car on the street in front of this rental home. Upon parking, he loudly confronted me, saying that the police would be called because my car allegedly encroached on the entrance to our own rental driveway (where our other car was parked). The second day, a woman across the street knocked on the door, saying that the small garbage can left at the end of the driveway (by the rental company’s cleaning company, prior to our arrival), was an HOA violation that we needed to amend by taking the trash to the dumpster. We readily complied, but this neighbor nonetheless left a VM with the rental agent to complain. My husband and I are quiet and rule-abiding people. We did not expect to be confronted by two neighbors in the span of two days. It is fairly clear that this neighborhood frowns on rental properties and regards vacationers with suspicion and disdain. I would not choose to rent this property again and would recommend against it.
