Great Stay!

The house was beautiful. The heated pool was great! It was a short walk to the beach. Would definitely rent again but heard pets will not be permitted next year.

The layout was great and there was plenty of space for our group (8 adults, 2 children), particularly for lounging and eating in the main area. Only three bedrooms were really suitable for adults (twin and bunk beds in the remaining rooms), which was clear in the listing but worth noting. As the listing states, there are no food items left behind so be sure to pack/purchase anything you might need including staples such as salt. The board game choices were excellent. The pool was an unexpected favorite of our group- the ocean was extremely cold at the start of our trip, but we were still able to enjoy swimming. The location was good, though the walk in the direct sun (15 mins) along the road to the beach was tough on our oldest (70) and youngest (5) family members. The stairs to the beach were also a challenge for them. I would probably rent a golf cart for them to get back and forth for a future visit. The beach was great- close to a lifeguard and not too crowded. The house is also very close to grocery stores and restaurants. It also has a car charger, which was great. The major factor influencing our review was the cleanliness of the space. There was a lot trash (empty chip bags, plastic bottles) under beds and outside near the pool. There were stains and rips in the bedding. We found a pair of dirty socks in the bedding and outside. These were major issues, but are addressable and I hope the owner and management company are able resolve them for future guests.

Great layout for 2 families

The layout of this house was great for 2 families - with sufficient bedrooms and beds to comfortably sleep everyone - and with generous indoor and outdoor space on the top floor to spend time together. The open floor design was great for cooking, dining, and games. (If you plan to cook, please bring ALL your ingredients - including salt and pepper. While there is a "full kitchen", there are no pantry necessities.)Thankfully, the property is very close to the Food Lion and the adjoining shopping center for anything you may need.The listing says "Electric car charging station" so I brought my adapter. It didn't actually have a charging station; it had a 220 plug in the parking bay. If I'd known that, I would have brought my portable Level 2 charger. BYO charger, and it will work for you. If you don't BYO, you'll look wistfully at what you expected to be an Electric Car Charging Station.The VRBO listing says: "Please refer to the Rental Agreement while reviewing Rules & Policies for pool opening/closing dates and pool heat information, including details regarding the optional pool heat fee." Mea culpa. I didn't read the fine print before arriving in the first week of April to a pool that hadn't been cleaned. I recommend confirming with Village Realty that the pool will be cleaned and open because I can't find it - even in the fine print.Knowing the above, I'd rent this property again during a week that the pool was open - and I'd recommend it to others.
