Everything about this home is ideal for families with children or pets, from the pedestrian-friendly location and the comfortably casual furnishings, to the hardwood flooring and tile throughout. Two levels of wrap-around decks provide plenty of room for lounging and living your best outdoor life.

When you're not at the beach or exploring town, brush up on your air hockey skills in the game room downstairs, which also features a large sectional and wet bar making it the perfect room for teens, late night hangouts or an additional living space.

Situated in the Bayberry Bluffs community in the heart of Duck, Kiki's Retreat is within walking distance to the best shopping and dining in town, including The Waterfront Shops, The Blue Point and Tommy's Natural Foods Market & Wine Shop. Getting from the house to the beach will be a breeze using the wooden walkway located at the end of the street, exclusively for Bayberry Bluffs guests.

This house was in a great location right across from the shops and a few minutes to the beach! We enjoyed the big porches and views. The house could’ve used a little dusting and cleaning in certain areas. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Kiki's Retreat, but it's a bit dated for the price of the house. For example, our dishwasher at home is 6-7 years old but works much better at cleaning. They only provide a starter pack of supplies, which I don't love. There were not too many beach chairs/equipment in good condition. As is the case with all vacation rentals, the teflon pans are scratched. On the positive side, I think the host communicated well, and I like that it was pet-friendly. It's like an 8-10 minute walk to both the beach and the town. I'd say that we'd stay again if there are no better options. Good, not great.

The kitchen was setup for cooking but the coils on the stove were partially working. Most meals were at local businesses. The location was excellent and convenient to the beach and the local Duck town boardwalk area. Local bike rentals were simple to rent via Village Realty. Cooling system needed filter replacements which will reduce load on the unit.

Need better lighting on stairs. Yard needs maintenance. Dogs got sand spurs. Outdoor furniture in disrepair. Roof leaked in heavy rainstorm. Overall nice place but a little tired.

Steps are hard for elderly/disabled persons. Lots of beds. Needed cleaned behind the master bed, and under the couch bed on the first floor. First floor pull out couch has springs showing and was not usable as a bed. All three metal chairs on top deck were rusted at the bend and my husband actually fell on the last day as the chair bent and broke bc of rust. The outdoor shower was great! Wish the walkway from the beach had a quick shower as you have to walk a couple mins to this property. The yard was overgrown and trees were blocking the ocean view. Trash day wasn’t clear as one day moved our can to the curb when we were under the impression that it would go on Monday after we checked out. Linens and complementary toiletries were nice. Also beach amenities were left for our use; unsure if from prior tenants or landlord but the umbrella was broke ands a bike had flat tires and rusted chains, another beach chair only unfolded to straight back/broken, but there were several others that we were able to use. The deck could use a power wash Ava stain as the boards feel like they’re “giving”. Great central location for runners/ walkers/ bikers/ bars and restaurants nearby/ shopping also. Hard wood floors were nice. Definitely a revisit.
