The Sandy Duck is a charming colorful cottage that sits in a perfect location - exactly between the ocean and the sound in Duck, NC. A ten-minute walk can take you to the ocean, and easy boardwalk access to the beach, or to the sound and the quaint village of Duck, which offers unique shops and restaurants.

The Sandy Duck features four bedrooms and three full bathrooms, a well stocked , open kitchen perfect for creating family meals, and lots of deck space to enjoy your morning coffee, sun bathe, or take an afternoon break from the beach.

When it's beach time, there's a large wheeled carrier to transport the beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and toys which are provided, or you can pack up your car and drive 300 yards to the beach access where guests have free parking. After the beach, rinse off in the large outdoor shower, complete with a seated changing area.

When it's time for a break from the beach, relax in the large rope hammock, play a game of horseshoes, or bring (or rent) bikes to experience Duck's multi-use paths and trails.

In the evening, stroll down to Duck's unique sound side boardwalk where you can shop, drink, and dine while taking in the spectacular sunsets. The boardwalk, which has been featured in numerous travel periodicals, runs the entire length of the town and offers places for fishing, crabbing, or just setting off on your paddle-board or kayak. It also connects to the Duck Town Park, with over 11 acres of natural beauty including trails through the maritime forest and willow swamp, open green space, and amphitheater, picnic areas, and playground.
