Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I loved the house very very nice location . Big and comfy to fit plenty of people. The things that were broken or faulty they fixed right away . The heated pool was amazing best part of the house .

Beautiful house

This is a beautiful house with immaculate yard perfect for children to run and play, the heated pool was the best part for us.. We will definitely be back

The cues weren’t in the best shape and no chalk also no tennis rackets could be found !

Honestly overall it was amazing and genuinely hope to be out there with family next time and for longer !

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. 50th Birthday weekend

The house was lovely with great facilities but required some attention with some things broken eg basketball hoop, shoe rack at the front door, chair near bbq ripped and no proper bbq tools and not all of the lights working on the tennis courts. Apart from these things we all had a great weekend in this house!

The property has recently undergone its routine inspection and I can confirm the hoe rack has been replaced, chair near BBQ has now been removed and BBQ tools have been ordered. Family pre Christmas holiday

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Home Resort at One Mile is a fabulous house for a family holiday. Everything you need to keep kids and adults entertained was there. We loved the open spaces of the back yard and the tennis court. The pool was excellent for the younger kids. The house is modern and well maintained and very functional. Comfortable beds and space to get some quiet time was welcome. The kitchen was well stocked with all you need for cooking and we did a full Christmas lunch there. Big and little kids loved the games room and the seperate TV room. A problem with the door locks was quickly resolved by the Manager. It was so good we gave booked it for the same time next year.

We had two full days to enjoy our time at the property. The main reason for renting it was access to the pool and tennis court, as we planned to spend most of our stay by the pool after several days at the beach at another property.Upon arrival, we wound back the pool cover and discovered that the plastic underlay showed clear signs of deterioration. The TV in the main living area was not functioning correctly, the Wi-Fi details were not initially available, and there were no amenities provided for use of the tennis court (such as tennis racquets and balls).Plastic fragments and particles of varying sizes from the deteriorating underlay were visible throughout the pool. I spent approximately 20 minutes cleaning the pool, only to find additional fragments at the bottom, not just on the surface. I did not feel comfortable allowing my family, particularly my daughters, to use the pool due to the risk of ingesting plastic.I was advised that someone would attend the property the following day to investigate and address the issues raised. However, given our limited time and the likelihood that the pool issue would not be resolved promptly in my opinion, we made the decision to depart early.We ultimately stayed at the Ramada Resort, where we were able to enjoy our remaining days.We will never be back to the Home Resort

Thank you for your review, Marck. We’d like to clarify a few points for accuracy. You contacted our office at 4:50pm on the day of arrival regarding the pool cover. As this was late in the afternoon, we advised that the pool company could attend first thing the following morning to assess and vacuum the pool. During that call, you advised there was no need, as you had already spent time removing plastic from the pool yourself. You also raised concerns regarding the TV, which was still operational, and we advised that there was an additional TV available for use until this could be checked the following day. During the same conversation, you indicated you may choose to leave the property rather than allow time for the issues to be addressed. Despite us arranging for the pool company to attend the next morning, you contacted the office at 9:30am to advise you had departed the property. A refund was requested, and we asked for photos to assist with the claim. As no photos were provided, we attended the property ourselves. At that time, only a small number of minor plastic fragments were observed. This was later confirmed by the pool company, who advised there were only a few tiny pieces present and that the pool was safe for use. We respect that you chose to depart early; however, we were not given a reasonable opportunity to rectify the concerns before that decision was made. We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback and wish you all the best for your future

The heated pool that is in the title of the house was a big selling point but unfortunately was not turned on before we got there and then took 2 days to heat up to a point to swim in winter. Other than house had what you need to have an easy weekend and in a great location.

Amazing home in a great location

If anyone is planning to head up to Nelson bay for the weekend this property is a must to rent.Great space throughout the whole property to do some activities you’ll never be short of doing anything.

Reviewer Comments: Upon arrival, the sink did not work and I had informed the company which managed my booking. They told me it shouldn’t be an issue and it wasn’t our fault. However, when it was time for my bond to return. i had been charged extra amount for the sinks repair. I had to do several calls to get my money back. The man i spoke to on the phone was not helpful and was adamant on not returning my money.Other than that, the property was good and had nice facilities such as a pool and tennis court.
