Perfect location right on the beach! Older home but many updates and plenty of room for a large group. Very clean and ample amenities for our three day family reunion. Highly recommend this home for your family getaway.
It was great and met all our family's needs. Ages 8 to 74 all had a great time. Only problem was screen doors coming off tracks but we know that comes from lodgers continual misuse and would be hard to keep up with. The beach location was perfect!
Great stay! My family and I have been staying at Salisbury beach for 38 years. This year we were unable to get our usual rental so we took a chance on this place. We were not disappointed, so much room and the amenities were perfect. I would go back in a heartbeat :)
Absolutely recommend!
House was great except most of the screens and windows were broken, either would not open or for not shut. It would have been nice to utilize the windows and doors. The grills were also unusable, dirty and rusted. The smells of dog feces from the previous tenants was also unpleasant.
This is our first time staying at this property. Very close to the beach, basically you are staying right on the beach. We enjoy the fireplace at night. We didn’t use the grill, but there is one of people want to use it. Plenty of beds and fold out futons. It’s an open concept sleeping arrangement. There is technically 3 bedrooms. Plenty of cooking wares. The home itself was big for all 15 of us, a little dated but plenty of parking for 5-6 vehicles. Overall we loved it and will hope to come back again.
The location cannot be beat! It's right next to a beach access, and the house has ample parking. The beds were comfortable, and we were lucky that the owner did install some window AC units due to the heat wave. There were some issues - the screens in one of the upstairs windows were busted out. This was very unsafe, as we had small children that were planning to sleep up there. We had to make new arrangements. The shelving in the downstairs bedroom was falling off the walls/partially broken upon arrival and could not hold any clothing. The back door screen was also broken, and there were holes in it. The owner was responsive when we had an issue with the fridge. Overall, it was a good experience but a bit overpriced for the issues with the property.
Upon arrival we are unable to access the lockbox, we waited 3 hours for someone to arrive, The gentleman that the host sent tried breaking into the box with a pocket knife, when he was unable to do so he unscrewed the lock box from the door took it outside and beat it with a hammer until it opened, there was rotten food and dirty pants inside of the oven, feces in the downstairs toilet, All of the furniture smelled and was stained, All of the windows were filthy and bare wires exposed on the front porch, The location of the house is great The beach is great The views are great The house not so much, The host did compensate us for two nights of our stay. We were unable to find anywhere else to stay or we would have canceled our trip and stayed someplace else, The host claimed he was unaware of any of these situations but upon looking at the reviews from the people that stayed prior to us they had the same problems, and you plan on visiting the area I would stay anywhere by here.
My family loved staying at this property for the week for our annual beach vacation. This way was our third year staying in the area, but first time right on the water. We were spoiled! We loved being able to hop on the beach. It was great for our 3 kids - if they got antsy, they could play games on the beach. It was ideal for my elderly father, we were able to use the front stairs to take him to the path to the beach. I loved waking up to the ocean waves and stepping out onto the 2nd floor balcony to take in the view of the ocean, then going down to the first level deck for my morning coffee!
We knew from the pictures what to expect from the house. It’s open concept on the top floor (one actual bedroom with three beds), but then a wide open room with 3 twins and a across the room was a full (or queen?). We actually loved this set up for the kids. They had more room to hang out and not be on the main level at all times. We used the spicket to rinse off (in the small shed attached to the house in the front). There were not a ton of cleaning supplies handy and the vacuum wasn’t super powerful, just a heads up. We ate at the Deck in Newburyport, but there are so many great spots less than 5 minutes from the house like Marky’s, brown’s, and Ernie’s. I could keep going with how great this property was for our crew! I hope your stay is just as nice as ours.

One Redeeming Quality!
The only redeeming quality this house has to offer is that it is right on the beach. You won’t see that from inside the house because the windows are very dirty and getting to the beachfront requires one to make their way over rickety boards and uneven cement stones. There is an ongoing electrical problem in that the smoke detectors keep going off even with the batteries changed and we left a day early because the kitchen power went out. We did not use the oven as a dirty pan was left inside. Nor did we use the grills as both were horribly dirty. The bathrooms and the bedding were all clean, though the couches and chairs were not only extremely uncomfortable, they were stained with who knows what. We used paper plates and plastic cups throughout our stay as the first dish I pulled out of the cabinet was dirty. There were also piles of junk, a tipped over iron and pans, renovation supplies, etc. in the closets all that had no doors. The entry to the house has no landing, so one must step down a few steps to be able to open the door. We stayed as long as we could stand it, but ultimately ended up leaving a few days early as we just couldn’t stand it anymore.
