Relaxing stay

We enjoyed our stay here at the cabin. Very clean and comfy. Nice deck. It was close to some family members that were staying at the KOA for the weekend, only about 10 minutes away. The only thing we would say is, this cabin does not have a turn around spot. You have to use a neighbor's if they don't already have it blocked by their own vehicle.

Thank you so much for staying with us! We’re glad the cabin felt clean and comfortable and that the deck got some use — and how convenient that family was just down the road at the KOA. You’re right that the driveway doesn’t have a dedicated turnaround; it’s a quirk of the mountain lot. We appreciate you flagging it and hope to host you again next time you’re in Boone!

Thanks so much! That mix of quiet mountain mornings with Boone just a short drive away is our favorite thing about the cabin too. We’d love to have you back for another getaway!

Amenities were nice. Beautiful view. Glad it did not snow or rain or we may not have made it up the road. Great place though!

Very cozy and clean Cabin !

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. All essentials provided were above my expections. Both bedrooms were very clean and comfortable. Every room very clean. If you want to just relax or go to the beautiful surrounding attractions this cabin provided both.

Cabin in Boone NC

Cabin was very clean and the location was great. The nearby shooting range was really no big deal. The largest drawback to the cabin is the parking situation, it is really terrible!

Fly Fishing Trip Cabin Extraordinaire

My fishing buddy and I took a fly fishing trip to Boone and the surrounding region in mid-June 2023. The cabin is perfect for a quiet getaway of any kind. For our fishing trip, it was perfectly located for us to hit streams, creeks, and rivers in every direction. We will definitely come back to this cabin in the future for fishing! I will bring my family up in the future for a fall trip as well.

Cabin in the Woods by the gun range

Cabin was quiet and nice except for the noise from the gun range. Notice bats flying in the early morning around the wooded area noticed poop at the back door every morning looks like bats may be hanging in the top of the eve. Phone service was bad unable to reach the Host.

Lovely, comfortable cabin!

This was the perfect place to stay for a little getaway weekend. The cabin is clean and comfortable and has a lovely green wooded view off the back deck. We didn't use the upstairs loft so can't speak to that but the downstairs bedroom, main living area, and little kitchen were perfect for two. The only thing to note is it can be a little bit of steep gravel road up to the neighborhood. The road next to the cabin itself is level, though, but narrow and can be a bit tricky to figure out how to turn the car around once you're ready to head back down again. Not at all impossible, though, just something to be aware of! It's a nice location - quiet and removed but only a quick 15-minute drive to most places in Boone. We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely recommend this place to friends.

Certainly, here's a more polished version:We stayed in the cabin for a weekend visit to see our daughter in college. The cabin was well-stocked and equipped with everything we might need. It was clean and comfortable, and I particularly appreciated the strong water pressure in the shower, which is important to me. The outdoor area was inviting, and I wished the weather had been warmer so we could have enjoyed dining al fresco. The host was responsive and accommodating of our late checkout, promptly addressing any questions we had. However, the only downside was the parking situation. While it was described as parking on the side of the house, it is actually street parking with a marked-off area in yellow. I drive a full-sized SUV and found it challenging to park comfortably due to the proximity to the hillside. Had my husband and I driven separately, we would not have been able to park both of our SUVs at the cabin.

Fly Fishing Trip

This cottage was exactly what we were looking for. We were close enough to the town but far enough we could enjoy the quietness of the mountain side. Has all the comforts of home. Steep driveway would require 4x4 for icy/snowy conditions. We would definitely stay here again.

Nelson stay

Really nice and clean inside. Several steps to get down to entrance of home, so if you have difficulty with walking, this could be a problem. Would have liked a yard to walk in. Also the gun range is fairly close and it's loud if you're sitting on the back deck. My husband drove a Toyota Tundra, had some difficulty with parking, due to small area . Otherwise, it's a great place if you want a nice clean bed.
