This is a great house. It was perfect for my son's and I. The house was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and it was a great location. The house was very cozy yet roomy enough for us to have our personal space. The check in and out process was very simple. It was a great location for a walk downtown Rapid City or a day at the various monuments and National parks.

Our group of six had a wonderful stay and found the property very spacious, with plenty of room and bathrooms to comfortably accommodate everyone. The Pros: The house is very roomy and features very comfortable beds, an abundance of fresh towels, and a fully stocked kitchen with every item you could need. It is located in a quiet neighborhood that is centrally located to many local attractions. The Cons: The only minor downsides were related to temperature and bathroom showers. The upstairs bedrooms stayed a bit warm, and lowering the AC made the downstairs very cold while the upstairs remained warm. Additionally, only two of the three bathrooms have showers. The third features a beautiful, historic clawfoot tub; while it looks pretty, it is a bit impractical for daily use as there is no shelf space to keep your shampoo and soaps handy.

This was a great place where we spent 4 nights. We loved the proximity to downtown where there was lots of restaurants and shopping and events at the Main Street Square. The house was perfect for our family with plenty of space. It is such a charming house with all the modern amenities you could need. There were a couple great areas outside to hang out and where we enjoyed morning coffee. Overall perfect stay!

We loved spacious historic home with modern amenities and homey feel situated in Rapid City's historic distric just off of downtown. Great for our 6 year old daughter near dinosaur park, and our dog with nice venced backyard deck and patio area. We enjoyed both Rapid City and then used it as a jumping off point for day trips to the black hills atteactions. Highly reccomend for famil vacations to Rapid City Vlack Hills area! We loved it!

Wonderful stay

We had all the amenities needed (except a blow dryer) and the beds were very comfy. Nice and clean. Would stay again. Needed a light bulb and it was handled in a timely manner.

Thank you for this space. We loved the charm and especially how everyone could spread out inside and out side. The separation of sleeping arrangements were perfect for our family. The fenced in yard with games was a perfect spot for morning coffee and our furry family to spread out!

Great Vacation

We enjoyed staying in this historic home. We walked to restaurants and the bagel shop. We took day trips to visit the Black Hills and national parks/monuments. We cooked dinner at the house each night. It was well-stocked with what we needed. We ate dinner on the deck most nights. Would recommend!

We enjoyed the location of this house very much. It was convenient to downtown and local trails and also well situated for seeing sites to the east and west. The layout of the house was quirky, though spacious. We would stay here again.

Easter Stay

We had a lovely stay at this property! The kitchen was well stocked for us to prepare our Easter meal. We enjoyed the historicalness of the home and neighborhood! We had our two dogs with us as well and the fenced yard was perfect! The weather was beautiful and we were able to enjoy the outdoor furniture also! Would definitely stay at this property again on our return visits to Rapid City!

Awesome location in rapid city. Clean safe neighborhood

It was a great location. Comfortable stay. Really cool house and really clean. All the amenities needed. (Wish there was a hairdryer- I forgot to ask and forgot to mention it- but that would be a big perk). Especially loved that there were non toxic laundry supplies. It was close to everything and we loved it. Would stay again if we visit the area.

Lovely home, great location

First visit to Rapid City. This is a lovely, spacious home with lots of space to relax and enjoy. The kitchen is well equipped and the appliances are top line. Dining area is conducive to large meals or lots of card game! Loads of outdoor seating. Beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are quaint. Washer and dryer are excellent! Easy 15-20 minute walk to downtown.

Great Home in the Beautiful Historic District of Rapid City

This home was fabulous. It had lots of room for gathering and hanging out. It was very well furnished and comfy. The kitchen was great for fixing our Thanksgiving prime rib. The location is nicely centralized and easy to get to downtown and other attractions. We had great communication with the owner and enjoyed getting a chance to meet with him. I highly recommend this place and will stay here again on our next trip to the Black Hills/Rapid City.

We loved our time spent in Rapid City! The house is charming - it is an older style, but very comfortable. The kitchen is modern and well-stocked. Centrally located to see Mnt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Wind Cave NP, Devils Tower, etc.The yard does need some attention (especially at the front). An hour with a weedwacker would make a world of difference!

Wonderful Historic home

This is a fantastic home in an extremely convenient part of Western South Dakota. While staying here we visited Devils Tower in Wyoming all the way to Rushmore and Custer State Park and the Badlands. All of these were short day trips from our home base in this historic house. We prepared most of our evening meals in this well appointed kitchen. We particularly enjoyed the vintage way this house is decorated. All in all an A+ to this VRBO
