Very nice property with only a short walk to the beach. Only thing we missed was being able to see the waves from the deck - but not exactly something that could be adjusted!! Very peaceful location with very little noise from surrounding neighborhood and close to groceries, etc.

VRBO graphical description and worded description of rooms and bathrooms were not the same. I asked Brindley beach (Ms Lancaster) about it and even their description was incorrect. Asked for some kind of discount and was refused. No ocean view. Just sand dune view. Hot tub has a bad leak. Tub is outdated and not child safe due to outdated water intake system. Hair can get caught causing drowning. Hot tub has a big leak. Had to fill occasionally. Deck furniture extremely uncomfortable. Vertical slats in deck rails out of code and not child safe. In law quarters very small. Appears to be a converted storage area. Very small bathroom. Floors in that room are VERY SOFT indicating rotten floors. Vinyl flooring on the floor in that room are raised and also soft. So yeah , not impressed at all. Our family had fun but no thanks to the accommodations

OBX - Gypsies, Tramps & Thieves

We stayed at Gypsies, Tramps & Thieves for two weeks. OBX has been our family vacation destination for decades and we all travel far to get here for the family reunion. This house was exactly what we needed with the direct beach access and allowing pets. This was the first time we ventured to the Avon area, and enjoyed walking distance to the local stores, restaurants, bike rental, gym and the beach club where we attended a rock concert. We also enjoyed the proximity of the bay. The house was clean, well equipped and we did not have any technical issues. Overall we are happy with this rental and will be coming back next year.

Christmas 2023

House was in good shape just very dated. Kitchen fully stocked with cooking supplies. Liquid soap, dish washer detergent and laundry detergent were not supplied and we had to buy our own, along with wine glasses. The listing listed a working gas fireplace but there was no gas to connect itvto when we arrived and the management company (Brindly Beach) never corrected the issue or even responded to our maintenence requests to have it fixed. Overall, i would rent again but we had issues with the rental company.
