Good size chunk of property lots of room to spread out. Host is on site and very accommodating. House has everything you need to make your stay comfortable.
Visiting Oneida and enjoyed a long weekend at the house. Was traveling with my husband, 2 adult children and a friend. The house was clean and has all the amenities that we needed. We enjoyed using the kayaks and hanging by the lake. The location was convenient and nice restaurants near by.
We enjoyed our stay. The host was awesome and even called to see if we had any questions before our stay. The only thing that caught us off guard was there is not central AC, it was two window units. Just something to know incase you are like us and like a cool/cold house. Other than that everything was awesome! Beautiful property to enjoy time on the lake!
We had a great time .. Todd was a great host. He was there if we needed him. The house was everything we had hoped for. The lake access was great .. the kayaks .. the view!!! We would definitely rent this place again. It was a great vacation.
My family had a glorious week here! Sitting by the lake, regardless of weather was relaxing and beautiful. Luckily the weather was nice enough out last day to take out the kayaks. The house was comfortable and accommodating, with the r owners onsite it was great for any questions we had. Overall we had a great vacation and will definitely book again!
Has everything you need for a few days away with your family. We loved kayaking and the view of the lake. The only thing could be better is the distance from the road. The house is too close to the main road. Don't let the outside look of the property deter you from going, because the inside is cute, clean, with AC and two TVs. The hanging lights outside make it very cozy.

A Senior's Stay
The host went out of his way to make the property hospitable with little herb and vegetable patches. He was extremely responsive when we identified a cleaning issue. Outside of his control, the geese too love the property.
The house is old and the floors uneven. The steps to the upstairs are steep. The front porch is sagging. The back flagstones, too, offer uneven stepping. These pose some mobility challenges for the youngest and eldest of us.
We found the furniture and lighting uncomfortable for reading or knitting.

Thank you for sharing your feedback about your recent stay at our property. We’re glad to hear that you appreciated the effort we put into creating herb and vegetable patches for our guests and our responsiveness to cleaning issues.
We understand your concerns about the property’s age, including the floors, steep stairs, and front porch. We’ll take this into consideration and explore options for improving accessibility in these areas.
We appreciate your input, and it will help us make improvements for future guests. We hope you’ll consider staying with us again in the future to experience the positive changes we’ll make.
Best,

Not well maintained
Tod was a nice guy. That being said, the listing description was not accurate. The bar closeby has been closed for years. Its not rustic, its dirty. The outside of the house was dirty as was Tod’s. The house a/c’s did not keep it cool, it was extremely uncomfortable. When I inquired about the docks handling our boats, he said that the 1.5 ft of water would be ok. Of the 9 places weve stayed on Oneida, this was the worst. Im leaving this review to protect other potential renters. I feel bab but its all true.

Unfortunately, personal reviews like theses are difficult to read, but at the same time very helpful. I talked with Jeff and his fishing party each day of their stay here. I was never informed of any issues with the A/C not working. My family and I have switched out everything from light bulbs, propane tanks and even a refrigerator during guests stays, due to performance issues, upon being informed of the situation. The bar that is mentioned In Jeff’s review has been closed for almost 6 years and is not listed or marketed by myself or the website. The mention of the outside of the cottage being dirty, in addition to my families house being dirty is confusing and totally unmerited. As for the water depth for their boats, I have photos of their boats tied up to the dock. Some boats do have to be walked in to the dock, due to the under water sand bars in the bay. I helped Jeff and his fishing party walk the boats into and out of the dock. Here again, I will say that we chatted while working together and there was no mention of any issues with the cottage. When my family and I review guests on the website, we are very fair. I will conclude with the fact that Jeff and his fishing party we friendly we’ll mannered. However, the conditions in the cottage, when they left were a mess. To be specific; red solo cups, pasta and candy wrappers under the living room furniture and in the bedrooms. There was clearly oregano or some form of oregano type substance, on the first floor bedroom dresser and in the top drawer of said dresser. When my family and I entered the cottage to clean, we were greeted with an uncapped water bottle, half full spilling water on to floor in the middle of the living room, in plain sight.
Todd is an absolutely phenomenal host! Excellent communication and very responsive to our needs. We arrived late at night during a heat wave and he had the ac running for us. Our family enjoyed swimming and kayaking in the beautiful lake. Wonderful vacation!
The host was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area…. Good places to eat, grocery shop and tackle & bait stores. He was very helpful with our first time at Lake Oneida. The home was well cared for, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would go back again!!!
Great little cabin! Perfect for a quick family get away!! Great shallow swim area for kids tough for boats but worked out ok for a pontoon with a trolling motor on the front! Would definitely stay again!
We had a great time at Todd’s Guest House. Super quaint and cute for our short 2 night stay. Thanks for Todd for being so accommodating. Kids loved the tire swing the most and mom and dad enjoying watching them from the screened in porch.
Look No Further if You Land Here.
Our Family of Five Stayed at Todd’s Awesome Getaway House and Everyone Was Pleased How Clean and Organized the Place Was. I Highly Recommend Every Person to Go there and Check it On Their Own. It’s Much Better Place than We Thought. I would give extra star for Sure
