Charming two bedroom, one bath street level of a duplex, decorated with a tropical theme. Master bedroom has a queen size bed, second bedroom has continental bunk beds (single on top/double bottom), and living room has a queen air mattress. Nice, open floor plan. Color TV, VCR/DVD, cable, stereo, video library, wireless internet, fully equipped kitchen and washer/dryer. Only about a block to the beach and shopping. No smoking, please. 222CA | | | This vacation home rents on a nightly basis (2 night minimum, holidays and selected dates excepted; 3 night minimum mid-June through Labor Day). QUIET HOURS: 9:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. (use of outdoor areas strictly prohibited).

Can't beat location!

Family group of 6 (5 adults and one 5 year old) enjoyed this house a block and a half from the beach, restaurants, shops and a short walk to Descanso Beach Club. Catalina Island is such a fun place to visit! Hope to return soon!

Great location!

Great place to stay with the family. Older unit but fully equipped. Carpet could use a good cleaning but over all well kept. Great location. Walking distance to everything. Washer and dryer is a plus.

Perfectly placed property for walking EVERYWHERE!! Kitchen had everything needed… just disappointed toilet paper wasn’t provided- a basic comfort necessity that I’ve never NOT had at a VRBO - and the sofa bed was in ill repair. But the vacation was AWESOME! Would definitely go again with TP packed :)

Wonderful place close to town, and the beach. The owners kindly and greatly assisted us with a weather/travel issue, which was above and beyond! Great empathy. All boats were canceled the last day from a major storm. We appreciate everything and will certainly stay again.

Nice place

Spent the weekend there with friends. We booked this last minute so we didn’t have a lot of choices. But this turned out to be a nice place for the weekend. We ended up having to go buy toilet paper because there was only a partial roll in the bathroom and no spares anywhere inside the house. I’m also glad they had some fans in the house because there wasn’t any A/C. But it was nice enough to open windows and bring out fans.

Super location

The house is perfectly located for easy access to Avalon beach, restaurants and events, which works well for seniors and families with children.. Had read house was dated, however we found it has theme oriented decor that works well on Catalina Island . We certainly will stay there again.

Cannot beat the location of this little house. It’s close to everything!! Loved being able to walk everywhere easily. The house also had everything we needed. We will definitely be back. Had a great time.

We called the management the 2nd day we arrived to come and fix the pull out sofa and the TV in the living room and the TV in the bedroom. The remote for the TV in the LR never worked. The sofa bed never got fixed. the frame was broken so we couldn't use it at all to sleep on so that was a very frustrating. Other than that, the place was nice and loved the location. It was unusually hot and we were uncomfortably sweating each time we were in the house, even with the few fans.....maybe ceiling fans will help that problem considerable.

More beautiful than and relaxing then you can imagine!

It had to have been the coziest house I've been in!!! Long hallways gives the guest some privacy , the rooms are amazing, the decor is outstanding, it really shows that they are trying real hard to make you feel at home during your vacation! May get hot in summer time but the Dutch door helps alot! Plus you get to see friendly neighbors pass by and say hi! It's a must stay when you have Vons express about half a block away from you, and the beach about 2 blocks away! It is a small island so no matter where you are at everything is about 5 minutes away! Lol across the street is the library and sheriffs office plus a mini golf course!! Yes it's the house with the best LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!! Oh did I mention the tacos and margaritas spot also across the way!! Happy hour until 7pm $1 tacos(so delicious ) and half off margaritas! Man this house has it all! I'm so glad I booked it! I did forget to sign the guest book though! So here goes! 222 Catalina Ave.! You were truly great to us! Appreciate it! Thank you to the owners of this amazing property made me feel like a true resident of CATALINA ISLAND! Which made my vacation feel that much better! Book it don't let this pass you up! -sincerly JOSE JEREZ! Much love

Carpets or furniture haven't been cleaned in YEARS

So within 5 mins of being in the house my 4 year old takes of her shoes and socks cause that's what they do and her feet are black. They were so black I though she must have snuck outside so I washed her feet and within mins again her feet were black. The carpets were so dirty that we wore crocs or socks all week so our feet wouldn't get dirty. The couches and chair smelled so bad that we took extra sheets and covered them. The comforters haven't been washed in forever too, so we took those off and they had expired condiments in the refrigerator from Dec 2016 and the best was the 2 pieces of bacon left in the Forman grill that had to be months old. The list goes on and on so I will stop with the bashing. Pros was how close it was to the beach and Vons. We go to Catalina for 1 week every year and rent a home. We will not rent here again. It's sad because this property has a lot of potential if the owners would just invest some money back into the place we would be willing to pay more. Renters beware
