The house is very clean, nice and updated. The view is amazing! The neighborhood is very nice and quiet. We had a great time and would stay here again if we’re in the area!
This is my second time staying at this lovely, quiet water front home. This home has everything you might need. Bring your steaks for the grill, bathing suit for the hot tub, fishing rod and your favorite book. The beds are very comfortable and there is plenty of comfortable seating inside and out. This place will not disappoint.
The house and location are breathtaking. It is off the beaten path, but if you are looking for beauty, stargazing, birdwatching, peace and tranquility in a comfortable and well appointed setting, this is it.

Christmas 2023
We stayed here to celebrate Christmas and the arrival of my newborn baby into the family.
Very well equipped, clean home. The view is fantastic and the sunroom was lovely. The only thing you should be aware of, is there are no closets or hangers if you have dress clothes. There is a hall tree with a few hooks only.
Communication was great. House clean. Fully stocked: instapot, griddle, k cup and full pot coffee maker, towels, seasonings, oils, coffee, etc, shampoo and soap. We stayed sitting in the sun room watching the river. All new appliances and furniture.
First, I did not realize how far off the beaten path the property was; however, it wasn't a difficult or treacherous drive. Once arriving, it was well worth it. The property is immaculate and provided all the basic needs to cook and enjoy the amenities. The river is beautiful, and watching it from the sunroom happened daily. I will definitely look at this property when returning, hopefully it will be warmer but the firepit offered warmth and smores when sitting out back enjoying the river view.
Quick trip to VA for dad to visit with family and friends. House was clean, updated, well furnished, and sized right for the trip. Cool weather prevented our use of all outside amenities. Showers/bathrooms were small. Televisions took awhile before channels loaded for viewing. Price seemed very reasonable until they added all of the fees and taxes that almost doubled the cost. Would still use again if travel to Gloucester in future...especially if price was better.
The home was clean, and tidy when we arrived. Had all the essentials we needed for our stay. I didn't know it came with kitchenware, laundry detergent, shampoo & conditioner, and body soap. There were 2 fishing poles set up. I was amazed. The sunsets were remarkable. Fishing was great. We did come back from an outing and heard a loud noise coming from an outside vent. I texted the hostess and she was quick to respond. Nothing to worry about. A nice neighbor came by to check. It was the attic fan cooling the attic down. There is one minor detail that maybe the owner can replace the mattress in one of the bedrooms. It sinks in the middle. Still sleepable, but a tad uncomfortable. Overall stay, I recommend this place.
