Cozy home at the top of Ford Mountain overlooking Blue Ridge Mountains. Beautiful 180 degree view expanding over North and South Carolina, and Georgia. The house is conveniently located right between Clayton, Georgia and Highlands, North Carolina with easy drives both ways. In the surrounding forests, there are various different hikes with ranging views and difficulties. There are also many family activities nearby such as Scaly Mountain tubing and the Highlands Aerial Park. The Vineyard at High Holly is a 5 minute drive.

Amazing views! Great family getaway!

We truly loved our stay. Amazing sunrises but even the sunsets were easily enjoyed by simply walking to the front yard. Truly a mountain top experience. One one note of warning: the washer and dryer are very loud and should not be run early in the morning!

We were looking for a mountain getaway with our adult children and grandchildren. The view was what you would hope for. The hostess was concerned that all was just right. Overall, not fancy, but great and comfortable space for all.

We had five adults in our party. Loved the gorgeous views from deck. The location is great! Easy paved road into Highlands. The owner responded quickly to our need to fix the television. The only negative is the dryer has a belt loose I think. It is very noisy. We had a wonderful time.

Comfortable Mountain top house

Views were spectacular! Property was nice and met our needs. Plenty of room for four people. Very quiet and you felt like you were miles away from things when, really, you were only minutes from town. Steep and narrow roads but it is in the mountains. Adding some additional seating on the outside deck would be a nice extra.

Fabulous home in the mountains!

This home was perfect for our family ages 4-90! The place was stocked with all the little amenities you might like to have such as coffee and spices, games and books to make the stay a pleasure. And the owner was easy to reach!

Overall, the property was just so so. Uncomfortable beds, too few bath cloths, and an unpleasant odor in the house. Only reason I would consider this property again would be the views.

We could not have asked for a better vacation! The house was perfect, the weather was perfect, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time away. perfect family gathering place

This was a bit tough to find, on a single lane road, but what a view! 3 bedrooms and 2 baths on main floor, and 1 bedroom and bath downstairs. Perfect for all of us. We enjoyed the area very much and time spent together. Highly recommend. Owners were quick to respond. Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!

My family had an absolutely fabulous time in your home on the very top of Ford Mountain. The views were amazing and the sunrises were the best I've ever seen. We enjoyed fishing in the local streams and lakes and hiking the abundance of trails. So close to Highlands for shopping and entertainment, but far enough away to really make you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. We had the best time ever and can't wait to come back.

Wonderful Mountaintop Vacation !

This house was literally on top of Ford Mountain. A beautiful view from an extra large front deck. The accomodations were superb for 8 people. The large dining room table made for a great family meals and boardgame table. Loved the fireplace and TV setting. The owners are wonderful people and very service oriented. We will try to vacation here again in the future !

My husband and I bought this house in 2016 and fixed it up while we were building our vacation home next door. We are from West Palm Beach and both graduated from the University of Florida. We love this area and even got engaged up in the mountains of North Georgia!

What makes this property unique

This house is comfortable and very easy to live in. The best part about the house though is the deck and the view. Looking out over the Blue Ridge mountains is so peaceful and relaxing.
