Pictures do the property no justice! Beautiful home on an amazing piece of mountain paradise. The home itself was very clean upon our arrival, and included everything one would expect from a short term rental. The only item missing was an iron, in which they immediately delivered (legit within minutes!) a steamer to the cabin. The hosts were friendly & professional and receptive & responsive to any questions or concerns. Pro tip - secure any goodies & sweet treats in air tight containers. We made the self correcting error of leaving a box of donuts out, which were instantly invaded by sugar ants overnight. Even our cheese danish secured in the microwave wasn't safe from the hungry little task driven army! Once we corrected our mistake, we had no future insect incidents. We visited for a week while our son was at Cooperstown All-Star Village. It's about a 25-30 minute drive to the ballpark, but it's limited traffic and worth the drive to be tucked away from the hustle & bustle of the city. The creek on the property was a special little added bonus. 10/10 property AND hosts, highly recommend!

Beautiful house and land on Guilford Creek

Rosann and Wylie are great hosts. The house is lovely, comfortable, with everything necessary. When a minor problem arose, they responded quickly and fixed the problem. The creek behind is beautiful with a great swimming hole and lovely trails to hike. The house is conveniently located between Sidney and Oxford, with quick access to groceries etc. Chenango County is gorgeous with lots of great museums, including the historical society and car museum, the wonderful Rogers Environmental Education Center in Sherburne with 600 acres of trails and ponds, and the Chenango County fair was a blast.
