Great location, front porch was the spot to be. Nice view, rolling hills, beautiful sunsets. The house was dated, no updates I’ll just leave it at that.

Thank you for sharing your experience and for the kind words about the location, the front porch, and those sunset views over the rolling hills. The home is a cottage dating back to 1902, and we’ve made updates over the years while preserving its original character. We appreciate the feedback and will continue caring for the home with that balance in mind.

The location is perfect, close to the destination spots. House is very old, has a musty odor and sulfur smell to the water, and we noticed missing smoke detectors and a loose stair banister on the way upstairs. Would be nice to have 2 showers. Plenty of towels, dishes, great porch facing the lake. Fun to sit on anytime of day and play games, cards etc. Overall a very nice time.

We're so glad the location worked out well and that you enjoyed the porch overlooking the lake for games and card nights. The cottage is on a well, so we'll check into the sulfur smell when the hot water runs. All smoke detectors have been checked out, and we weren't aware the stair banister was loose, so thanks for bringing that to our attention, we'll check into it. Glad you had a nice time overall.

July on Crooked Lake

Great house with plenty of space. Nice touch with having beach towels available. The cornhole boards were an added bonus as well. We totally enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others

Great, turn of the century Michigan summer cottage for a large group. Really enjoyed it. Had to wash the master bed sheets and mattress pad because they smelled like musty sweat. After that all good. Easy to communicate with the owner when we needed. Highly recommended!
