This cabin is perfectly situated above the river and offered a peaceful retreat from our busy lives. We bundled up and enjoyed relaxing on the screen porch in the fresh air. Inside we found the cabin exactly as described. The wood interior lent itself well to the wooded setting and the interior appointments were full of the personal touches of a dwelling that is used and loved by it's owner, not some reality corporation out to just make money. David was fine host and communicated quickly. Our stay coudn't have been better!
Perfect gathering place for old friends. Flyfish the Mackenzie and hike in the forest. Beautiful setting for a classic cabin. One of our favorite places to stay.
Hi Nancy. Thank you for your positive response. Believe or not they expect 5's but I also understand we had some fire fallout that you had to deal with. Thank you for leaving the cabin so nice and clean.
This delightful cabin was perfect for our family of four, and we enjoyed our stay immensely! It is situated very close to the gorgeous McKenzie River and has loads of amenities. We used the fire pit for s’mores, the covered patio to listen to the river with warm beverages in the morning, and found the kitchen to be amply supplied. Our only criticism would be that we were only supplied two bath towels for our reservation of four and no hand soap in the bathrooms, which I imagine was just an oversight. We would not hesitate to book again, though, and would recommend this beautiful little cabin to anyone!
This is one of the nicest places we've stayed at, and the best value. The pictures don't do it justice. We were pleasantly surprised. It seems each cabin is owned by a different owner and maintained separately. We found nothing lacking in #10. They even had cling-wrap to store a cut watermelon in the refrigerator! They thought of the small stuff. Also the internet connection was great and we were able to watch our favorite shows using their ROKU and our login credentials. Outside, the property borders the McKenzie River which was outstanding. We spent many hours watching and listening to the river while talking with family who had rented a cabin near by. We couldn't have been happier with this rental.
A great “cabin” with excellent amenities. You can tell the owners care about their property and provide everything needed to enjoy the river. This was our second time and we plan to return
This attractive, roomy cottage has everything. All new appliances, hardwood floors, tastefully decorated, and the perfect location. Lovely landscaping, patio with barbecue, and screened in porch. The kitchen is filled with all the pots and pans you would ever need. It is very peaceful and we would happily stay here again.
Very nice place. Cabin was clean and very enjoyable. Had a little trouble with getting the place to warm up but the heat blower in the 1st floor Bath room was magnificent. There aren't many, if any places to dine out for breakfast, we couldn't find any. All in all The only down side is there is no parking by the cabins because the access is just a fire road. The only parking area is a few minutes walk from the cabins so rain gear might be required, It was for us. All in all we would stay there again
What a fabulous cabin on the river. It was so serene and just what I needed. My brother loved Blue River and we can see why. Thank you Dave for your hospitality!
Outstanding location, I came with the intention of relaxing and "checking out" which it was perfect for. This cabin has got to be the best location on site, I spent hours on the patio listening to the river! The kitchen is so well stocked, anything you could need to cook is there. Downstairs bed was very comfortable and I made use of the oil diffuser, which was a nice touch.
My only suggestion is that it would be nice to have a binder with a bit more information about the property, procedures, things to do in the surrounding area, etc. As I was there for a full week, I was unsure of what to do with the garbage and am used to nightly rentals requiring you to strip the beds, take out the trash, etc. The stay was lovely and I'd definitely book this cabin again in an instant!
We had the most peaceful three days in this beautiful setting. We are two writers who decided we needed a working retreat and this cabin was perfect. The sound and view of the river was inspiring. Our only issue was with the parking situation. We didn’t know from the website that we would have to “hike” from the parking lot to the cabin. Luckily people are able to unload/load at the cabin before moving the car. But for those with mobility issues, the walk could be a problem. We plan to come back here in the summer for another retreat—we just won’t bring quite so much extra stuff with us! The cabin was well-stocked with spices and other staples and paper products. The furniture was very comfortable and inviting. Really a wonderful experience!
The place was beautiful and so peaceful and relaxing.

What makes this property unique
Right on the McKenzie River with a patio area accessed by rear screen door. There is nothing between you and the river except grass and trees. Unobstructed view of the beautiful Mckenzie River
