Second stay, everything my group needed was there. If you have a golf group for Tokatee and need a great place right on the river and 3 minutes from the course, this is it!
A piece of hearts will remain at the Rillerah River cabin forever! We loved every moment staying in this well preserved 70’s cabin right on the McKenzie river. We are so grateful for the stay!
Jaw dropping property and cabin, photos don’t do it justice. Everything was wonderful aside from a few minor issues that management was very responsive to. Thanks for accommodating our dog last minute! Only real suggestion would be to add a WiFi amplifier so that the signal reaches all parts of the cabin and front porch.
This is our second visit to Rillerah. The home is comfortable, clean and inviting. We celebrated Christmas with family that lives in the area. The kitchen and supplies are well stocked. We will definitely be back!
This is our second stay in the Rillerah and it was magical as always. The location cannot be beat and instantly allows you to relax and let go of all your worries. Communication is fantastic, location is great. It’s just perfect and you’ll never want to leave.
We were a group of geology professors and students doing volcanologic fieldwork nearby. This house was an ideal location to serve as a base for that work.
We stayed 11 days at the lovely Rillerah! The river was super close, and fun to try and catch fish!
We cooked most all of our meals in the well equipped kitchen.
The beds and linens were comfortable.
Other places we've stay were wildfire casualties, so we were very pleased to find the Rillerah and hope to return again next year! Thanks Terry and Mike.
Amazing location, river and views. Master bedroom to die for. The house was beautiful and well equipped. We loved the patio to sit and hang out in. Overall great stay. The wifi was spotty but we figured out the issue after calling the property manager.

So glad you enjoyed your stay here at the Rillerah! Thank you for your kind words!
The river is right next to the house! Wonderful to hear it all day and night. The house is lovely with comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms, and huge windows looking out over the river. Everything is well stocked and clean. And, the covered porch and picnic area are fabulous. We’ll stay again in a heartbeat!
This was a great spot for two families of four to enjoy a week on the McKenzie River. We were able to do a day float from Frissel, leave our boats in the water at the house and go down the river to Finn Rock the next day.
The dining room and porch were fantastic for hanging out and watching the river. With plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked for making meals.
We overall really enjoyed our time at Rillerah
My family and I really enjoyed the place. Listening to the river and the rain gave me the best sleep in a long time. Out of the way enough to enjoy the forest and relax; but close enough to Bend and Eugene for fun. Check out the last Blockbuster in the World in Bend, Oregon.
The house is located on a secluded lot right on the McKenzie River. It literally lulls you to sleep at night. The home is extremely comfortable and well stocked. I stayed with 8 members of my fly fishing club and every one loved the amenities and location of the home with everyone agreeing that we would like to stay there again. Two things that we noticed that need attention. The first being that the necessary pages of instructions for the wood stove in the living room were missing from the book, I believe pages 19-22. The second issue was the water. The water smells and tastes bad. We tried letting it run to see if there was an issue with the pipes but it didn’t help. It’s all the faucets upstairs and down. When someone took a shower the entire bathroom smelled and you didn’t really feel or smell clean. After the first day we cooked with and drank bottled water. People limited their showers as well. I hope that the water issue can be addressed. Again, the home is comfortable and someone put a lot of thought into making sure that guests have everything they need. We would definitely recommend the home and hope to stay here again. It is close to a store, restaurants and gas station. There is ample space for 1/2 dozen vehicles. Truly a beautiful home.

Jill, Thank you for your comments and your appreciation of the Rillerah. Our apologies about the water situation. We have learned that the well level is closely tied to the river level, which has been unusually low this year. Out of concern, we have had the water tested and verified it is safe. Thank you again.
Beautiful setting, peaceful, private. House exterior in decent shape. Interior space with lovely wood floors, walls and ceilings. Furniture is oldish, but comfortable. There are beautiful antique furniture pieces in all rooms and lamps everywhere, as well as interesting artwork, artifacts and memorabilia on the walls. The house does have some low spots, natural settling I would guess, that can make you list to one side when walking in certain areas. My major criticism would be that the bathrooms, and the kitchen, need major overhauling. The kitchen desperately needs a new refrigerator and oven. The drawers were so junky with utensils that it was hard to find what you needed. Also, even though the house has WiFi, the signal was weak in the living room and almost nonexistent on the beautiful patio. An inexpensive WiFi extender would fix that. One last thing. The house is on septic and, unfortunately, the water didn’t smell great at times. That seemed to resolve the more the water was circulated with use. Despite the above criticisms, I would rent this house again, due to the location, privacy, and many outdoor activities close by.
Our 2nd visit to this wonderful property was as fabulous as our first. The river and the cabin are absolutely magical. We hope to come back many more times!
This is the second time we have stayed here.
Love this beautiful vintage home and with the river racing by only yards from the house, it is truly magical. We will be back!
Our family of 7 had a wonderful stay at this cozy house/cabin. It was well stocked for cooking and relaxing. Wonderful beds and ambiance; gorgeous Mackenzie River so close you could almost feel it! Would definitely stay again!
We had such a wonderful relaxing time! The location on the river is breathtaking. The vintage home is charming and supplied everything we needed to enjoy this special place. We’ll be back!!
This would be a great spot for a summer or winter get away. The house has four bedrooms and three bathrooms. That is a dream come true! It was comfy and cozy during our four day stay over Thanksgiving weekend. I cannot give this property enough praise! Everything was just perfect!
