A lovely and stylish converted barn with a king size bed and sofa bed that accommodates 4 people.
The barn is light, has amazing views, a log burner and a Soho Farmhouse feel, with fibre broadband and underfloor heating. You can also rent three stables and two paddocks, so you can endure holidaying with your horses too.
The barn is self contained (Private front entrance) and is attached to our family home. We are on the edge of the village with far reaching rural views from the barn windows - you cannot see another building over the valley. There are numerous walks and bridle ways to enjoy exploring the beautiful countryside.
The barn has been renovated to a high standard. There is under floor heating, fibre wifi, power shower, large separate bath, and a king size pocket sprung bed with Egyptian cotton sheets. There is a log burning stove, a comfortable Sofa.com sofa bed (so we can sleep 4) and armchair in the sitting room and a boot room for wet coats and wellies. Dogs are welcome to sleep in there also, but please no dogs on furniture or in the bedroom. Please try and keep all mud to the boot room.
There is a kitchenette (combi microwave / grill oven, fridge, hob, toaster and kettle) with basic supplies and small dining table (for four). There is also a television with Netflix and Google Home wifi speaker. There is no large oven, dish washer, washing machine or dryer.
We can arrange a high chair if you wish.
The bathroom has a large separate power shower and large bath. There is plenty of wardrobe and storage space in the bedroom.
There is a private terrace with a table and chairs for four people. Your terrace accesses looks out over our large garden and then leads onto our paddocks. We do ask you to remain on the terrace at the rear and not to use the main house’s garden, although you have free access to our 5 acres of paddocks (accessed via the footpath next to the barn) and the footpaths and bridleways heading from them.
Three stables and 5 acres of paddocks are also available to rent with the barn - please contact the owners for pricing as these are extra.
Located in an idyllic village of Burdrop (walk to the pub) in the north Cotswolds rolling hills. Burdrop is linked with Sibford Ferris and Sibford Gower - all within walking distance. We are surrounded by farmland and woods, much of which is filled with livestock. You are likely to see two or three species of deer, kites and a range of wildlife on your local walks.
There is a village shop and post office, plus The Wykham Arms - our thatched pub that does lovely food, beer and wine.
Easy access to Great Tew (Soho Farmhouse - 15 mins), Chipping Norton, Kingham (Daylesford Farm Shop and spa - 15 mins), Banbury, Woodstock, Oxford and other beautiful Cotswold villages.
There is a bus that passes through the village but really you need a car or bike. A bike is a great way to explore but it is hilly.
We are 15 minutes from Banbury train station if coming by train.
Walking, cycling, horseriding round the lanes and numerous bridleways and footpaths is a fantastic way to spend the day.
There is off street parking at the front of the house for you. If you are bringing horses, there is separate access through our fields off Hawks Lane - you can park vehicles on the hardcore track during your stay.
