This property has a fantastic location and local to all amenities

I have stayed at this property for two years on the trot now and can not fault it. It has lots of character and is spacious but cosy at the same time.

Wonderful location, cottage full of character.

Wonderful stay. Small double beds made sleeping difficult. Great location very close to beach and shops. Would 100% come again if beds could be bigger.

Great character home in fab location of town and beautiful safe beach. Easy walking access to everywhere, friendly town, some lovely restaurants like sardine factory, smugglers cott and the coddy shack. Family had a great time helped by 26 degree sunshine everyday.

Centrally located in lovely Cornish town

We had a lovely week in this delightful and well maintained cottage which slept 9. A bit on the tight side downstairs if fully occupied but great for a family. Shame about the seagulls - the noise and the mess!

Perfect holiday cottage experience

We had an absolutely lovely stay in this beautiful, characterful cottage. It was perfectly placed for wondering around town and down to the sea and coastal walks. The house had everything we needed, looked amazing, and the owners were lovely and so helpful. It was a fabulous holiday and we were all very sad to leave Lantau Cottage!

Beautiful well supplied cottage which is very well situated.

Brilliant few days away with family, was made a lot easier with the situation and well supplied and beautiful cottage. It has all you need in the surrounding area and it is a stones throw away from the beach, shops, harbour and pubs. There is plenty of space at the cottage with 6 bed rooms and has a very spacious living room and dining area. I would definitely stay there again.

Fantastic Cottage

We loved this cottage. So well equipped, so comfortable, so close to the beach and with an enchanting history! What a treat to stay in such a great place. The highlight was over-hearing a guided walking tour group stop outside and explain the history and the ship's mast. I felt hugely privileged to be staying in the cottage.

Awesome location

Easy check in process. Great communication with owner (Who actually send back belongings left behind at the house). Near the ocean and shops and crab fishing and fishing expeditions. Would recommend to others looking for a quaint house with history and charm.

Lovely holiday

Once again we enjoyed a lovely holiday as a family spanning three generations! The property is excellently located being of equal distance to the beach and harbour, both only a short walk away. Beautiful cottage in great location.

We had a wonderful week's holiday with the family in Lantau Cottage, an old and beautiful property with excellent accommodation and very well equipped. The location was great; in the middle of the old town and only two minutes from the beach. It was good to have two car parking spaces, one of which was right by the beach where buckets and spades, sunshades, etc., could be stored in the boot of the car. I would highly recommend this property.

Excellent location and great property

Right where you want to be. You are already where others park a good distance away to get to and this is the great benefit. The house is just history and hundreds of years of it. Quite wonderful.

Great holiday house in the centre of Looe

Just spent a wonderful week in this lovely Elizabethan house in the charming town of Looe. We were five budding authors and one acclaimed published author who together drew much inspiration from this characterful historic house and the neighbouring surrounds. The house was very well presented, clean and comfortable. Lots of attention to detail with quality linens and towels. We highly recommend this fine property and would love to come back.

so convenient and characterful

we were very comfortable in this delightful old house - children loved it - and adults especially appreciated the comfortable beds, nice linen and lots of hot water. It is ideally situated for a family holiday and felt very safe which is important. My only slight niggle would be that the soft furnishings in the sitting room are looking a little tired.

A charming piece of history.

Holding my breath as I entered Landau Cottage, we were all immediately charmed by the ancient wooden beams and white painted walls. We felt transported back in history. We appreciated the house being well fitted with modern bathrooms and a kitchen which was also well equipped.

Family vacation in Looe.

We loved the location and the old world charm of the cottage. Dilly was most helpful when we had problems with the wifi and with suggestions where to eat and things to do. However, the four adults in our party did not sleep well as the beds were too firm. Also, the soft furnishings are in need of an update as they are a bit tired. Overall we had an enjoyable stay at Lantau Cottage.

Many thanks for your feedback and we're really glad you enjoyed your stay at Lantau Cottage. We're sorry that you found the mattresses too hard. Most of the beds have high quality 2000 pocket sprung orthopaedic matresses which tend to be more firm than standard continuous spring or foam matresses. These tend to offer better support and are more comfortable (cooler) when its warmer but are not to everyone's taste. We've recently replaced all of the bed linen and some of the soft furnishings and will be updating more over the coming months. We're glad that Dilly was able to help fix the wifi - we've now replaced the 'box' with a new and faster version. A big thank-you for choosing to stay at Lantau from everyone on the team.

Excellent property in a charming location

This property suited us very well as it is perfectly situated in the heart of Looe just a few hundred yards from the sandy beach. We are a family of 7 very tall adults and although some ducking around the beams was required, everyone really enjoyed the beautifully furnished and well appointed property. We cooked for ourselves every night but it had everything we needed, even a whisk for the Eton Mess! There was plenty to keep us occupied, coastal walks, swimming in the sea, boat trip to Polperro, adrenaline quarry and a day out in Foye.
