Enjoy swimming in our heated in ground pool May- September. It’s shared with us, or if you prefer, bask in the sun at one of Woodstock’s natural swimming holes. Great hiking & biking nearby too. Perfect privacy, nature, mountain views on a ten acre property . pets under 20lbs welcome. Woodstock has wonderful music venues too. Levon Helm’s Rambles are still going . A true night to remember !

I had a family vacation with my daughter and granddaughter at this property. It was wonderful! Lovely cottage with large central room. Beautiful woods surrounding it. The pool was perfect! Comfortably heated, with fun pool accessories- noodle, raft, ball. Quiet but just minutes to town for excellent dining! We loved it!!!

Woodland Getaway

The rainy weather at the beginning of our trip didn't ruin our experience of this cozy cabin in the woods. We were rewarded with two full days of fun in the sun at the pool. Property was perfect for a family of four. We enjoyed exploring Woodstock and appreciated the restaurant recommendations from Ike. Overall a great experience.

Peaceful Retreat

This property was better than advertised. It was the perfect size and layout for our family of three. There were windows facing all angles showing the beauty of the woods outdoors. Tea and delicious fresh baked muffins were left for us to enjoy-what a special touch! Very close to town, and everything that was needed was at hand. What an enjoyable, relaxing weekend.

Heavenly Stay

The Sunset Cottage was everything that we hoped it would be. The main space is airy and cozy with a great open kitchen. We cooked most of the time. The beds are sooo comfy with the softest sheets I have felt for a long time. And when we checked in the whole space was very clean. The pool is awesome and surrounded by nature. One morning as I was floating, a fawn ran around the gated pool area a few times and then danced around right outside the gate! The pool is shared with the owners and guests that rent their studio, but we had the pool to ourselves at least half the time. And there are plenty of comfortable lounge chairs and umbrellas for everyone. The owners are on the property, one driveway over and they are right there to help with questions or problems (wi-fi went down and was fixed asap) but they also leave you to your privacy. We will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful time at your place. It was just what we needed. The house was cozy for our girl family “get away” We hung in our first night and played games. The house was clean and comfortable. The location to town was just a few minutes. Ike was available when needed and super friendly. Super cute place!

Peaceful cottage just outside of town

This was an excellent option for staying in Woodstock. Having booked without knowing the town we were delighted that the cottage was a a short drive and situated in a quite area with beautiful views. We particularly enjoyed the visit from deer in the mornings. Ike was incredibly helpful and knows all about the local area. A fantastic place to stay.

We had a great time. Our kids loved it. They actually put down their devices to explore plants,the woods and all the beautiful things around the property. This is a very private oasis nestled on a mountainside, yet only a few minutes drive to Woodstock, with all its restaurants and shops. The pool is a complete delight! The house is very comfortable and well-kept. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

All the amenities and a great location

Our family of four enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing late-summer getaway at Sunset Cottage. Our kids loved the pool and riding bikes near the property and on the incredible bike path (closed to auto traffic) at nearby Ashokan Reservoir. With towels (bath and pool) and sheets provided, wifi, and fully appointed kitchen, plus a washer/dryer (key for swimsuits and pool towels), we felt quite pampered. The quiet and secluded location was just what we were looking for, yet close to town (good restaurants) and nearby hikes and bike rides. Lots more to explore next time we are in the area.

Great stay!

Ike was very responsive and easy to get a hold of at anytime during the rental process. The house and property was gorgeous and the pool was awesome. It rained when we were there and Ike generously let us take advantage of the pool upon our checkout since we didn't get a chance to use it earlier in the weekend. All around awesome! Looking forward to coming back again!

As good as it gets!

Can't say enough about my stay at Sunset Cottage! Six stars if I could... To start, the house was emaculate. My wife and son had more space than we do at home, not to mention the space was incredibly well kept and clean. We were provided fresh linens and towels upon arrival, along with an incredibly warm greeting from the hosts Ike and Carole. The pool was private and refreshing -- the perfect accessory to a weekend getaway. Unfortunately we were only able to spend a long weekend there (we could've spent months), but I'm counting down the days until our next visit to Sunset Cottage in beautiful Woodstock, New York!

Wonderful Woodstock Rental

This Woodstock cottage is superb. Ike and Carole the hosts are extremely helpful, knowledgable, and accommodating. We were two couples and the cottage was extremely comfortable for us. Everything was updated and renovated allowing all the comforts of home. We took hikes, swam in the large pool, strolled around Woodstock and even visited the Monastary. I would recommend this to everyone for a weekend get away or a week long vacation. We hope to come back and see its beauty in the winter.

Amazing!

My husband and I needed to get away from the city and let me tell you this was the perfect place! Ike and Carole (the owners) greeted us to make sure we were settled in and to give us tips on things to do and where to eat. The house was perfect! Amazingly clean, light and airy. Top of the line kitchen. Pizza delivery - YUMMY! We brought our 2 dogs and there are 2 dog parks less than 10 mins away. The town of woodstock is 5 mins away by car and we had a blast. The pool at the house was spotless and lovely. Our vacation was amazing. I can't wait to go back. Also, on the day it rained Ike made sure to text with things to do in town. We had fun at the flea market and an amazing dinner at Joshua's! Thank you Ike and Carole for making our stay such a wonderful treat! Best, Kristine and Miles

Beautiful, relaxing paradise!

My husband and I just got back from a wonderful weekend at sunset cottage. Peaceful, serene and gorgeous scenery. It was a beautiful escape from the city. Ike, the owner, was incredibly friendly, helpful and nearby if anything at all was needed. The cottage was clean, spacious and had absolutely everything we needed. The in-ground pool was an excellent added bonus. This was surely an AMAZING find and we can't wait to plan our next visit back! Thank you so much Ike and Carol!!!

What a find!!

We love exploring the countryside and getting out of the city. Woodstock is such a charming town with lots of atmosphere and cultural activities. We always used to day trip as we could never find the right kind of accommodations. There are no Hotels in the town and the B&B's are not exactly the right fit for our style and taste. We then found Sunset Cottage ....a stunning property located on ten acres with Mountain Views in one of the most prestigious areas of Woodstock. . Just the perfect balance of nature, luxury, refinement, and the hosts are just amazing at customizing your stay. We felt "at home" at Sunset Cottage, the MOST comfortable queen size beds, and there is even a separate studio (additional cost) if you have a large party. Their are other houses that we mapped that said "Woodstock" but were actually miles away. We have already booked another visit and will just return here time and time again. Cant wait for the heated in-ground pool...

Peaceful/ private house/ on 10 acres/ shared pool (w/ us..) Pool is exclusively for the use of our guests only. If you are looking for a party atmosphere, this is not the house for you! We request a quiet peaceful vibe.
Hiking/ biking/ swimming/ skiing in winter/ and just 3 minutes from the town of Woodstock. Ice skating nearby "year round!" Great for one or two couples/
a writer, musician, artist or family. We have many return visitors who love to be close to town but not in the middle of the noise and traffic. We are located mountain top with great views, just 3 minutes from Woodstock. Many listing say Woodstock and are really in other towns!
IF WE ARE BOOKED ALREADY BOOKED, CHECK OUR OTHER LISTING - it's a large lovely studio ( see comments from other guests) perfect for 2 persons or a small family.
