If you fish, this is the place for you. The lake has musky, panfish, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, northern pike, walleye, sturgeon and catfish. It's a quiet lake during the week and an active one on the weekends. There are 5 waterfront restaurants/bars on the lake that you can boat right up to. If you want a day off the lake, take a tour of the historic Leinenkugel Brewery or visit Irvine Park Zoo. Both are just 10 minutes from the lake. Don't forget your golf clubs and bike. There is a public golf course on the lake and the area features great bike trails. This is also the perfect winter get-a-way for winter sports lovers: great ice fishing, snowmobiling, ice skating, and cross country skiing!
