Peaceful, private 4 BR, 3 BA (sleeps 10 comfortably, up to 12) south of Rte 28 at the end of a dead-end road abutting conservation forest with pond access and views from deck of large Skinequit Pond: great for swimming, paddle boarding or kayaking (use of our paddle board, kayak and canoe included). Walk, bike or car to Red River Beach (less than 1/2 mile from our home) one of Harwich's finest beaches with plenty of parking, bathrooms and a food. truck. 3 finished floors of living space. Central air, awesome large, sun-filled outdoor shower and large deck. Fire pit patio area. High speed internet, HDTV cable, gas grill, washer & dryer. CC Bike Trail is a 10 min. bike ride away. 5 min. drive to downtown Harwichport, 10 min. drive to downtown Chatham.

Great location, great host

What a great spot ... close to beach, golf, shopping, etc. and being right on the pond is an extra bonus: not a lot of Cape houses offer all that. Host was great, fast and responsive. Would love to stay here again!

Great cape vacation

We had a wonderful stay at the cape house! The location was great, super short bike ride to the beach, steps down the path to the pond, and a quiet dead end street where my daughter actually learned to ride her bike with no training wheels! The house is adorable, a little dated in some areas but nicely updated in others, and the outdoor shower is amazing after a sandy, sweaty day at the beach. Everything we needed was there for us, including pond/beach gear. The host, Scott, was also super nice and quickly responded to any questions we had.

Excellent Cape Retreat

This home was so fantastic that we are looking forward to returning next year! The location was unbeatable for our family. Located within walking distance to the beach with a gorgeous pond in the backyard! Our kids spent many hours fishing off the dock and riding in the the provided canoe and kayak. The home had what looked to be newly renovated bathrooms and kitchen (which were beautiful). Plenty of sleeping space with a bunk room for the kids! Communication with the owner was excellent. Highly recommend.

Perfect Location - Very Comfortable

This house is extremely nice with updated kitchen and bathrooms. Very clean and loved the outside deck with the view of the water. Central air was very much appreciated.

Fabulous stay close to beach and access the pond was a bonus.

We really enjoyed our stay. House is in a great location to paddle board, canoe or khaki in the pond or a short walk to the beach. House is very clean and came with everything we needed. Great hosts as well. I hope we will be back again next year.

We have loved Cape Cod summers since childhood and opened up our quintessential summer retreat in Harwich for renting a few weeks each summer.

Why they chose this property

We love this unique spot on the Cape. Located south or Rte 28, it's a cross between the tranquility of a NH lake house - tucked quietly next to Skinequit Pond and conservation forest land at the end of a quiet street - and situated conveniently down the road from one of Harwich's finest, long stretch beaches, Red River Beach, with lots of parking, public bathrooms and a food truck during the summer.
