Enjoy our happy place at Pajaro Dunes Resort. Just steps to the sand. 2 bedroom condominium in the gated Shorebirds complex at Pajaro Dunes. Perfect for 2 couples or a small family beach getaway. Our condo faces Monterey perfect for enjoying sunrises.

2 Bedroom, 2 bath with a California King in the master suite and a Queen with a Twin Bunk Bed in the guest bathroom. We recently updated our fireplace in our living room to a new electric fireplace to enjoy during the chilly evenings and mornings listening to the sounds of the ocean.

Spend family fun playing Pickle Ball, tennis or basketball with courts located on site. Stop by our lobby where we offer an assortment of loaner sports equipment for our renters including pickle ball sets!

Enjoy miles of untouched shoreline, collect seashells and sand dollars. or Roast s'mores in the evenings. A true coastal escape on the Monterey Bay.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Return furniture to its original location. Close all window coverings. Turn off all appliances and heaters. After loading the dishwasher, please do not leave any dishes behind in the sink.
Remove all recycling from home to outside bins.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No Shoes in the home.No Pets Allowed $250 Per Day if pet found.No Smoking on Patio Decks. $250 fine.Allowed in designated areas.Quiet Time 10pm - 8am.
Guest list required for visiting guests. Put any used towels in washing machine, but do not start the cycle. Return furniture to original position.

Great property. We were there during a quiet and cool weekend. The beach was excellent for playing and walking and not crowded at all. Close enough to town too get Uber eats. And not a bad driver to Monterey.

I love how close the beach access is. The community is very clean and quiet and really makes you feel at home. This was out first real family vacation and it was absolutely perfect. We will definitely be coming back again.

Lovely rental

The property was spotless and decorated beautifully. There isn't an ocean view, but still nice being on the dunes. We were very comfortable there. I am very particular with cleanliness and I was VERY impressed with how immaculate the house is kept. The only mild negative is the dryer vent needs to be maintained - I tried to wash one load and it took three full 60-minute dryer cycles to dry one load. I recommend this unit!!

Spring Break Beach Getaway

The unit is close to the beach. I traveled with an elderly mom and the was perfect. 20 steps away from the beach with a few stairs to walk down. The unit was updated and clean. The bathrooms had a high step and was a challenging for the toddler and my mom. Parking was easy and accessible. Parking lot to unit was perfect because we were at a ground level unit. Sea otters were seen in the ocean. Bonfires at night made happy memories for all of us.

No View of Beach and Mattress was old & terrible

It was a huge disappointment to say the least. We looked forward to seeing a beautiful view of the beach but instead had a great view of a dune obstructing the entire view of the beach. And to make matters worse, the mattress needed to be replaced bigtime! The springs were well over used where it felt lopsided and my husband couldn't sleep. Therefore moved to one of the bunk beds which killed any romance whatsoever. The advertisement was misleading and overpriced for what was offered. Very unfortunate experience. On a positive note, we both loved the clean, upgraded shower in the guest bathroom.

Affordable Pajaro Dunes Option

Our 5th summer visit at Pajaro Dunes. We knew going into the visit that we wouldn't get the ocean view but still missed it. Just how it goes. Good furniture setup inside and everything is comfortable. Easy access to beach. Well stocked with dishes, bowls, baking and cooking supplies. Only had salt and pepper and oil available. Patio area is large. Missed the beach goodies that are usually provided in other units. Really was needing Tupperware, bags, saran wrap for leftovers. There was an espresso maker that looked amazing but we couldn't find anything (pods) at the grocery store that worked in it. TV was difficult to figure out with no instructions for use. Dryer took three cycles to dry one load. Overall, we got a great deal with this unit and were able to stay for 5 nights making for a wonderful family vacation. You really cannot go wrong at Pajaro Dunes.

We loved this property and really would love a chance to return. The only critic we have is that the wicker furniture needs to be replaced as it seems to be a bit musky and we would have loved it if the popcorn ceilings had been removed throughout the property as they tend to hold the moisture from the sea and produce a musky smell throughout the unit. Otherwise it was a comfortable and wonderful experience. We highly recommend!

Construction

The property was perfect. The problem was the first morning at 8;00 AM we awoke to the sounds of construction. We were aware there was some but were told it was in another section. They did send a nice gift basket but it was very disappointing as the property was not inexpensive to rent.
