Our Lakeside Happy Place is just the medicine you need to rejuvenate your life. Located in beautiful East Tennessee, Our Lakeside Happy Place is in the heart of a community that promotes a healthy mind and body. Tellico Lake is the lakeway to the Smokies!
The multi-million dollar Wellness Center is less than 1 mile away, where you can swim in the 6 lane, 25 yard indoor swimming pool. Soak those aches and pains away and relax in the heated therapy pool. Take a fitness class, work out alone in the fitness center or join others on a nature hike along the Little Tennessee River. Take out a book at the Village library and spend the day inside relaxing.
Start your day taking in the fresh Smoky Mountain air on the Lake doing sunrise yoga on at the Yacht Club, take an afternoon tennis or Tai Chi lesson and finish up the evening on the peaceful and private screened in porch. Connect to nature watching local wildlife from the secluded comforts of our “blissful treehouse” while a southern breeze blows by. Never set your alarm! Wake up to the soft melody of the neighborhood church bells.

We stayed here for six nights and absolutely loved it! The place was clean, cozy and felt very homey the moment we walked in. Everything was well kept, and it was a really comfortable space to relax and unwind. The hosts were fantastic, super responsive, friendly, and clearly care about their guests. Communication was easy and quick, which we really appreciated! The beds deserve a special mention because they were incredibly comfortable. I honestly didn’t want to get up in the mornings! Overall, a wonderful place to stay, and we’d happily recommend it to anyone!Thank you Michele and Alissa!!

We enjoyed our stay very much! It was quiet and clean. We didn’t use the pool… just enjoyed relaxing in the house and on the screened in porch. It was the perfect distance from our friends that we were there to visit. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay there again!! :))

Checking out Tellico Village as a retirement option

Property was centrally located and perfect for getting a feel for Tellico Village. Highly recommend this house as a place for relaxing and being close to the amenities of Tellico Village.

Cute and Cozy

This was truly our home away from home. We stayed here for 1.5 months while we house hunted. Michelle was a wonderful host. The home was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. I so enjoyed the sweet symphony of birds chirping every morning too, it was nature’s orchestra indeed.

Michele and Alissa made sure that their “Lakeside Happy Place” became mine and my husband’s “Lakeside Happy Place”. The outdoor features on their place make this home very relaxing and refreshing - fire pit area, outdoor porch area and a screened-in porch area. The kitchen has all of the necessities for cooking meals: pots, pans, cooking utensils, etc. The open concept of the house (kitchen, dining area, and living area) is very comfortable and quite large. Communication with Michele and Alissa was excellent - they were very attentive to our questions and response time was quick. My husband I were very pleased with our stay - while there it did become our “Happy Place”!

Good Time

My wife and I stayed a month at this property. We enjoyed our stay. The best aspects of the property were the screened in porch, the video games, the decor and the communication with the owners.

Peace and Quite

Tellico Village is a beautiful area with mountains and lakes! It's conveniently located to many recreational areas. This property is very private, clean and well stocked. You can tell that the owners take a lot of pride in this property. We were blessed every evening with the presence of a beautiful Doe and her two Fawns. We would definitely rent here again.

Peaceful, quite location yet convenient

The 2 bed room cottage was just as described and worked well for my wife and I. open concept, screened in deck for quite morning coffee facing the woods. It was very clean and well maintained. Could use a few minor conveniences - a coffee pot for coffee drinkers (not a fan of K-cups), hangers in the closets, a few more cooking utensils/pans (we donated a non-stick and from Dollar General). We would certainly stay there again...

Beautiful home small bedroom

Beautiful home, enjoyed the deck, but the main bedroom was so small we could barely walk between the bed and the tiny dresser, let alone open the dresser. We used the 2nd small bedroom as a closet. The bathroom also extremely small with very little storage or counter area and the shower curtain was filthy . The owner kept the real MB locked, so only the other tiny bedrooms available.

The kitchen had everything you might need for cooking . Plenty of dishes and cups. The house itself is surrounded by lovely forest and eventhough a new house is getting builds behind the one, it’s on a lower grade and hardly noticeable. Great walking neighborhood. We were packing a lot of luggage since we are moving and waiting for our new home completion. You should know that the 3rd and master bedroom to this house is locked and not part of the rental. The two remaining bedrooms are small; we used the room with twin beds for our luggage. The queen bed is tired and could use a new mattress. Bathroom is very clean and has very nice towels.

Tellico Village VRBO

Upon arrival we pulled up and the outside of the house and yard was needing help, and things looked a little run down. We had a problem with the drain in the tub/shower not draining and backing up while showering, we contacted Michelle and she got a Plummer to resolve the problem the next day and we greatly appreciated that. We wish there had been an ice maker, we were quite surprised to have only 2 ice trays that we had to refill. Very nice to have a washer and dryer for use along with laundry supplies. Lighting was poor , bedrooms and living rooms had dim lights. It would have been nice to have a dresser and mirror in the bedroom for a place to put on makeup/ do hair if bathroom was in use. The outdoor screened porch is really nice and has a lot of privacy.

Not so hidden gem…

Tellico Village in Loudon is a beautiful community with immaculately manicured properties & million dollar homes. This property is in dire need of exterior maintenance. Downed branches, leaves, decor, weeds, unkept lawn, the fire pit area is unusable as the four plastic chairs are covered in pollen and mildew plus there’s poison ivy on the gravel patio. The back trex deck has lifted boards which pose a trip hazard and the aluminum patio furniture is damaged which could lead to an injury; there are no cushions nor are there stairs leading to the upper screened in porch or en-suite deck. To access the fire pit or lower patio you must walk around the house. The screened in porch is in need of a good scrubbing; no lake views in July. Spider webs abound, bar stool seats are all ripping and a solid layer of pollen/dust covers everything. There is a comfy set of chairs and couch beneath the ceiling fan although no exterior porch illumination; both lightbulbs blown and no extras. The en-suite wood deck contains a Weber charcoal grill which is nice but given the potential for a fire, we doused the wood deck flooring & railings in water before grilling. Do not recommend small child on this deck as the cables should be tightened. The interior of the home contains three bedrooms and two bathrooms; in need of deep cleaning. Smells old & musty. The kitchen is well stocked. Linens should be replaced as they are stained. POSITIVELY NO SMOKING you’re on camera.
Upon arrival stove was filthy. Owner had cleaned next day.
Ripped barstool seats on screened in porch.
Popped Rusty nail on en-suite deck. Husband used rock to nail down.
Broken ac vent cover in dining area and kitchen offset from sink.

Nice place once it was cleaned

We arrived at the property, nice area and view. Once inside we noticed the home hadn’t been cleaned. The bathroom and shower were dirty. Kitchen was dirty, old food and milk over a month old in refrigerator . Stove was filthy with grease. Bed linen’s hadn’t been changed. Contacted the owner who was very apologetic and said she would get her cleaning company out as soon as possible. We went to dinner and came back to the cleaning person still cleaning. We didn’t want to get in her way so we stayed outside ( 40 degrees out). She finally finished at 9:30pm. She said we wouldn’t be responsible for the cleaning fee when we left the house. We contacted the owner and told her that the cleaning person said we would not be responsible for the cleaning fee which was great. We said that we didn’t feel we should have to pay for the first night since the house was dirty and we were inconvenienced. The owner said no, but did offer us an additional nights stay. Unfortunately we had a flight to catch and jobs to return to. One of her text comments was that “this not a hotel”. Also one of her texts was “this was not my fault”. We feel if you own a property to rent it’s your responsibility to ensure that everything is in order for guests. This was our first time renting through VRBO.

This property is my second home. I come for peace and serenity. It is a very special home to me, although it is not the biggest in the Village or on the lake. This home has a peaceful and calming energy and when relaxing in the screened in porch, I feel like I am in a luxury tree house, listening to the birds and watching for deer. We hope you enjoy our home as much as we do!

What makes this property unique

I fell in love with this the first time I saw it, driving up there were several deer in the next door lot. Upon walking in, I knew this was special. There is an adorable swing on the front porch, and the beautiful and peaceful screened in porch. Breathe......
